Went here for lunch, and as soon as you walk in you can tell that you are going to have an amazing time. The whole place is decorated to the brim with Mexican decor, making you feel so so welcomed and excited, and our server Yenny was so kind, quick, and genuine. The food was nothing short of spectacular, I am not a fan guacamole but this place made me fall in love with it. Genuinely the best that I've ever had in my life. I ended up ordering the empanadas, burritos, and the flautas which were soooo filling but just so good I couldn't put them down. We stopped by one afternoon, around 3pm. We were greeted and seated immediately. The ambiance is cozy, clean, lots of traditional Mexican decor. The food is delicious we ordered steak tacos, which came with rice beans and the tacos. They let you chose two types of tacos so we also got a chicken taco. They were so filling. We also ordered the skirt steak puntas and it was spicy! It came with rice beans and fajitas. This was also very filling. We really enjoyed our visit here. Casual Mexican restaurant in Mahopac, NY with some fun karaoke weekends. We were looking for a place to have dinner, and their restaurant was open later than many restaurants so we stopped to have a bite. Our timing was close to kitchen closing time but when the Karaoke night was getting crowded and into full swing. As a result the dining area was closed and we had a quick bite at a bar table in the middle of festive karaoke. Service. Outstanding. The server was very attentive and helpful, and the bartender was also extremely friendly. Not to forget the karaoke workers, including the sweet woman who was like the hostess with the mostest with her smiles, positive energy and enthusiasm - making her way back and forth in the bar area taking requests, making anyone feel comfortable singing karaoke. Food. I was not blown away with the food, but given we were there as the kitchen was closing, I would try again. I am a bit of a Mexican food snob so have high standards. - fajitas, mixed. Good but a bit saucy for my tastes. - shrimp ceviche. This was served as a salad with mixed greens and some full shrimp. Very good but not ceviche. - tacos. I prefer fresh ground beef and chunky tomatoes and lettuce like mom used to make when I was young, as opposed to the softer consistency of the beef in these tacos. First time here and I'm a huge fan! Everything was so delicious. The chips were served warm with the salsa. My my daughter had a taco and son had chicken fingers; both came with fries. Hubby and I had the same thing - 3 tacos filled with skirt steak. OMG it was to die for. Whatever they marinate the steak in, it was so flavorful and delicious. For dessert my daughter wanted the fried cheesecake and my son wanted the fried ice cream. I had a taste of both. Can never go wrong with friend ice cream!! The fried cheesecake was tasty. I have ordered from this restaurant for a few years now and they have been consistently good. The last two times have been horrible. I ordered a steak fajita and the portion has been reduced. The amount of steak they gave me wasn't enough for me to stuff the three tortillas they gave me to eat with them. The sauce was watered down so it had little flavor. The tacos came separately with the chicken ,salsa and other fixings. It was again underwhelming. Another $15.99 dish that probably cost 1/3 of what was paid. I will say I will never order here again. I couldn't wait to try this place based recommendations I received from friends and family. So I ventured in there the other night and I have to say I was pretty disappointed! For starters, the staff has a bit of an edge and don't appear friendly. The chips are given in these little bread baskets (we used to see in the restaurants from the 70s). Needless to say, they are very small and the salsa bowl for the table was a "mini me" version of the black footed bowls you get in other Mexican restaurants The chips were stale, cold and super salty. We polished off one basket because we were 5 people and sharing that little basket equated to 4-5 chips each. When we asked for more chips we were told that we would be charged after the second basket. WHAT?!? How incredibly cheap is that? I have never heard of that before. It didn't matter at this point so keep your salty chips and the salsa (scant amount) had a strange smokey flavor too. On to the meal...Disappointing too. The chicken chimichanga and Flautas had a very dry texture and were flavorless. The edges on the flautas were so dry that they were completely burnt! The enchilada made of cheese was chewey and gummy. Blech! Obviously you can imagine how thirsty you get here cause the food is salty and they don't offer free refills. So many really good Mexican restaurants to try in the area. I won't be back to this one. read more

As you can see from the photo of my email confirmation, our order was placed at 2:52 pm for a 5:30 pickup. We expected there to potentially be a delay with our order due to it being Cinco de Mayo, but as of 8:48 (when this picture was taken), we still have not received our food nor have we been told what happened to our order. This was a prepaid pickup order which my husband has been waiting for for over 3 hours!! We will never order from this restaurant again and I would advice anyone else to do the same! We got our food about 15 minutes after this post. They were definitely not overly apologetic for the order taking 3.5 hours and handed the food to my husband with just a simple "I'm sorry for the delay". I must say, though, the food was all delicious. While I understand this order was placed on likely the busiest day of the year and during a pandemic, I would not expect my pre-paid order placed nearly 3 hours in advance to be completed 3.5 hours past the expected time. Tried this place for the first time last night. Place was clean and staff were very friendly. I love that they make guacamole right at your table...entertaining and very fresh! When the food came out it looked like a 5 star chef had plated it! Very impressive! The food was on point. My friend that ate with me said that the tacos are the best he's ever had and he travels the country for work so this statement alone was impressive. Sat down and waited 20 minutes with no waiter. Had to ask the bus boy to bring one over. Finally order drinks and waited another 20-25 minutes before getting them. Guess what, the order was wrong and they had to go back and remake the margaritas. No water ever brought to the table. Food took a very long time and when it finally came out, it was obvious that it had been sitting because my chimichanga was very cold. Obviously had been sitting out over 15 minutes. Service was fast but then again there was only like one other person. I do like waiters being attentive but I do not like three to four of them standing in the back watching you and waiting.
