Visiting Old Town Spring on a business Christmas weekend and a stop by The Tea Kettle Cafe was in order. I was thankful they were able to fit us in even without a reservation. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup and devoured it all! We then ordered tea and a scone. The ambience is inviting with all of the murals on the walls. You can also sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice.

This is a very cute place in old town Spring, TX. I took my 7 year old granddaughter for tea. It was $25 for her and $35 for me for a couple finger sandwiches, tea and small desserts and scones. The scones were choc full of raisins which are a no for both my granddaughter and I. They gave us some blueberry and white chocolate ones that were so sickeningly sweet. We couldn't eat either option. Next time, we'll just order off the menu. Out server was very nice and accommodating, but I think they should give you a heads up on what type of scones they have. Even the macaroons were sooooo sweet!

Ok, let's begin. The ambiance is tea room style. It is a great place to have tea and tea parties. Reservations are required to ensure you have seating. Note: reservation slots fill up fast and you can only reserve up to 30 days in advance. You can book a private room and there are two rooms to choose from depending on size of party. Food - 4 stars The menu is simple but the taste is delightful. We had the chicken and grilled chicken sandwich. Tip: If you want a bigger portion , opt for the grilled chicken sandwich. The tomato soup was thick, creamy, and delicious. The scones were biscuit size infused with lavender or lemon. They had a sweet taste that wasn't overpowering. Customer service - 4 stars Our waitress was nice and attentive. She constantly checked on us and was great. Price - 3-4 dollar signs Here is where $100 went 1- grilled sandwich plate 1- grilled cheese & tomato soup 1- large kettle of hot tea 2- order of scones 1- order of the delicious bread & olive oil Cleanliness- 3 stars Restroom - 3 stars There are two restrooms available. One is large and the other is small (perfect for a thin person or children ). Unfortunately, the larger restroom was not working so there was a challenge for some of the guests to access the smaller one. Overall it was clean.

We had our friends in from out of town and decided to reserve a table for the valentines tea at The Tea Kettle Cafe. Amazing! Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. It was as authentic a high tea can be without being in England. We had our choice of 4 teas our choices were Gossimer, butterbeer, twinkle and black cherry.. after a bit of our two towers of small bites including egg salad, spinach croquettes, veggie sushi, tomato and goat cheese and so much more. The top tier had chocolate dipped strawberries, cannolis, cherry cookies.. all to die for. Service outstanding Would do this again and would recommend for anyone wanting an awesome experience at this whimsical little place.

I just had my 65th birthday party there. It was very nice. They offered a package and also the cranberry mimosas were very good. They offered an array of sandwiches as well as desserts and scones

Came here on a recent afternoon for a tea service/lunch. A table had been reserved for our party of 4 (3 adults and one child), and the staff was waiting for us when we arrived. Lovely little cafe with uniquely-painted walls and an eclectic collection of china and tea cups at your table. Service was good, but at times the one server did look as if she was taking care of everyone that had stopped by in addition to us. Quite a few of the tables were occupied, and she appeared to be running back and forth between them . . . Teas were delicious. I had an iced ginger peach tea (not really a hot tea drinker) and I was very pleased with it. No sugar needed on this iced tea since the flavor stands out by itself and, in my opinion, would be marred by any additions. Finger sandwiches, scones and mini desserts were beautifully arranged. I seemed to be drawn to the finger sandwiches, and each one I had was very good - yes, there was quite a variety, too. Others in my party jumped at the scones (not a fan); I could tell they were thoroughly enjoyed since all of them disappeared in no time! Mini desserts were nice, too: small cheesecakes, mini cream puffs and a sweet bread. The cream puffs (the only dessert I tried) were nicely done. A charming afternoon tea and lunch that all of us enjoyed.

Gabby our server was sweet and attentive. We were behind time and came in an hour before close but felt glad to get a quick meal. It was quickly taken care of and we got to enjoy it without feeling rushed. The hazy chai was so yummy. I will come back so I can try some delicious desserts.

Not sure if it was the owner herself or just a manager but she was very rude to both servers and customers. Thankfully I could tip the server cash instead of on the ipad with her , just hope they don't split tip at the end of it since all she did was sit behind the counter and talk loudly over it to customers or to the waitresses Apart from that , the tea options are insane , anything you can think of was offered ! The food itself did not look good , both online and for nearby customers. The scone was stale and hard to break with the spoon given Loved the atmosphere and decor , will probably be back with my mother in law !

Cheerful sharing while chilling over drinks and pastries - that kind of noise. Have been craving for fries lately and when I saw Common Bond, was very excited but they didn't carry the thick truffle fries which I was so fond of in the other Common Bond. Still, it was good fries and the staff was very friendly.... many high schoolers doing a summer job so they are super nice. They have a rewards program running - once registered, $spent is $earned in points which can be redeemed later. Staff was friendly and seemed like some of them were high schoolers or sort of, doing summer jobs so they were extra courteous and cautious - it was very much appreciated The fresh pastries were inviting and they had a big menu of other eats too. For me Common Bond and their specialty small dessert cakes went hand in hand. And this bakery did keep up that reputation- they had some sumptuous looking mini cakes. Definitely worth a visit.

I do not like most mushrooms and didnt know this before coming but I still liked the coffee, as it seemed a little less heavy than traditional coffee for some reason. They have a decent food selection consisting of pastries and house-made latin/american dishes ranging from homemade chips and guacamole to Chilequiles. Note that all food is either vegetarian or vegan. The theme of the place is artisenal Latin/Mexican. If you dine in, you will receive your cold drink in a tall ceramic mug/cup most likely in an Aztec/Mexican style, while the hot drinks will be served in a mug and the food is served on festive plates. They play light Latin music in the background. They don't really advertise their syrups if you come in for an iced latte like me, but basically any of their artisanal coffees can be made iced or cold and you can choose from any of those ingredients/syrups in those choices to flavor your own custom latte. I also added a slice of banana bread from the pastry case adjacent to the register. The alchemist - a pretty light tasting latte with obvious notes of cinnamon. I liked it. Banana bread - more like a triple slice of bread. Its gluten free and very dense. A little on the dry side, obviously. Overall, I can see why they're highly rated. A must visit if you want to try some of the best coffee woodlands has to offer.

I was recovering from a cold so I decided to order a hot herbal tea and was happy to see that they had such a huge selection of loose leaf teas to choose from. My friend also got one of their lattes and we couldn't resist getting a tiramisu before leaving. Overall, we liked everything and I think this place is worth a visit for that Kafeina latte. - Kafeina Latte (4/5): The lady told us that this latte was half white chocolate and half pistachio and we could definitely tastes both flavors. I really liked how they put a lot of pistachio pieces in the drink, giving it a crunchy texture. This drink is definitely on the sweeter side though, so keep that in mind. - Nutty Almond Cream Cinnamon Herbal Tea (4/5): I was very happy with the flavor of this tea. Like the name suggest, it tasted very almond-y and had a good amount of cinnamon flavored. There was also a tangy fruity flavor that followed and reminded me of spiced cider. - Tiramisu (4.5/5): I was really impressed with their tiramisu. The mascarpone layer was very nice and custardy, yet felt so light and refreshing. I also loved how strong the coffee flavor was which helped balance out the dessert and made it not too sweet. Service/Ambiance: Upon entering, I was really surprised by how pretty the interior was with the mixture of gold and wood. I'm not sure how pack this place usually gets because I came at an off time ( like 1 pm), but they had a good amount of tables and seating available. I did see a handful of people studying, so I think this would be a good quiet study spot.
