My family and I enjoyed Mother's Day dinner here last night. It was easy to make a reservation online and although it was busy service was fine. The calamari we ordered as an appetizer was excellent, we were all impressed with how crispy it was and the family sized was the perfect portion. I ordered Chicken Capriccioso and found it to be just ok, it was a nice portion but could've used more flavor. Even though it was crowded for Mother's Day it wasn't too loud and we had no problem hearing each other. Overall a decent meal, would recommend if you're in the Briarcliff area. read more

we went there for our 56 anniversary. The food and service were very good . Our only complaint was the noise level in the dining room. It sounded like a high school cafeteria . We spoke to the waiter about the excessive sound level . HE SAID IT IS A COMMON COMPLAINT! Why don,t they deal with it and add available acoustic material to fix the problem read more

Great place. The food is consistently good or better. Their hours and being open all the time get them plenty of bonus points like not closing on Mondays or holidays. I really like how they do all 3 meals and are full service including having a full bar. The bloody Mary's are recommended with your tasty breakfasts. The place used to offer their own delivery (they might still, but I haven't checked as i moved farther away) which was an amazing benefit during Covid. They have q nice patio as well as a large enclosed porch manning then dog-friendly and suitable for any time of year. My mother in law put together my Baby shower at Tierra Rustica. I wanted a certain room and my mother in law was told the room was available. I did not know this happened but I wish I did. A manager by the name of Jose, told my in laws last minute the room I wanted to given to another party because "they paid more". I also had a onsie station the vendor was there and she needed a chord to put together the onsie station. I learned after my shower that the manager Jose was extremely rude to the point that she wanted to walk out. My father in law was able to calm the situation. My onsie lady stated she had never experienced this ever at a venue. I wish I would have known. The manager Jose does not seem to know how to actually be a manager. He sounds like a person that is too power hungry and does not know actually how to one talk to people and two, actually manage a restaurant. What happened was very unprofessional and not right. I will never give my money to Tierra Rustica ever again after this event happened. To Jose you really need to learn how to speak to people and learn communication skills, because it sounds like you lack them to the extreme. You do not succeed in a business with your type of personality. read more

No wrap?' I said yes just chicken Milanese. I got a piece of chicken and that was it. When I called to ask what happened they claimed I ordered incorrectly and the manager would do nothing about it. I've been wanting to try out Terra Rustica, so before my son headed back to college we went for the last hurrah dinner with the family. Hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive at the beginning, but after we got our entrees we didn't see him again until we were looking for him to bring us our check. Our appetizers (fried zucchini and caesar salad were very good. Our entree portions were good. I was telling my husband that I was sure that my entree should have clams in it, but it didn't and I couldn't find our server. I checked the menu again when I got home and sure enough it should have. So we're up here peeking at the footage up on the Taconic and Route 9A. Many trees are brown but thankfully there are stunning exceptions. We come upon on this place a decide to get early dinner. I order the chicken quesadillas. They come and they are huge. My friend ordered starting with lentil soup which was hearty and robust. Then the fish Del Amore halibut and he was disappointed. Holiday dinner with friends. We were looking for a varied and full menu with good food and service and a nicely decorated space. We hit all of the above at Terra Rustica. Large space spruced up with cheerful lights and "gift bags" all around. We saw that the space that accommodates groups and parties and is well staffed and apparently well organized, serving Italian dishes with many offered as "family sized" portion as well as "single servings". The Honey and I started with a "single serving" of the Caesar Salad. It was generous enough for both of us to enjoy it. We followed with the Double Cut Pork Chop for me and the Chicken Marsala for her. These too were well cooked and generously portioned, so much so that we each took a half of the serving home for a lunch. Our friends each had the Vitello Martini that they raved about. We finished the meal with coffee and an assortment of desserts - the Millionaire's Coffee, the Sinful Chocolate Ganache, the Vanilla Panacotta and a plate of the Biscotti Della Nonna - each delicious and beautifully presented. Hands down, this is the best restaurant in all of Westchester, and honestly, it could rival anywhere in New York State. Absolutely horrible customer service! The owner/manager ruined our Christmas Eve. When we arrived we waited over 30 mins just to get menus which were food stained, and then waited on our wine. They squeezed a table on top of us that was not there when we arrived. During dinner tow trucks came to the overflow lot and we all had to run out to find somewhere to put our cars. 15 mins later I returned to eat dinner stressed. We then ordered desserts and specialty coffees and was told while having dessert there was a line and we should finish and get out! We had not even received our bill yet and we were still eating. Disgraceful customer service. Tables nearby had people sitting, not eating and hanging out with their babies like in their living room. Guess they are friends of the owner.I walked out recently due to the fact they do not honor reservations and are rude. After we argued she took the dessert off the bill. Every time I have ordered for my disabled father, there was a sweet man that answered the phone. Tonight, some arrogant, nasty man who took the wrong information down, had the food delivered with wrong name and my father got his food 40 minutes after it was delivered to his nursing home. And even though HE took the order, acted like someone else put the wrong name down and would not put me on the phone with the manager. I order from this place 2-3 times a month, the same dish. Have been there a few times and I/We are always greeted very nicely and warmly. They have a wonderful dinner menu and a wine list that's excellent...a lot to choose from. And...we did order a couple glasses of pinot noir. Nice looking joint with a comforting atmosphere. We had ordered some appetizers (BTW...many choices). A dish of bruschetta and also a dish of fried calamari. There was plenty and they tasted great! For dinner I had ordered the Chilean Sea-Bass with some roasted potatoes and my Girlfriend ordered the seafood risotto and the dish was full and all was prepared perfectly. We ordered a couple garden salads and some broccoli rabe as well. The wait staff were very nice and professional and made sure our glasses were full and extra bread was on the table. We've always had a good experience at Terra Rustica and we like it very much...so we don't mind the ride up to Briarcliff Manor. BTW, there's plenty of parking right out front. The facility is very nice and so are the wait staff. The view and ambiance are nice too but all that matters not when your food is not tasty and on point. I ordered baked flounder with peppercorn sauce with asparagus and French fries. The flounder was cooked so long it was as lifeless and dry. It was like rubber. Like someone cooked the flounder in the microwave and then switched it to my plate. I thoroughly enjoyed the Snow White cosmo drink though. However, suffice it to say I won't be going back because I drive 45 minutes to get to the restaurant and had my palate all fixed for what I thought would be a tantalizing meal. read more

The owner is really friendly and he does a great job of making this a restaurant you want to keep coming back to. They built out their patio for semi outdoor seating. The food was very good. The service was terrible. Upon confronting the manager about the hour plus wait for the entree he told me he would comp the beverages (3 sodas and one alcoholic drink). Upon receiving the check I noticed the drinks were still present. When I approached the manager he said he didn't charge the $2 per person cake cutting fee. That would be a total of $10. I told the manager that he should have done what he said regarding the drinks. Attended a work dinner here this week and wasn't disappointed. A colleague of mine made a reservation for a large group....he said that they were super accommodating and helpful. When we arrived, there were plates of bruschetta and loaded bread baskets on the table (with focaccia, warm italian bread and breadsticks). On the side, there were dishes of seasoned olive oil for dipping with a few olives tossed in there for good measure. Many of us had not eaten much (or anything in my case) all day, so we tore into those bread baskets and ordered beverages. I stuck with iced tea, but others at the table had cocktails and different kinds of wine. We didn't order any appetizers and we went right for the main courses due to the portion sizes. I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked - not fishy at all - plated on top of sautéed spinach (not greasy) and smooth mashed potatoes. The peppercorn sauce brought this whole dish together beautifully. Others at the table had linguini with clam sauce, chicken, veal, pasta, fish specials....everyone raved about their food. Brunch on Fathers Day was Great! My family ordered from the regular menu and the special menu. Filet Mignon & Eggs, Waffles with Cinnamon Apples, French Toast with Espresso, Mascarpone Cheese & Fresh Fruit, Italian Omelette, endless hot delicious coffee ALL Wonderful! While I was really pleased with the food, the service left much to be desired. The dishes were delicious, fresh, and well-prepared, which is why I'm giving three stars.
