My friend and I sat outside for brunch on a Friday. Our server was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. My friend ordered an omelette with whole-wheat bread (which looked amazing). I ordered a short stack (3) of the fluffy pancakes with blueberries (which were cooked into the pancakes) that came with maple syrup. You'll see from the photo that I couldn't wait to try them! We were both very happy with our choices. I had heard good things about this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. Now I want to try them for lunch. read more

I had booked a reservation for brunch on Easter Sunday. My mom passed away suddenly the Wednesday before Easter. She was supposed to be at the brunch with us. Among the million the things that I had tackle for my mom's wake and funeral, canceling a brunch reservation was not on my mind in such a horrific time. My husband called for me on Saturday (day before Easter) to cancel the reservation. The woman that he spoke to said "You are calling now to cancel and this happened on Wednesday?" How dare she!!?????!!! What an insensitive thing to say. And on top of that I received a $200 charge for canceling. Their policy was to give a 24 hr notice. My husband called at 12:30 pm Saturday and our reservation was for 12 pm the next day! I am sure they filled their table and got their money because that is ALL this woman cared about it. What an absolute terrible thing to say to someone. What an EVIL woman he spoke to on the phone that day. read more

Great food, family run, great service! New specials every day. Great lil spot, we go as often as we can. We love this place!! read more

Working from home and decided just to order for pickup. It's a small luncheonette type of place with a small outdoor seating area as well. Staff were friendly which is a plus. Got the sausage breakfast burrito which was great. And I also got The chicken with bacon biscuits for later. The biscuits are really good. I wish I could order them separately!! Will definitely come back over and over again to explore the rest of the menu. read more

Such a cute and friendly neighborhood joint. Went last night for dinner. Ordered the Cuban sandwich which was yummy. Service was good and overall ambience was fun and relaxed. Will have to go for brunch soon since I've heard it's delicious. What I love most is that the restaurant supports our Ossining community. Thank you to the owners for supporting OHS! read more

A gem! After a day of apple picking a short drive north, we were looking for a place to stop for lunch on the way back to NYC, with three hungry children (and 3 hungry adults in tow) and my wife found Tasty Table. When we walked in (maybe around 2pm on a Sunday) it was very busy, with just a couple of two-tops free outside. The host explained to me she'd check to see if our party of 5 plus a high chair could be seated. The owner then came by and said it would be about 10 minutes for a table. I was tired and exhausted and a little cranky and asked if it was possible to move two tables outside together to accommodate us. I was told that the uneven pavement made that hard, and to please just wait for the other table to finish up. While waiting (and it turned out to only be 3 mins or so) I noticed the sign saying something along the lines of "please don't complain about not being seated right away. We are trying our best" I immediately felt bad for coming in with an attitude. I then looked at the special menu up on the wall and saw a bunch of awesome looking dishes, then around at food and drinks on other people's tables and was excited to dig in, took a deep breath, and tried to relax. While waiting for our table, my sons went to the bathroom, and by time they came back the rest of us were being brought to sit. They were smiling ear to ear holding lollipops that our waitress' father/grandfather had given them. He came back to our table a little later to say hi and play with the baby. It is clear that this is a family restaurant in the truest sense. Run and operated by a family. Welcoming to families. The service was great. Friendly, fast, attentive. The food was awesome. Like really really good. Creative, delicious. Yum. Not an area we frequently find ourselves in, but we will be sure to come back the next time we're near. Thanks for a great meal! read more

Everything you're looking for in a brunch spot! Forget NYC, head to the Tasty Table in Ossining where a warm vibe, great wait staff, and friendly owners greet you as you walk in. The other thing that's fantastic is - you can call 30 minutes ahead and put your name on the waitlist for brunch and they take reservations for dinner! My 15 year old had Nutella-stuffed French Toast with bacon and ate it to the last bite! He also got a hot apple cider - perfectly cozy. I got the California Omelette which was perfectly cooked and creamy with cheese, scallions, and other veggies. And their coffee is great! read more

Amazing service and atmosphere, super friendly staff. Although the food and coffee was a bit of a let down, I enjoyed the experience.

What a menu! My husband is more of a breakfast guy, while I enjoy lunch. Perfect combination. Sorry, we were so busy eating and talking, we didn't take any photos. read more

The tasty Table is one of my favorite places to either eat at or get take out. The chicken panini is my favorite along with their fries.

On 5/8/2022, I took my mother-in-law out for Mother's Day brunch! It's a really cute spot with indoor/outdoor dining. Everything was good -customer service, food, mimosas, and the BANANA PUDDING was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try other food from the menu. read more

Realistically I'd like to rate this 3.5 stars, but on the higher end of that. I brought my wife with some friends for her birthday brunch. The call ahead system worked great since we live about 30 min away and had friends coming from CT. Friends got mimosa flights which they enjoyed. Wifey and I got the iced coffee flight and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate me and make mine decaf since I have a caffeine sensitivity but still love coffee. Overall the flight was okay, the pumpkin was my favorite and I wasn't crazy about the chocolate ones but I don't love chocolate in my coffee to begin with. We ordered scones to start, the blueberry lavender was fantastic. My chocolate chip scone was undercooked as the dough was slightly raw in the middle but wasn't worth sending back, still tasted good. We ordered the following: Breakfast Pizza which wasn't quite what was expected, but our friend liked it; Chicken Caprese Panini which was great, however our friend said the fries weren't good; Chicken and Biscuits which was also great (however the friend that ordered this had to wait like 10 extra minutes for their dish which was upsetting); Eggs Benedict and Southern BBQ Eggs Benedict which my wife liked hers, but I did not. I found the hollandaise to be too lemony which was off-putting and the brisket not super flavorful, and the cornbread dry. The potatoes it came with were my favorite, I'd eat a whole bowl of those! The establishment is small, but I found service was lacking. We had to ask 3 different staff for a round of waters and no one came to check on us mid meal. The interactions we did have were pleasant though. I do want to come back and explore more of the menu. read more

Meh It's a bit overrated. Awesome decor, open kitchen, small sweets area . Big chalkboard full of specials. Service was a tad bit slow and the entire staff should be more attentive to what's on the plate. Burned bacon is not acceptable. Apparently to them it is. I quote "It happens now and then" 5 stars on the burger itself for temperature. Asked for very rare got it rare. Yes!! Will I return? Nah!! From the looks I was given to the few complaints I won't mention, I'll pass. But thank you. read more

*Edit - I cant seem to change my location from San Francisco (?) to Ossining* Everything I have eaten here has been very good. Would I have preferred a classic english muffin under my benedict? Yes, but that's on me. The menu was very clear and I figured I'd give it a shot. Plenty of other dishes that I enjoyed (the Cuban panini comes to mind). I usually order either delivery or pickup/takeaway and the young servers and host have never been anything other than friendly and welcoming. On one occasion an iced coffee was missing from my order, and I gave them a call. The owner was super apologetic and I went back and got the item. It was a non-event, but the owner seemed angry with HERSELF for the oversight. Things happen! What pains me is there is a chalkboard imploring guests to be patient, kind and respectful to the servers. This wouldnt be there unless it was needed. I see there are some people from out of town in the reviews but for the most part this is a neighborhood joint. Are my neighbors being mean to THEIR neighbors (many of whom appear to still be in high school??) I can understand "hey what gives I have been waiting a while" but disrespect? Unacceptable. read more

Visited this place for the first time with a good friend and it was a pleasant surprise. It is a perfect place to have brunch with family or friends. I ordered the breakfast flatbread ( savory ) which was delicious. The dishes were presented well and the staff was attentive. I will be back! read more

I never write reviews but save your money and dont get catering from here. I ordered 185 dollars worth of food for 10 people. Part of the order was wrong and looked like it was just thrown together. If I'm going to be paying 18 dollars per person for food I would rather get 10 sandwiches from the deli or order day of from a restaurant. Will never be ordering from here again. Extremely disappointed. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the person who I was coordinating my order with was nice. Edit: (just took off a star) I didnt reach out because best case scenario I would get some money back and someone else would make the mistake of getting catering from here. Also i ordered spinach and cheese croissants and got arugula and cheese. I know it's a small error but considering the fact that I typed out the order over email it seems kinda weird that they got it wrong. Also the cheese in the arugula and cheese croissants were all over the tray. It was shredded cheese and just did not look appetizing. I guess I expected slices of cheese with spinach so it would look good and stay together but I got shredded cheese with arugula. Also whether its $18 or $16.50 per person, it was still a big waste of money! read more

in the photo on the page the waffles looked amazing, but in the real thing... it was horrible, i even saw a rat there i would definitley say it was false advertising, that is all why im giving it 5 stars read more

Pulling up the place doesn't look like much located in classic 1950's retail building at an ordinary neighborhood corner. However, far from ordinary, The Tasty Table is extraordinary. Food truly delicious, very fresh, highest quality grade ingredients. Great healthy menu. Good dressings. Ordered a delicious tomato cream soup and poke bowl with quinoa, greens, veggies and smoked salmon. Of courses, the bowls allow choices on the meat toppings. My husband ordered burger and fries * loved them. Gotta try their cappuccino * delicious. Decor is modern rustic, a casualness that makes you relax and want to linger over your meal * you might stay awhile. Service is perfect. Couldn't want for a better diner. We will be back again and again! read more

We just took our relatives from Italy for brunch (5 adults and 2 kids) and everyone was blown away. For my two picky eaters to eat everything on their plates (Ranchos Huevos and Nutella waffle) is a sight to be seen! The adults enjoyed the BLT, Eggs Benedict, and banana pancakes. So many awesome choices with the freshest ingredients. The lavender coffee and hot apple cider were perfect. Our server Briana was super friendly and attentive and Lisa, the host/owner, was also great. They were super busy, but the wait was not bad at all and the food came out super quick. We will definitely be coming back to try the dinner menu. Thank you for the great brunch! read more

What an incredible experience! The food was fresh, delicious and what a creative menu - so unique! We had a multiple of brunch options from the eggs, avocado toast to Poke Bowls. What left the impression for us was not only the food but also the hospitality. We felt in a safe space, as if we were at home. A time for us to get out safely (protecting my in laws) but also a respite from the day by day. I already have it earmarked to try outdoor dining during the summer - maybe with some mimosas? :-). Thank you Lisa & Dan & your staff for a wonderful time. MY TIP: Get there this weekend! read more

Super busy place- attentive staff and owner :) great food and ambiance - curious how the dinner menu is so I will be back :)

We had a very enjoyable meal here. It also helped that it was pet friendly. We had brunch meal today and had the chicken sandwich on homemade biscuits with bacon. This was very filling. 3 small tapas style sliders but definite generous portion. We also had the chili scramble. The combination was great. Multigrain toast was also good wanted a bagel but they ran out... that's a good problem to have in a cafe of that size. Friendly service and would return. A must try for a place in this area doesn't seem to be a lot of choices for a place like here. We visited from south New Jersey but will definitely recommend to anyone we know Headed this way ! read more

The food is mediocre, but the real issue is here is the owners. Witnessed them being rude and argumentative with employees and customers. Spoke to a waiter who confirmed the owners constantly yell at everyone. Shakshuka lacked flavor and the scones were dry. See their response below. Perfect example of how they talk to people. read more

Update: Lisa, what you've described is categorically inaccurate. I didn't speak to you or your staff in that manner at all. Not even remotely close. Your reaction is consistent with reactions you've had with some other reviews, which to me suggests the issue is greater than a simple miscommunication when making a reservation. Terrible customer service. Lisa the owner was incredibly rude and spoke down to me when there was a a mistake (on their end) with our reservation. When I booked the reservation they had asked to sign a form and secure the reservation with our credit card and email it back. I had told them over the phone, I didn't feel comfortable emailing my credit card info and was happy to state it over the phone. I was reassured that my reservation was all set and that someone would call me to take my cc information. They reached out and left a voicemail, which I immediately called back and was only able to leave another message for them to reach back out. Lisa then called me and was forceful in her tone saying they did not have that reservation. When I attempted to explain the sequence of events of how I was reassured I had the reservation, she continued to interrupt me and say the time was no longer available. She was rude and just talked over me and her voice just got increasingly louder. When I had asked if it was possible to make an exception to sit outside, since again I was reassured I had the reservation, she did not make any attempt to make it right. I have been to many restaurants and never have been treated like this by someone, especially an owner. I should have looked at other reviews and noticed that, the owner Lisa, treats others in a condescending manner. Looking at how she has responded to other reviews is concerning. It was very disappointing. read more

I recently visited with my mother and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Despite arriving at 6 p.m. with only two other tables occupied, we waited over an hour for our food, the wheel and pasta. which was smaller than advertised and overpriced. The service was inattentive--no one checked on us, and I had to get up multiple times to request basic items. Dirty dishes were left on our table throughout the waiting time, even as we ordered dessert and coffee, which never arrived. Ultimately, I had to cancel that and request the check myself. Overall, it was a poor experience, and I do not recommend this place. read more

Wow..... Awful experience. Would NEVER recommend or return. If it wasn't enough for the owners lack of hospitality, the workers eyes being rolled half way into their heads was enough. We arrived within the limits of our reservation and were greeted with the attitude of a thousand angry rams saying that we were late and lost our table, even though we literally saw the table open. Was told it had to remain open "just in case" someone else called for a table. And would you guess... no one showed up for the table but us! It was a Christmas miracle! the table that was already ours became ours! We were told the wait would be for an hour and fifteen minutes, but who knew that meant for WATER. Yes, it's true-- we had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for a single cup of tap water. And they didn't even take our order when they came, we could've watched a whole movie and came back in time for the bland and cold food, with incorrect orders and dietary accommodations as someone in our party has major dietary allergies. We alerted each of the three wait staff that came to our table about allergies and needs and none of them were met. Before we even got water, the hostess who is the owner gave us miscellaneous freebies of food items. The thought was nice... I guess? But where is the water? We initially came here for the iced coffee flights we heard were all the rave. The rave must've been dead because we received four bland black coffees topped with little bites confetti muffins and one sad, singular, teddy graham. The rest had sorry ass whipped cream and none of them were even flavored to the flight menu! How is that a coffee flight??? It would've been easier to understand mix ups or confusions had the wait staff, specifically, the girl with the curly hair and attitude, were a little more kind. We were a very understanding bunch and tried to make light of the very disappointing and confusing situation. Had the place been more busy, we can understand workers being overwhelmed, but alas it was hardly full. Can't say I recommend anything or would be enticed to come back because everything felt as if it was sitting out for the hour and fifteen minutes we waited for the water and the hour between we waited for ordering. Their one saving grace, a cute little private bathroom. And Lisa, save it, I'm already anticipating a nasty, classless, and embarrassing reply. Maybe you should've decided to open a business after some lessons on professionalism. And while you're there, make sure your wait staff takes it with you. Your online responses to criticism gives your establishment a shameful, and cringeworthy appeal, "you complete freak!" P.s. That's a call back to one of your nasty replies to a review :) And before you question why we didn't say anything in the moment, how would you feel as a deer walking through a hostile lions den? Of course we didn't say anything, you were rude before we even sat. read more
