Smoked old fashion

Decided to celebrate our anniversary here as we wanted to stay close to home and not drive across town. For the tasting room, you can do day of reservations by texting the number on their website. We made a reservation, but because it was during the weekday, we definitely didn't need one as there was plenty of tables available. It did take a bit for our server to greet us and bring us water but our server was also the only bartender on that night, so she was trying to manage all of the beverages for the restaurant on top of the individuals who were seated in the bar area. My husband opted for the smoked old-fashioned with buffalo trace and I tried their seasonal offering of the pecan pie, which was a bourbon based drink. Both were excellent, although I was disappointed because of the alcohol content of the pecan pie you're limited to two. For dinner, I order the house pasta and I will say the sauce was exceptional! That short rib and beef tenderloin mixed into the rich sauce was absolutely fantastic with the pasta. My husband got the fillet and really enjoyed it. If you do order the fillet keep in mind it does take a minimum of 30 minutes to cook, and because the restaurant tends to operates as a tapas restaurant, others food may come out before your fillet does.

This is a cozy little bar with an English pub feel. Our server, Alex, was fantastic. He was very helpful in choosing both our drinks and our food. He was well informed and fun. We decided to go with the seasonal drinks. Both drinks were really good, so hurry up and get there before the end of the year so you can try them. The food was very rich and felt like a real indulgence. My husband wanted me to tell all of you to just eat the Wellington like it is a bao bun and take a big bite of the entire thing. I will definitely be goin back.

This restaurant vis beyond amazing. We have been going for 7+ years, and it is by far the best restaurant in all of Central FL! Start off at with "text ahead seating". We drive over an hour each way from Poinciana, FL and it is so worth it! We go here as often as we can and recommend it to everyone we know. You will never get a better meal, even counting many of the more expensive restaurants. Note to Yelp: I was not able to also select "service" as great

Duck fat fries!

Without doubt the best food we had while on a recent visit to Orlando. Friends recommended we try this and so glad we did. The place is on the first floor of a rather unassuming building and when you first enter, it's pretty dark inside but persevere. We texted ahead to save a spot as we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to get in. Staff is great, attentive and friendly in a not over bearing way. In hindsight, I'm sorry I didn't try the cocktails as I see those get very high marks but I can speak to the food which is outstanding. This is Tapas style, meaning small plates and they bring it out as available, my favorite style of eating because you get to sample so many different dishes. We ordered the Duck Fat Fries, again highly recommended, and they were very good. We also had the Brussels Sprouts (amazing and possibly the best of the dishes we tried). These are served with Blue cheese which I don't normally like but these were so good, I am having to re-consider!) Also the mushroom Roulade which has been on the menu for over 20 years (again amazing, has Truffle salt and if you aren't a truffle fan don't be put off, great flavor), the Muffaletta (really good), Shrimp and Grits (wow! My husband said after we should have gotten a full platter of that because it was delicious!) and fried Okra, which in comparison to the other dishes was not as exciting. Plenty of good dishes to choose from though! Don't miss this place!

We visited the tasting room on a Thursday night around 6pm. We were seated immediately and given menus. Our menus were different which was interesting. We decided to get 4 plates and split them. Here's how they were: The first was a pasta I can't fully recall, but it had a short rib ragu with ricotta in it. Neither of us were huge ricotta fans, but I can say for sure that this was the highlight of the night. It was perfectly seasoned and the meat sauce was delicious. The next was the mushroom roulades. These are similar to something we'd had at the chef's table, and we were so excited to have them again! They were definitely tasty. Next came a gnocchi with pork belly and romesco. This dish fell a little flat for us, I think the romesco was a little sweet for our taste. The pork belly on top had nice caramelization on it, but it needed seasoning and felt a little dry on its own. Lastly, we got the beef wellingtons. These fell short by a bit. Personally, I hadn't tried a short rib Wellington before, and I wasn't a fan of how the textures worked in comparison to how a filet works. The pastries were well cooked, but my big issue was that the glaze on it was so burned. It tasted bitter and the taste spread to everything else. Overall, I think we were a little disappointed with our food. Our service was incredible, but it was a shame that it seemed like our meal went steadily downhill. I'd likely still go back, but our experience at the chef's table was significantly better, and that was a surprise to me.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Not crowded on the Sunday early evening and was seated immediately. The duck fat fries were incredibly delicious. Drinks were good, dessert was good, main entry (mahi) was fresh and full of flavors. Overall the seasoning seems to be on the heavier side. I would go back and try other items on the menu.

-Beef Wellington -Eggs Benedict - Breakfast Mac and Cheese - mimosas (with assorted juices) Delicious food! Only reason one star is taken off was due to pricing and the fact that I found plastic baked into my meal /: (mistakes happen so I wasn't upset). Highly recommend for a bunch with the girlfriends and if mimosas are ordered, make sure to request the "pear nectar" (not on the menu).

The food and drinks here are so good! The menu changes weekly I believe, so if you see something you want- try it before it's gone! There are a few items that always stay, but most things rotate. We've eaten at the chef's table but honestly this has basically the same food and more. One of our fav restaurants was Feather & Quill and the chef from there just started to work here again so it's even better. Highly recommend.

Fantastic local spot in Winter Garden for dinner. You can make reservations for the Chef's Table or text the main phone number your party details for the same day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can help you decide which dishes are Dan favorites or current specials. The ambiance are on the darker side so if you can't see well at low light you may need to ask to be seated under the lights. Otherwise the bar is front and center once you enter and there plenty of booth, low tables or high tops to choose from. What's you order the food comes out pretty quick. We ordered the five cheese plate to share which had interesting and yummy pairings with each cheese. We also ordered the delicious and flavorful steak skewers in a chimichurri sauce, the half order of shrimp and grits which were cooked perfectly, and the tempura chicken with rice noodles which were tangy and super tender. We didn't have room for the desserts but we're very pleased with our service and delicious meal. Ask for Jojo she was amazing.

There is an elevator that will take you to the second floor and the entrance to Pilars Martini & Loft is right in front of you when you exit. There are also restrooms available and medium sized air-conditioned lobby where you can take calls if Pilars has live music inside. Pilars is an upscale lounge and music club. When we arrived, the live entertainment was setting up for later that evening. It was actually nice having the calm contrast to what was happening in the streets currently. Food here seems fairly high-end; it's Market-to-table so everything is a bit pricy. Appetizers start at $14, one of their most expensive appetizers is Seared Foie Gras ($26). If you're not a big spender, they do have Chicken Wings or BBQ Short Rib Sliders for $14, and a Market Burger for $16. If you're looking for something a little more special, they have Filet Mignon ($86), Lamb Shank ($42), Braised Beef Short Ribs ($46), and Iberico Pork ($76). Most of their specialty drinks will run you between $12-$14. Beers are between $6-$9 and non-alcoholic drinks anywhere between $2.50-$8. We didn't stay too long because we were bopping around checking out different places during the festival, but if you are looking for a great place to take a date or have a nice evening out with friends, listening to great live music and Jazz this is a premier spot in the Winter Garden area.

Not many places in Florida have this, so we usually try to eat up there when it isn't too hot. Second of all, everything I have ever ordered here has been delicious. I ordered mahi tacos with cilantro sauce on corn tortillas on this visit. I love that the tacos come with chips because I am such a salsa lover and this place has a salsa bar! No issues with my sensitive stomach which some time has difficulties with texmex. The rooftop has great sunset views and is good for groups if you can find a spot. We tend to order the same things. I get a cocktail off the menu and tacos. My hushes a beer and a burrito. His burrito came out incorrectly two visits in a row so he has switched to tacos and has not had that issue since. Be aware. My only consistent complaint now is that I really with you could order your drinks at the same time and at the same touchpoint as ordering food. Having to wait in a line to order food and then wait again at the bar to get a bartenders attention to then wait again for a drink is a hassle and a bit annoying. The bartenders are also quite slow here we have noticed (both upstairs and down). We have waited for drinks longer than food on more than one occasion. So this leaves me alone holding our table while my husband waits for drinks to be made and often food gets delivered while that happening and starts to cool. Annoying right? But otherwise food is good. Drinks are interesting. Great rooftop. It's a decent and easy spot to grab a quick easy dinner I just wish they fix that issue.
