Hands down worst experience in winter garden so far. I really wanted to like this place too and we came when I was super hungry. We sat outside, and barely saw our server. Just as we were about to call it to walk out, another server stepped over to help us. We ordered the hangry bison burger and the fries. Unfortunately, the burger was really underdone and under seasoned. The green olives that came with it gave it a very unpleasant flavor. The fries looked delicious but were actually underdone and some were hard in that raw potato kind of way. To make matters worse, the bus girl cleaning the bar miscalculated how she was wiping the counter and the wind, and what she was wiping off went directly on my shirt. Grabbed a beer while we waited. The bartender was super friendly. After 10 minutes we got our seat outdoors. Our server was really nice and had a great energy. She gave us the run down in how to build our burgers. After we put in our order a couple seats opened at the outside bar and we asked if we could move because it was hot and the bar seats were under fans. They said no problem! Our server was very accommodating. The bartender and bar back were friendly and chatted with us even though they were busy. They really made us feel welcomed. Service was quick given how busy they were. Our food came and first thing I noticed was the rather large burger was accompanied by some seasoned steak fries. I was part of a large group that came for a lunch. A combination of adults and children. My order was the beet salad which was tasty and generous and it's serving of beets, mushroom, and pepper. Unfortunately there was a delay for the children's food to arrive which was at least mitigated by the many activities the children could do at the table. But kids waiting for food means that they want to be eating some from the adult plates. Not a problem, but then they don't finish their meal. I had to go to my favorite burger restaurant after my spill last week. It was perfect to go on a Sunday evening as there was no crowd. I was seated immediately when I arrived. My server suggested the smoked old fashioned (17 dollars) to cure my blues. It sure did with the light smoked flavor, yet strong enough to let my happy and relaxed. Since I am trying to avoid beef, I took the dependable sockeye salmon burger with salad (16 dollars). The salmon had the great flavor and was plentiful. It tasted fresh and healthy. The tomato, lettuce, and onion were fresh as well and the mustard complimented the burger nicely. My salad was wonderful and the vinaigrette was such a nice addition. I couldn't leave without dessert, and the ole reliable creme brulee (10 dollars) had a creamy custard with a great shell. It was so enjoyable. The service was great, and while the atmosphere was a bit quieter, I still didn't feel lonely at all. I wish I was able to go to the fountain area afterwards, but the rain and storm had be back to the free garage immediately. The Hangry Bison is still my favorite place for burgers. Overall though, the food was just okay and it was pretty pricey. This is one of the fuel locations I haven't eaten at in the Wintergarden area. I decided to get the bourbon hanger for my drink. It is bourbon, sangria, some type of juice, peach simple syrup on ice in a wine glass for lunch. I decided to get the wings with a barbecue sauce to dip. I haven't eaten here yet, but I've heard amazing things about all their cocktails, their beers, and their burgers hopefully their wings are also winners. I didn't get my bartender's name, but she is super nice and everyone at the bar are very friendly and very helpful. I have to start off my review by saying that anywhere that offers sweet potato fries already has a special place in my heart. I have to know that certain items to make this a more pricey burger than your regular although the quality is certainly there, and I can say that no one in the party regretted what they got. Although I'm not vegetarian I always like to explore different options and a friend had recommended that the Impossible burger was great. I can single-handedly say that they were telling the truth because the burger patty that I got was HUGE! And worked perfectly with my choice of bun. We were in a large group and our server was very patient and attended to everyone very well. I do have to knock off one star due to a couple of people's orders being slightly incorrect (albeit this was drinks, so is more a bar review than kitchen), they were quickly changed and the problem was solved; I think that's worth noting because it happened twice. The fries be they sweet potato or regular were all excellent, the sweet potato fries where crispy but also soft to give a perfect taste. The baskets they are served in give a nice aesthetic. The atmosphere and ambiance in the restaurant it's very nice, and you were just as likely to see a family dining together, a first date, or a group of friends having a couple of drinks and a burger. Needless to say, the area is lovely and we always enjoy visiting Downtown Winter Garden. We have a sweet spot for magnets in this household, so you can expect our enthusiasm when we were given one on exiting. We were lucky enough to find parking directly in front of the restaurant on a hot afternoon last July. It was a short walk into the restaurant, but we immediately had to u-turn and go back outside because it was so crowded. The host even asked for our reservation confirmation number.. Who gets a reservation confirmation number over the phone? Wouldn't they take a name? They called inside and out seating while also the large garage doors overlook the bar. Most seats are good but there is a communal table in the back, so you may be sat with other folks. Today the floors were very slippery which seems like a liability for folks who are not steady on their feet. We ordered two burgers, which were the bison burger and the short rib. They Were great and I paired my bison burger with a corn on the cob however, my guest ordered a well done cook on the patty and came to us slightly overcooked as there were some charred pieces that really offset the flavor. Love this place al thought I never visited this winter garden location. My to go has been winter park. Inside had varies tables and there is outside seating plus outside bar seating where I and my cousin ate. I ordered the herbivore which was mushroom with grilled red peppers which was very juicy and good but I was carving meat. So my greedy self ordered the bison burger in the build my own version. It was fantastic like always. I requested sweet potato fries no salt and enjoyed every bite of it . So much so there's no pictures. The service was great as well. As always perfect food quality.
