Fried Green Tomatoes - boursin cheese, pickled fresnos, sorghum
    Matt L.

Stopped by one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. I tend to get the pork chop most times I go, it's the best pork chop you can get, generous size, cooked to perfection with the best flavor. The cocktails were also a nice pairing with food and dessert. The next level bread pudding says it all in its name. It's worth the calories to treat yourself to an amazing sweet treat. I stop here everytime I pass bye for their great food and great service. It's has cozy atmosphere and a spot that is worth checking out.

Great food and drinks. Service a bit slow. Wish we had more time to wait for the dessert we wanted but had to go.

We visited Root and Branch for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were delicious! For dinner, we both went with chef's recommendations- the braised short beef ravioli and the chef's steak and cheese, which was an elevated and amazing grilled cheesesteak. For dessert, we shared a flourless chocolate torte. We had a drink from their Christmas in July drink menu- Winter Wonderland, which was excellent. The service was also great. Highly recommended this place for a nicer dinner out.

Upon our arrival at the restaurant at 6 p.m., we were the first patrons to enter. We ordered our meals: steak, salmon, and ravioli, which appeared to take some time to prepare. Of the three meals, the steak was undoubtedly the most exceptional, and I would rate it as the finest I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection, and the cut was just right. The salmon was satisfactory, but I am not a fan regardless of the cooking method. The meat-filled ravioli was flavorful, but it was undercooked and dry. I took it home and steamed it again; it was better reheated. We shared bread pudding for dessert, which was decadent. Our total for three meals, a glass of Pinot Noir, and one dessert was approximately $130, excluding a tip a. I would certainly return to order the steak and bread pudding or perhaps the Wagyu hamburger, which was on the menu.

Brussel sprouts and Fried Green Tomatoes! What a wine list too, they know the food and wine line up well! Service was top notch and constant checking with balance of personal time. Quiet music playing and light conversations in the open platform with bar.

Truth be told I've lived in Clermont for many years and although I've heard of the Root & Branch I have not made my way to pay a visit and I'm sorry I waited so long. Had the pleasure of dining in on a quiet Sunday evening and was impressed with the decore immediately walking in. We were quickly greeted, sat, and ordered drinks and apps. Just a great experience overall. Food is flavorful. I now understand why the Fried Green Tomatoes are award winning- the app was phenomenal. Another hidden gem in our lovely town. I'll be back!!

Fried Green Tomatoes with Boursin! Delicious!

Fantastic restaurant. Top notch chef. Started off with the Fashion Nut, a deliciously doctored Old Fashioned. Wife had the Spa Cocktail. Next, on to the Fried Brussels Sprouts, and Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers. (whoa! recommend). I enjoyed the Ode to Wilber, a tender tasty thick cut pork chop. My wife loved the rib eye; a 3 course meal with the Bread Pudding. We have never had a bad meal here; lunch or dinner. Food is always fresh and cooked to your liking. The staff here are wonderful. Sara was our server. She was fun. Loved how relaxed she was with us and she had a nice banter with our group during the evening. We had early reservations so it wasn't busy early on a Saturday. I recommend reservations as it can get real busy at times. We will return. Again and again.

Root and branch bistro and bar is located in a shopping plaza type set up near gators dockside, and across the street from Home Depot off of SR 50. We made a reservation, but when we arrived, it was clear that we did not need to as there was ample seating. The atmosphere was definitely not what we were anticipating as it felt more like a bar set up that was converted into a restaurant. While they had linens on the table, the linens were incredibly wrinkled and not pressed which was a bit of a shock to us given some of the entree pricing. My husband got the Ode to Wilber pork chop. He did not like the creamed corn at all and did let the server know and the server did offer to bring him a secondary side, but he declined. The greens were OK. They had a little heat on the back end of it. The pork chop he really enjoyed and said it had a perfect cook on it. ($36) I opted for the barbecue glaze salmon. I love that the salmon had a nice crispy bottom and some crisp on the top. I do wish there would've been more of the barbecue gains as it was delicious on the pieces of the salmon that had it. The broccoli rabe was good and I enjoyed the purée that was underneath it although I'm not sure what it was. ($27) Overall, it's a casual dining location with decent food.

I would leave 10 stars if I could. We hosted a Rehersal dinner here for 62 people. Chef David and his team made this a truly spectacular memorable evening. From the initial planning (Chef David made it seamless) to service the night of it was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and flawless. I honestly could not have asked for anything more. It was better than I hoped for. If you are going to host an event- you found your place. Thank you so much Chef David and team

We came here for my husband's birthday. Although the food had great flavor, portions were amazing and presentation was excellent. The wait between entrées was too long this is my reason for three stars. We came on a weekday evening and it was fairly slow with a nice ambience and feel to the restaurant. Our server was helpful and assured us that the food entrées courses would be out shortly. I would believe to say we had to wait at least 25 to 30 minutes between each entrée served. We had the three course dinner which made our visit here a little over two hours. The menu options are great, and the three core special was an amazing value which led us to visit here. It was a nice break from chain restaurants, and was happy we made our celebration visit here.

We tried the spicy ceviche with shrimp and tostados as an appetizer, and that's was absolutely delicious. Spicy but not uncomfortably; it was perfectly balanced. The menu had some interesting sandwich and burger options at pretty decent price points. My husband ordered a burger and enjoyed it. Our waitress mentioned it was supposed to be melted, but since I'm not one to play roulette with sending food back, I just went ahead and ate it. The bar is well stocked and the bartender was friendly about the specials on offer, and encouraged me to try one. I ended up trying the London Fog seasonal cocktail, which was Gin based, and I enjoyed it greatly. Once at a table, we were promptly greeted by our server and we put in an order for the sweet potato poutine, and while fantastic, my partner and I both commented that we wished there was more of a layering effort for the poutine in order to have the toppings more spread out instead of just on top. I got the espresso bourbon glazed filet, from the seasonal menu, my partner got the lobster grilled cheese with a side of the 6 cheese Mac and cheese, because that was the other item they really wanted to try, so it was a fantastic option to have as part of the premium sides. my filet was fantastic, I was super pleased with the temperature of my steak, as well as the flavors present, and the sides were cooked to perfection. My partner's lobster grilled cheese was great as well, it was disappearing so quickly I had to remind them to let me have a bite (they had stolen a bite of my filet as well... fair's fair, right?). I can also see why the 6 cheese Mac and cheese continues to be a crowd favorite, as the many cheeses used are well balanced to pack a lot of flavor. We visited on a fairly cold day, so though the outside had some heaters on, no one appeared to be sitting out there until the entire dining room was full, and quite a few came inside to stand at the bar and "warm up" for a few minutes, which was understandable. Service was top notch, food was delicious, and ambiance was exactly what I wanted out of a good gastropub. Can't wait to return

The entrance is open and bright, and the ambience is modern and chic. As we were to be seated, there was wall, art made out of corks which caught my eye. At first glance, we thought the wall taps were for beer, but in fact - duh - they are wine taps. Hence the name 60 vines... We were very pleasantly surprised. I am a white wine lover, and they had ample selection. They have a great selection of reds as well. I will say my favorite was the Albariño, followed by the four white blend... we had the zucchini chips which were light flaky and had the right amount of spice and sweet. Couldn't stop eating them. I enjoyed the egg white frittata which was topped with mushrooms and goat cheese. They could've gone a little heavier on the goat cheese, but otherwise the dish was phenomenal. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. I can't remember what it was called, but the poached eggs were perfect on top of a crispy croissant with herb hashbrowns, that were outstanding. I think he may have licked the dish clean... I will say we could've stopped there and left very happy, but we decided to indulge a little in dessert and a dessert adult beverage. I must say these were slamdunks. The espresso martini was on point. The other chocolate drink which I can't recall its name either had like a dust of chocolate and ice on the rim. It had liquor 43 in it and was just stupid good. But the overall winning dish was the toffee pull apart bread that was listed as a brunch item and is undoubtedly the best dessert I think I have ever had. It's like a cinnamon roll and monkey bread had a baby - It's a crispy croissant with a gooey bottom and crispy top that was moderately sweet perfection.
