I ordered the Aussie iced latte with oat milk, which comes with ice cream. But then my honest, friendly waitress pulls up with freshly made brown butter syrup like she's presenting a plot twist. I tasted the latte before and after because someone else brought it out but listen...that syrup changed the whole personality of the drank!. It went from "oh ok"' to "bihhhh, I'll be back for you." I grabbed a side of pancakes and bacon because I asked my honest waitress about a dish and she quickly gave me her honest opinion which I took. The basic dish was nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing tragic. Honestly, if someone messed up pancakes and bacon, I'd have to call the authorities. With tax and tip, I walked out a little over $20 lighter. These days, that's basically the going rate for breathing in a restaurant, so I wasn't shocked. Overall, service was solid once I sat down from the waitress to the either mgmt or owner that helped her out (I went on a Saturday morning). But that latte? That latte is the reason I'd return. Aussie me up every time!!!!

The vibe is modern and stylish--very "cute," as my wife would say. We were seated right away, and the staff were kind and accommodating throughout our visit. To start, I ordered the Bondi Blue Protein Smoothie while my wife went with the Laird Latte--both were easily 10/10. The kids had orange juice that tasted like it had been freshly squeezed right at the table. For breakfast, my wife chose the Sunshine Burrito, and I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant (with extra chipotle mayo on the side). The kids shared the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. My wife mentioned the burrito could have used a bit more seasoning, but overall the food was a solid 9/10. I especially loved my croissant, and the kids were big fans of the pancakes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot, and I'm already planning to bring the extended family back to try it.

The chandeliers are the main characters for sure. Lol. We popped in for happy hour and was blessed to be served by Argelis, the most handsome bartender on the block. Not only is he eye candy, he makes you feel right at home for the moment you are there. The specialty cocktails were tasty and just the right amount of booze to keep you classy hehe. We had lite bites such as the beef carpaccio and chicken cobb salad. Both were yummy. The only complaint was the ranch dressing wasn't ranching. However the manager was delightful enough to rectify the situation with grace. I love that customer satisfaction is top tier here in a world where it has become a lost art! So kuddos to the team for being GREEEAAAT*in my Tony the Tiger voice! I would definitely come back for a brunch and get dolled up in vintage swag for an expensive day out with the girls. Pinkies up lol. They also have $10 theater tix on Tues! Take notes. This restaurant is #BarbieApproved

Service is friendly and pool restaurant good. The country club is in walking distance if you want golf or tennis. There are several pools. For families, the pool is THE activity and truly, the only activity. The woodlands lake is a 5 min drive so the trolly and pedal boats entertained us! It was fun. The breakfast was delicious. What was a disappointment: - total of 1 lifeguard for the entire pool area, which included three pools and a lazy river with a wave area. There is "swim at your own risk" signage, but that is NOT a family friendly environment. - there is a 1x/ day arts and crafts that you have to pay extra to do. - the other staff-led activities were bingo, movie by the pool, and karaoke. The staff was not energetic, smiling, or enthusiastic with the exception of the activities manager who led the water melon eating contest. - it rained for one of the afternoons so we all went into the conference center for games. Wow was that disappointing. The staff was sitting around at a table, no music, no explanation of the table games, not interacting with the guests. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. Of course the manager said that is absolutely not true. - the staff didn't know how to work the projector for karaoke so the kids just used a laptop that the staff member had sitting on her lap. Minimal interaction etc. The events team staff (minus the supervisor) was really subpar. Easily made for a 2 rating for sure. If you want a true family getaway, the JW Marriott in San Antonio is far superior. Photo with my son and one of the disengaged staff members. I'll also say that, again, for this luxury price, the staff need branded sweaters not oversized personal apparel.

Ordered Prickly Pear Mezcal margarita, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing light IPA beer, cup of Cream of Cauliflower Soup, Caprese Panini on Focaccia bread with Herbed Fries, West Coaster Panini (Ham, Avocado, Arugula) on Ciabatta bread with Herbed Fries, and a Coffee Fudgy Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream to go. Service was fantastic with our server (Will) being very knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks and food arrived quickly and were fantastic - the drinks were on point, the food ample in quantity and flavorful in taste. The Fudgy Brownie was divine! Well-done! As I mention above, the final tally was a bit shocking. Otherwise, a great place to hang out; planning to return to avail of the Mon/Tue $25 Wine and Bruschetta Board special.

[EDIT only to correct to "Postino"]…read more I use the one-stars sparingly, I really do. This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.
