Cant believe this place has been down the road from my job for almost two years and im only trying it just now. Everything we had was super good, and we were bummed be got so full fast because there was more we wanted to try. Beautiful space- so happy to have a new fun place in this area. Spoke with the owner a bit- a Somers grad- and this is his first restaurant! Drinks were great. Don't order the spicy margarita if you're not REALLY into spicy because these were the real deal. The spicy pickle is the same but with a splash of pickle juice. Both were tasty. I also had a paloma, which was light and refreshing. The anejo old fashioned was good but it was a small pour. We've been here a few times and it doesn't disappoint. Great happy hour deals too. Stopped by for dinner on Tuesday for their taco tuesday deal and had a great meal. Would definitely order the pork belly and birria tacos again. The baja fish was good, but parts were a little bit dry as they decided to batter/fry several small pieces of fish rather than a larger fillet. Margaritas were great as always. read more

Last week, we stopped at the Tortilla project. (We were there last year. We live 5 hours away but we were in the area and had to stop again.) The interior is very welcoming. Great vibe! Beautiful a bar set up. TV is on if you want to catch a sporting event. Staff is very welcoming. The chili mango and Spicy margaritas were excellent. The guacamole and chips are outstanding. We chose several appetizers to share. The portobello mushroom tacos were delicious! The plaintains were also outstanding! All choices were delicious! Can't go wrong with any choice. We also saved room for dessert- mango coconut truffle! If you like coconut much as I do, this dessert is for you. Service is attentive and quick. Restaurant is also very clean! A wonderful hole in the wall place, nicely decorated with good music. I've been here twice now and sat at the bar both times. I've had the birria tacos, street corn salad, poutine, fish tacos, and chicken empanada. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Had dinner here with friends and really enjoyed it!! The space is small but fun and the service was super quick. We tried the coconut margarita which was tasty. We split the shrimp tacos and Baja fish tacos- really good! The seared tuna was also delicious. Then because we didn't have enough seafood we got the crab empanadas. Also good!! I was a little hesitant to try this place (unsure why), but I had a late lunch with my mom today and wow!! We had the: - Shrimp Ceviche - light, flavorful, fresh and so delicious! - Birria Tacos - A spin on Beef tacos. They come closed by melted cheese and are unreal! It came with a sauce that was fine, but the taco doesn't need it - Baja Fish Taco - I didn't have these, but my mom loved them and left nothing in the plate - Plantains - these are the equivalent of maduros and come with a light sauce. I'm Latin and they were delicious! Mitch, the owner, tastes everything before it goes out-- this is a plus for me! Great ambiance. They redid this place so beautifully and clean. I love that the chef can be seen and the chairs at the bar super comfy. Drinks were great spicy but not impossible to drink because your throat is on fire lol the guacamole was a bit on the limey salty side and I had no fork to maybe mix it around, house made chips great. Yucca Fries and the side sauce Yummy! My Poke Tuna taco would have been amazing if my shell wasn't so greasy. I ate them all however just need more attention when they are being fried to not over saturate, my cousin who ordered the I birria taco had the same complaint and would have preferred no cheese as it didn't add to the wonderful flavor of Ibirria. Desert was meh. Didnt taste like fresh Tres Leches more like something you get frozen at BJs but overall will be back many times as those small things won't keep us away. read more

Soft lighting, modern, classy and cozy all in one. The Service..our Bartender / server Hannah ( we always eat at the bar ) was fantastic! Professional, knowledgeable, and sweet..( a great representative of this establishment ) and now. The food..Delicious! Small plates ( which Hannah explained and made perfect recommendations on how to order ) On that note, let me apologize for the lack of food pics..I made a rookie mistake, as the food looked so good, I ate it all then realized I forgot my pics...what can I say, I love a great taco!. We left here so happy! And ready to come back again. The food was delicious with clearly fresh ingredients and unique combinations (like an arepa with chorizo, shrimp and tomato in a cream sauce). The vibe is modern but comfortable- lots of great design touches. Spacious for a small space overall. The owner took time to tell us about the dishes and how they chose what went on the menu. I'd highly recommend the arepa, taquitos and shrimp tacos. Even the chips are clearly homemade in house and lightly seasoned with spices. Such a good touch. Can't wait to come back to try the drinks! Had dinner at the bar and service was very thoughtful; our arepa appetizer was delicious, and the birria tacos were tasty (preferred these to the pork belly, which was a little too crisp). The corn salad side dish we ordered was a nice add-on. Felt the spicy peach margarita and coconut margarita could have been stronger and there was a LONG wait between our app and tacos. Inattentive waitress that stunk like cigarettes took 15 min to take a drink order. She disappeared for another 10, and then came back and asked us if we'd like to order drinks. So there was that. Food took 30 min to come out. It was cold. It was missing 2 items. Waitress disappeared again so I couldn't even tell her it was missing. She never came back to ask if I'd like a refill on my drink. All in all this place is overpriced with sub par food, and atrocious service. This was the 2nd and last time for us. read more

Great addition to the area. I went with my family last week and the food and service were great. We got the corn ribs, queso, fish and meat tacos and they were all delicious. Everything went well. My colleague and I went for an after-work drink and some small bites. We received excellent service from Mitch, who I initially thought was the bartender but he was actually one of the owners. He was very friendly and warm. When I asked for a recommendation, he suggested we try at least two things to start, so we did. We ordered some fresh guacamole and chips and also some skirt steak. My colleague ordered the spicy margarita, while I kept it simple with a traditional margarita. Both drinks were excellent. It was a great end to the workday because the atmosphere was completely chill. The place is great for a small group and perfect for a more intimate evening. I'm looking forward to returning. Cute little place in the shopping center. Couldn't find it at first but it's right next to Jv bagels and dollar joes. Our server was amazing as well as anyone else who came up to us!!! Went the other night guacamole was very bland. Drinks were ok not served in traditional margarita glasses. Small plates the taquitos didn't taste good, the corn empanadas too thick was ok. Grilled octopus tasted fishy. Wasn't a favorite place for my friend and I. Spoke to another friend who recently went and said the same comments. Go see for yourself everyone has different taste. Amazing food, service, and live music! The first time I was here it was too hot, but they seem to have fixed the AC.

My husband and I were anxiously waiting for this restaurant to open. We decided to go after work one night this week and when we walked in there were a few people there and a guy there setting up to play live music. we decided to sit at the bar and the bartender came over and offered us water and gave us our menus. a few minutes later he came over and took our drink orders. I ordered a margarita and my husband had a beer. I will say the margarita was very good but expansive we proceeded to order ceviche and some tacos . you get 3 tacos per order and I will say although they were not horrible they weren't worth the price. not once did anyone come over and ask how everything was or if we needed anything. we are not the type who want or need to be catered to but one who think being you are a new restaurant owner you would want to make sure your patrons are happy. overall it was not a bad experience however when the food Is average and you are charging high prices you aren't getting your moneys worth. read more
