This place did no to seat us until two other members of our party were here. While this place has strong reviews, they need to consider the walk in customer experience. Having said that, this place feels like a very Instagram like environment. All of their dishes are picture worthy and the food is fabulous. They have a variety of different Pancake and French toast varieties as well as brunch bowls. They are quite innovative in their menu items. Some folks ordered a tiered mimosa tasting flight. This is a great place for brunch and the servers are super friendly. I ordered the Bibimbap bowl which was so tasty and filling! This is a unique amongst the brunch and breakfast spots in Westchester and should not be missed. Note, they do get very busy here and you could be waiting. Get here early! read more

Just had an event at this place. Promised the moon sun and stars and service was horrible. Was told would have two people to help set up. That was a lie. Drinks ordered took 30 minutes to arrive while the restaurant was not busy. Drinks were 75% juice and not worth it. None of the staff knew who ordered what. Food was dropped in people's lap while serving others. Outside people were allowed to invade reserved space. For the money they charge, totally not worth it. Save your money! read more

First time here. We came for Saturday morning breakfast. We were greeted promptly and got a nice corner table. A very open dining layout with good visibility and nice decoration to the restaurant. A broad menu selection for both breakfast and lunch. In our party, we had one diner choose an avocado toast breakfast with a poached egg. Beautiful presentation and I hear very tasty and well prepared. Balsamic drizzle was selected to be served on the side, which was also well received. Another diner had the Pecan pancakes. 3 large fluffy pancakes. There could/should have been a bit more pecan in the batter. They also were just a tad doughy. Our third diner had the classic big breakfast of eggs,meat, potatoes. The bacon needed a little more cooking time and the toast selection for this diner was underwhelming in texture. My meat lovers omelette was excellent. Nice combination of meats, onions, peppers and nicely prepared. A side of sourdough toast was a good choice in my case. The room gets noisy quickly with the hard wall and ceiling allowing sound to bounce even when only at 20% capacity. Service was very good. Parking was easy. Overall a very nice alternative to choose but some additional attention to preparation would help for a stronger review. Glad to try again. read more

This is my first time visiting the brunch house and I don't think I'll be coming back. We ordered hot coffee, iced coffee, the cannoli pancakes and the over the top avocado. Our coffee tasted like hard water and I couldn't stomach that. The pancakes were alright thanks to the cannoli cream. The sourdough bread used for the avocado toast tasted like old bread. All were very tasty and with pretty delicious sides. The fluffy blueberry pancakes were memorable, airy, delicious with the airplay frosting drizzle. Blueberries were fresh! The huevos ran heros was flavorsome and filling. The omelet had a good amount of fixings with the crispy perfectly since potatoes. The service was friendly and consistent with check ins. The slave ourself feels like a huge farmhouse modern space with odd steely wall art and high ceilings. Had lunch at The Brunch House yesterday with some friends and, as always, it was great. They have such a wide selection of menu options and everything I ever had there has been delicious. The staff and owner are beyond accommodating and so pleasant. I can't not mention how pretty and inviting the restaurant is too and they have outside setting as well for the nice weather. As a heads up, if you go during the weekend, it is packed and they don't take reservations so either go early or late on the weekends but even better if you are able to , go during a weekday! read more

Took 20 mins to order drinks once seated and we said we had whole order ready and waitress said they are backed up in kitchen she will get drinks and then take our order. Now almost 30 mins in we got our order in and food took about an hour to come out for pancakes and eggs. I get they are busy but our waitress never checked on us and we asked the busboy for water and straws and syrup bc she never brought it. Then it for worse they add a 20% gratuity after the service sucked. Save your money and go somewhere else this place needs a lot of kinks worked on. read more

I really really wanted to like this place but there were many things wrong with this place. We were seated right away (weekday morning) and the waitress came up right away to ask us for our drink order. I thought wow great service. However, the drinks took a bit to come out and the last drink was brought to the table by someone else. Our server did not come back to our table until well into the end of our meals. We waited quite a while until another server came and asked us if we had ordered which we had not. She apologized and took our orders. At this point there were at least 5 other tables that were waiting to order and the table next to me arrived before us and were still waiting for their meals as we were finishing up. The food was also average. Nothing stood out and it mostly lacked flavor. The only good thing was the home fries. The lemonade tasted powdery and although the menu says $4 we were charged $5- definitely not worth $4 let alone $5. Pancakes were also gummy and not cooked through and the breakfast of champions only included 1. This place had so much potential and the inside was nice but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. I'd definitely skip. read more

Owner promised us certain things for the party, yes us to death but when the party came changed her mind. They booked a flight after we booked our party and tried to move our party earlier after we sent out invitations. Towards the end of the party the they kept saying to our guests "we have to catch a flight " rushing the party, unprofessional especially when she pulled me aside and called one of my guests a b**** during the party. The food was tasty but few things should have been served warm but instead everything was just on platters probably because they didn't want to have much clean up after the party because their flight... Workers weren't helpful with setting up the party at first, Someone in my family heard them say we don't move tables ..... thats pleasant and good service??. And then it took substantially longer to bring the water vs the other drinks It appeared as though the heat wasn't turned on as it was very cold inside and even colder in the bathrooms. The bathrooms were clean but the facet in the men's room didn't work when water was being used elsewhere in the building. This place is a find! Went with hubby on a Thursday morning around 930. No problem parking no problem being seated right away. Our server was very pleasant. I had the lemon blueberry pancakes. Hubby had supreme omelette. Both meals were very generous. Don't exactly know that I would know the pancakes were lemon, but the topping definitely had a lemon taste. And the blueberries were fresh and delicious. Ordered iced coffee, which was mediocre. Would definitely come again. We just went to The Bruch House for the third time, and as usual was a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, the space is beautiful, but the showstopper is always the service. This family owned and operated restaurant takes service with a smile to a new level and makes us feel like part of their family every time we've come. The owner's daughter, Bella, has served us on our last two visits. She's so nice and welcoming, and despite only having met her once about 5 months ago, remembered our family and hugged us as we left. I TOTALLY LOVE THIS PLACE! It's truly a hidden gem in Mahopac. The road it's on makes it not very noticeable and I pass by it a few times before driving into their parking lot. The vibe of the place is to die for. The ambience is a cute and cozy cafe with a bar. Even though there is a bar, it's totally family friendly. The food was delicious! I had the brunch bowl and my dad had the Cuban sandwich. My meal was delicious and filling because it is a lot of potatoes but it is overall delicious. My company said their sandwich was really good as well. I also had their cappuccino which was awesome except for a few things. One was that the waitress was very slow when it came to my cappuccino. The place at the time wasn't crowded except for 2 families eating, not including my group of 2. This was off putting but I put it aside because she was very nice otherwise. But I got annoyed the most when she finally brought my cappuccino, the plate it was on was dirty because my cappuccino was dripping profusely into it. It felt like a quarter of the coffee was in the plate. Besides this, food was good. The service was ok, even though my waitress was super nice. My biggest concern... the prices. The food was delicious but it wasn't worth those prices. This place is awesome for girls' brunches, or cute breakfast dates but I don't agree with their prices. As soon as we left, we agreed on that this place would be a once in a blue breakfast spot. I truly love this place! As much I critique, it is awesome and their food is to die for. I had received a $50 gift card from a colleague for this restaurant on December 12th 2023 and I was so excited to try it out. The gift card had no expiration date on it so I didn't feel any urgency to use it, and went a few months later (11 months) had a 58$ breakfast only to be told that my gift card had expired and could not be accepted? I was confused because there was no date at all on the card and my colleague assured me and even showed me proof it was purchased early December (less than a year). So it would not have been expired either way. My husband and I did not make a scene and instead paid and left knowing that the owner would likely honor the gift card as it was not expired. after numerous attempts to reach the owner, months later i called again for the 4th time and finally spoke to the owner who stated there's no proof of purchase since it was from 2023 and even with the receipt from the doctor stating it had been bought well within the year expiration date, they would not honor it because it's too late now. I'm disgusted. read more
