I was visiting Tarrytown for an art show and had breakfast one morning at Bella's Restaurant. It was a sweet little spot with a good sized menu and something for everyone. I had the eggs benedict and my friend ordered over-hard eggs with hash and toast. We split some mixed fruit which was super fresh. The hash could've been crispier but that's a preference of mine! I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Bella's Breakfast in Tarrytown was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others. First off, the food was a complete disaster for my friend. She found a HAIR in her breakfast--something that should never happen in any restaurant that claims to care about hygiene. When we pointed this out to the manager on duty, the situation somehow got even worse. Instead of being apologetic, professional, or even remotely polite, the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive. No acknowledgment of how unacceptable the situation was. No sincere apology. Nothing. In fact, they tried to argue with us and only offered to refund the hashbrowns--as if the entire breakfast wasn't ruined the moment we found hair in the food. Absolutely insulting. For the record, my own breakfast was fine, but that doesn't excuse the way this establishment handled the situation. Mistakes happen, but the way staff (especially management) respond says everything about a restaurant's values. And let me be clear: the manager that day showed zero respect for customers and zero understanding of basic hospitality. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Dirty floors, foul smell, and an overall state that made me question whether cleanliness is even a priority here. If the bathrooms are in that condition, I shudder to think about what the kitchen looks like behind the scenes. Between the unsanitary conditions, hair in the food, and the shockingly rude behavior of the manager, I can say with confidence that I will never return to Bella's Breakfast--and I strongly recommend that others steer clear as well. If this is how they treat customers and maintain their restaurant, it's not just disappointing, it's unacceptable. On top of that, I am a YouTube food influencer, and I regularly share video reviews of restaurants with my audience. I will absolutely be posting a detailed video about this awful service, the disgusting hygiene, and the complete disrespect shown to customers. People deserve to know exactly what kind of experience they might be walking into here. But, I got a great parking spot near Bella's restaurant and I'm always looking for something new! It was early enough so that it wasn't terribly busy and I was seated quickly. Love the vibe in there...super clean with an old school diner feel...and the 80's tunes didn't disappoint. The menu is extensive and they serve breakfast ALL DAY. Yeah-I was eyeballing the nutella -laden yummies and other carb/sugar/breakfast-ey loaded situations, but I opted for dinner fare. Billy...(not sure if he is the owner?) is super friendly and keeps things moving. I started with a great bowl of matzoh ball soup...which really hit the spot on this chilly evening. I was quite hungry (ok-hangry!) so when I spied the chicken kebab platter served with rice, side salad, pita and mixed vegetables...I was in! Everything was cooked perfectly: chicken super flavorful and moist...none of that dried up chicken souvlaki that sadly happens sometimes (at other places). Even the pita was just the right temperature and had a slight char from the grill. There was even a surprise dolma with the salad. Oh-the feta was fresh and delicious. I had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and hash browns, while my companion had a classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich--both were spot on. We strolled in on a late Saturday morning and got a two seater right away. Hubby had the eggs Nova Scotia and I had the eggs over challah with prosciutto/gruyere/hollandaise. Wed Jan 1st. Rude server. (Blond woman) Treated us like bad kids lol. We were asked to sit with a couple and we said ok no problem. She was annoyed because we didn't know the menu well? Was our first time. Unfortunately if she wasn't so rude I would had sent back the steak and eggs. ($25) I asked for medium steak. It was like cutting on cardboard and had no flavor. I had to add lots of salt and pepper and still was no bueno. My friend ordered an omelette ($14) We had to eat fast to make it to the airport. The cappuccino ($6) was bad; not hot enough and tasted like pure cream. I did changed it for a regular coffee ($4) We were rushed out to sit the next group and didn't realized they charged me for the cappuccino. $2 will not break the bank. It was an unpleasant experience $48 plus tip was not with it. Had to leave only a 15% tip. They need to do better in the food quality and service read more

Originally we planned on eating breakfast at the hotel but at the last minute we decided to try Bella's. We were happy we did. Small, updated and clean spot with breakfast/lunch items. We waited about 15 mins for 6 peeps at 8am on a Sunday so wasn't too bad. There was a mix of items ordered but I enjoyed mine the best. HUEVOS RANCHEROS WRAP - Jalapeños, Tomatoes, Onions & Cheddar. But first, you should know that we've traveled all over Europe and the US for many years on a very generous budget. So I'll start with the coffee: it's the first time anywhere in the world that the coffee was as good as our French press at home. We barely waited a minute before our server arrived with it after which we had hash and eggs over easy with toast that was really great. I came into town for a wedding and wanted to squeeze in a little sightseeing as well. Came to downtown Terry Town to see the local restaurants and saw that this place was on the map. I had to wait for a few while they cleared a table for three people. This is a cozy place with a vibe of happiness and kindness. It's not made for any sort of wheelchair or scooter as it was built years ago and does not have to be ADA-compliant. There were options for someone that has gluten allergies but no pancakes or waffles were available. If you have a nut allergy be very mindful as they serve both peanut butter as well as Nutella. I recently fell in love with Bella's after having their omelet. I got a bacon and cheese omelet with hashbrowns on the side and it was exceptional. This was literally the best omelet I've ever had and was really needed since my friend and I were really hungry. We also got a nutella waffle but the omelet was really the star of the show. Funny enough one of my friends who went to Bella's for the first time recently also had their omelet with bacon and cheese and they agree that it is one of the best they've had. Bella's is a nice diner with pretty good service and they can get busy at times. It's conveniently right next to basically on main street and there are parking lots nearby. I haven't had a lot of their lunch and dinner options but I have ordered it out some and it's pretty tasty as well. Bella's is a great casual spot to be with family or friends. read more

Bella's is a cute diner newly remodeled during the Pandemic. They provide all the basic breakfast dishes you may be craving when thinking of a diner. The baked goods counter is petite. Here I'm giving a score strictly on cleanliness, streamlined delivery options via the Internet and execution of the Onion ring. I utilized Uber eats and there is enough driver around town that my order was delivered still hot and not yet soggy! Surprised to see a red onion on the inside which was different yet I enjoyed it. The rings were battered , not broken, not overly greasy and the onions are "steak cut" fat rings and so appreciated . On a scale of 0-5 I give this particular onion ring a 4.5 giving wiggle room for the packing process because this isn't a food that should be packed. They served with chipotle Mayo- maybe not enough chipotle for my tastes and could have used a tiny bit of salt in the batter. The pancakes, muffins French toast are great here. I didn't order anything with bacon but I'll be sure to follow up on another visit. It's solid well prepared diner food. They follow all pandemic precautions and if your around town I'd say definitely go and enjoy. read more

The brunch menu option is so poor over here that they have to change it because they are in a great location and the food is very good. So order the Bella Combination Omelets with french fried: is a omelets that have ham, feta, Swiss, American, tomato, Onion and greed peppers. My friend had the Western Omelets with home made potato: is a classic diner-style overstuffed package brimming with bell peppers, ham, and cheese. He say perfect for a light breakfast. Aug 2021, i hated to giving Bella's Restaurant 2 Stars, however after getting my "Egg on a roll with bacon" I ended up throwing the beacon out in the garbage. This bacon looked cheap and tasted horrible. I have ordered this sandwich in the past and the bacon tasted and looked like real bacon. This is the last time I order this from Bella's.
