9/4/2026 - I had a reservation for me and my friend who was in from out of town at 6pm. I've seen this place before when I visited Wintergarden, but have never been to the restaurant itself. So this was our first time. We were seated right away in a high top by the main dining room. Our server was fantastic. He was friendly and gave us some amazing recommendations. We both ordered the bison burger and a drink. I would definitely order this again. It was absolutely delicious. We ordered both of them with a side of fries. The drinks are whiskey forward. They have some great combinations. For dessert, we ordered their donuts which were delicious. The restaurant was very lively. They have a nice bar that's inside outside. This is downtown Winter Garden with a nice patio area with an outdoor bar. Lots of burger options, including build your own. They also have salads and appetizers. We got pretzel bites that were really good. I had a build my own turkey burger with fries. You mark the menu with a dry erase marker so that's unique. The burger was really good. The fries were ok. Hands down worst experience in winter garden so far. I really wanted to like this place too and we came when I was super hungry. We sat outside, and barely saw our server. Just as we were about to call it to walk out, another server stepped over to help us. We ordered the hangry bison burger and the fries. Unfortunately, the burger was really underdone and under seasoned. The green olives that came with it gave it a very unpleasant flavor. The fries looked delicious but were actually underdone and some were hard in that raw potato kind of way. To make matters worse, the bus girl cleaning the bar miscalculated how she was wiping the counter and the wind, and what she was wiping off went directly on my shirt. I was part of a large group that came for a lunch. A combination of adults and children. My order was the beet salad which was tasty and generous and it's serving of beets, mushroom, and pepper. Unfortunately there was a delay for the children's food to arrive which was at least mitigated by the many activities the children could do at the table. But kids waiting for food means that they want to be eating some from the adult plates. Not a problem, but then they don't finish their meal. I had to go to my favorite burger restaurant after my spill last week. It was perfect to go on a Sunday evening as there was no crowd. I was seated immediately when I arrived. My server suggested the smoked old fashioned (17 dollars) to cure my blues. It sure did with the light smoked flavor, yet strong enough to let my happy and relaxed. Since I am trying to avoid beef, I took the dependable sockeye salmon burger with salad (16 dollars). The salmon had the great flavor and was plentiful. It tasted fresh and healthy. The tomato, lettuce, and onion were fresh as well and the mustard complimented the burger nicely. My salad was wonderful and the vinaigrette was such a nice addition. I couldn't leave without dessert, and the ole reliable creme brulee (10 dollars) had a creamy custard with a great shell. It was so enjoyable. The service was great, and while the atmosphere was a bit quieter, I still didn't feel lonely at all. I wish I was able to go to the fountain area afterwards, but the rain and storm had be back to the free garage immediately. The Hangry Bison is still my favorite place for burgers. The atmosphere was cool here and the decor inside was neat too. It's cool that you mark down what you want on your menu with a marker and hand that in to order. Overall though, the food was just okay and it was pretty pricey. My wife's order was actually incorrect despite her marking everything down on her menu... they gave her the bison burger she ordered but with no bun! My buffalo chicken sandwich was okay, but nothing to write home about. Our waiter also didn't return to refill water often so we were pretty thirsty throughout the meal. My husband and I got done with a long paddle day and all we could think of was burgers! As we left Orlando I found The Hangry Bison and it was meant to be because we got a parking spot right in front of the restaurant at 1pm on a Saturday. The place was packed but we were greeted right when we walked in. The restaurant had a real open feel with high ceilings. It was bustling! They told us it would be about 30 minutes. Grabbed a beer while we waited. The bartender was super friendly. After 10 minutes we got our seat outdoors. Our server was really nice and had a great energy. She gave us the run down in how to build our burgers. After we put in our order a couple seats opened at the outside bar and we asked if we could move because it was hot and the bar seats were under fans. They said no problem! Our server was very accommodating. The bartender and bar back were friendly and chatted with us even though they were busy. They really made us feel welcomed. Service was quick given how busy they were. Our food came and first thing I noticed was the rather large burger was accompanied by some seasoned steak fries. I popped a fry in my mouth and it was delicious! Probably the best steak fries I've ever had!!! Took a bite of my burger and it was so juicy! Cooked to perfection! We were seated right away in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress, Reanna, was absolutely wonderful, so sweet and patient. She has a great sense of humor. Since it was our first time, she took the time to explain the menu and guide us through the ordering process. This is one of the fuel locations I haven't eaten at in the Wintergarden area. I decided to get the bourbon hanger for my drink. It is bourbon, sangria, some type of juice, peach simple syrup on ice in a wine glass for lunch. I decided to get the wings with a barbecue sauce to dip. I haven't eaten here yet, but I've heard amazing things about all their cocktails, their beers, and their burgers hopefully their wings are also winners. I didn't get my bartender's name, but she is super nice and everyone at the bar are very friendly and very helpful. She did ask me if I had any food allergies I told her I have an egg and a dairy allergy and I was asking about her wings and she said the wing sauce does not have an egg or dairy allergy. My wings finally arrived and they are popping hot and I can't wait to dig in. First date night in our new neighborhood. We recently lived from Atlanta to Orlando and this is a 4 min drive from our new home. While unpacking we wanted a date night to decompress and stopped here at the recommendation of our realtor. Great little spot. Server (Brooke, hi name twin) could not have been nicer or faster. I love sweet potato fries but mine were more on the colder side and more small pieces under the few bigger pieces on top. But with it being close to closing time I just dealt with it. I have to start off my review by saying that anywhere that offers sweet potato fries already has a special place in my heart. With that being said let's continue this review, as someone who absolutely loves burgers, I knew that I would be happy at the Hangry Bison. The only thing that I love more than burgers is the chance to customize my burger, and that is where the beauty of this establishment comes in. I have to know that certain items to make this a more pricey burger than your regular although the quality is certainly there, and I can say that no one in the party regretted what they got. Although I'm not vegetarian I always like to explore different options and a friend had recommended that the Impossible burger was great. I can single-handedly say that they were telling the truth because the burger patty that I got was HUGE! And worked perfectly with my choice of bun. We were in a large group and our server was very patient and attended to everyone very well. I do have to knock off one star due to a couple of people's orders being slightly incorrect (albeit this was drinks, so is more a bar review than kitchen), they were quickly changed and the problem was solved; I think that's worth noting because it happened twice. The fries be they sweet potato or regular were all excellent, the sweet potato fries where crispy but also soft to give a perfect taste. The baskets they are served in give a nice aesthetic. The atmosphere and ambiance in the restaurant it's very nice, and you were just as likely to see a family dining together, a first date, or a group of friends having a couple of drinks and a burger. Needless to say, the area is lovely and we always enjoy visiting Downtown Winter Garden. We have a sweet spot for magnets in this household, so you can expect our enthusiasm when we were given one on exiting. We were lucky enough to find parking directly in front of the restaurant on a hot afternoon last July. It was a short walk into the restaurant, but we immediately had to u-turn and go back outside because it was so crowded. My father in law made a reservation over the phone for my birthday, but somehow the restaurant had absolutely no clue what we were talking about. The host even asked for our reservation confirmation number.. Who gets a reservation confirmation number over the phone? Wouldn't they take a name? It was hot as you-know-what outside and also inside the place as well. I understand wanting to have fresh air and have the bar open, but when it's 90+ degrees out with 100 percent humidity, it makes for a sticky situation. Fun place, great atmosphere in vibrant down town area. All of my 3 visits will be considered. To start, if you don't get here at a decent time, you will be waiting for a seat. They called inside and out seating while also the large garage doors overlook the bar. Most seats are good but there is a communal table in the back, so you may be sat with other folks. Today the floors were very slippery which seems like a liability for folks who are not steady on their feet. We ordered two burgers, which were the bison burger and the short rib. They Were great and I paired my bison burger with a corn on the cob however, my guest ordered a well done cook on the patty and came to us slightly overcooked as there were some charred pieces that really offset the flavor. Really like pork rinds) the hangover was great, pork rinds covered in beer cheese and jalapenos? Sign me the hell up. That was fantastic and I could hear my arteries struggling with every bite. The wait was 45 minutes but they sent me a text & I was able to walk around winter garden. While tasty, it wasn't anything special and a lot of the ingredients were falling off of the crust, likely due to how hot it was. For our entree, we ordered the Trashley and signature Hangry Bison burgers. Personally, the bison burger wasn't my favorite. It was tasty but probably just wasn't for me. The Trashley, however, was superb -- absolutely satisfied my craving for a burger! I also got a side of sweet potato fries and looooved them. Love this place al thought I never visited this winter garden location. My to go has been winter park. Inside had varies tables and there is outside seating plus outside bar seating where I and my cousin ate. I ordered the herbivore which was mushroom with grilled red peppers which was very juicy and good but I was carving meat. So my greedy self ordered the bison burger in the build my own version. It was fantastic like always. I requested sweet potato fries no salt and enjoyed every bite of it . So much so there's no pictures. The service was great as well. As always perfect food quality.
