Great spot for lunch or dinner. The staff are great and the food is delicious! Seating for couples or a group as well. Menu has so many great options. The braised short rib crustini are so good to start with! You can't go wrong with any of the entrees check them out!

Found this gem on Yelp. Went early 4p. Just wanted a cocktail and some apps. We had the pear martini and Nut Fashion. We both liked them -but husband thought the nut fashion was a bit sweet for his liking. We shared the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. Very good and filling. So we didn't order the whiskey smash burger which sounded really good! We'll get that next fine!

Root & Branch Bistro Bar is a great addition to the Clermont culinary scene. It stands in a shopping plaza, so parking is not really an issue and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance and service here is definitely on point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food here is definitely a treat and gives a great twist on some culinary favorites. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend here.

*Hidden Gem Alert* So I'm not sure if this is hidden, but I did get that feel. We were in the area and looking for a place to get a bite and a drink and this popped up and let me tell you it was a home run.. It takes a little bit of looking to find it, but definitely worth the time and effort. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is a chill weekend place for a white lunch, or drink drinks, but could easily turn around as a nice date night or family dinner spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had two of their fall, classic beverages, and plans to come back to enjoy their drink menu. As for the food, very delicious, we had the peach salad, which I highly recommend as well as the fish tacos and the onion soup. Our bartender, Ambar, was an amazing host! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Greta place, should be 100% busier than it was for a Saturday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoy!

Amazing pairing dinner. Loved. Owners are super nice. Everything was delicious and decadent

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small restaurant and can be a little noisy, however; it's worth the trip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a small plate: crispy pork belly, omg, the best pork belly I've ever had the pleasure of eating. My main entree was steak frites cook medium rare. I was to full for dessert but they have bread pudding. Servers were very nice as well.

Great food and drinks. Service a bit slow. Wish we had more time to wait for the dessert we wanted but had to go.

We visited Root and Branch for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were delicious! For dinner, we both went with chef's recommendations- the braised short beef ravioli and the chef's steak and cheese, which was an elevated and amazing grilled cheesesteak. For dessert, we shared a flourless chocolate torte. We had a drink from their Christmas in July drink menu- Winter Wonderland, which was excellent. The service was also great. Highly recommended this place for a nicer dinner out.

Upon our arrival at the restaurant at 6 p.m., we were the first patrons to enter. We ordered our meals: steak, salmon, and ravioli, which appeared to take some time to prepare. Of the three meals, the steak was undoubtedly the most exceptional, and I would rate it as the finest I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection, and the cut was just right. The salmon was satisfactory, but I am not a fan regardless of the cooking method. The meat-filled ravioli was flavorful, but it was undercooked and dry. I took it home and steamed it again; it was better reheated. We shared bread pudding for dessert, which was decadent. Our total for three meals, a glass of Pinot Noir, and one dessert was approximately $130, excluding a tip a. I would certainly return to order the steak and bread pudding or perhaps the Wagyu hamburger, which was on the menu.

Brussel sprouts and Fried Green Tomatoes! What a wine list too, they know the food and wine line up well! Service was top notch and constant checking with balance of personal time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet music playing and light conversations in the open platform with bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Truth be told I've lived in Clermont for many years and although I've heard of the Root & Branch I have not made my way to pay a visit and I'm sorry I waited so long. Had the pleasure of dining in on a quiet Sunday evening and was impressed with the decore immediately walking in. We were quickly greeted, sat, and ordered drinks and apps. Just a great experience overall. Food is flavorful. I now understand why the Fried Green Tomatoes are award winning- the app was phenomenal. Another hidden gem in our lovely town. I'll be back!!

Fried Green Tomatoes with Boursin! Delicious!

The ambience in the restaurant is really nice; we were greeted promptly and chose seats at the bar. The bartender and an assistant helped in the evening, and they were attentive to keep drinks filled and food orders moving. During dinner, the chef actually delivered our food and followed up seeking feedback, which really impressed us. He was unobtrusive, friendly and genuine. The drink specials are great, so take a look at them to be sure you know what is available. Sangrias were in special the night we visited, and it was a great choice. We tried the spicy ceviche with shrimp and tostados as an appetizer, and that's was absolutely delicious. Spicy but not uncomfortably; it was perfectly balanced. Our main dishes were the Saltado, my husband got beef and I got the chicken. Both were so good! Plentiful portions over (unexpectedly!) fried, and all of it awesome. We really enjoyed our dinner!

It was very tasty. The chips were good. I definitely could've done with less chips as it felt like they were overtaking the plate. My husband got the Texas wings. Which had the Texas dry rub with a honey glaze over them. Kind of gave you a spicy and sweet take. He said they were very tasty. Well seasoned and well cooked. We started with the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I then ordered the Dirty Rice Entrée, and wow--what an explosion of flavors! It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

I know there are a few locations but we planned to stop at this location specifically during a last min birthday staycation (but not *on* my brthday) If you look online this routinly is on lists of date night and good group dining spots and there will inevitably be a ton of people in the comments complaining about it being "mid" or "basic" but that wasn't our experience at all. We had a great experience here. We initially booked for the first time of our staycation but called last min to push back a few days as I wasn't feeling very well. It was no issue at all and they changed our reservation without issue or complaints & wished me well. The space is really cool. MCM in design with a touch of California beach bungalow. We were seated in a back room with a view of the lake behind. It was a bit loud but most places are these days. I am deaf in one of my ears so one I told our server & she spoke up over the noise and it was a non-issue. Appreciated because that's not always the case. We ordered a glass of wine and the "Shirley After Dark" cocktail (I know it's a wine bar but I just felt like a cocktail) loved it. Would absolutely order it again. We ordered the house salad which was far from basic and delicious and fresh. Very light and decent size. My husband also aired the Cauliflower app which was massive. The hummus was delicious. I'm not a fan of cauliflower but he raved about it. We also split the Butchers Pizza and had them out the hot honey on the side. I can't do spice after destroying my stomach in college so they brought me a side of normal honey so I could hector full flavor profile within my dietary needs. We got to speaking with our server whose name I unfortunately can't remember (light blonde shoulder length hair if management reads this) & she was very knowledgeable about the wine selection. We're not white wine drinkers but the FL heat is a little too much for a glass of red most days so we're trying to get into it. She had 3 recommendations and brought me all three to taste. Unfortunatly I enjoyed was sold out by the time we ordered it (which at the height of tourist summer isn't beyond the realm of reasonability) We then ordered the affogato and olive oil cake. Both were delicious. It was my husband's first time trying an affogato and it has since become a favorite of his. It was mentioned in passing while chatting that we were in a last min staycation as it was my birthday week and we didn't plan anything in advance and made it clear it was not my birthday but she still comped my cocktail and the olive oil cake and wrote a lighthearted "sorry we were out of the wine" on our receipt. Which was a genuinely nice & unexpected gesture. The entire meal was quite affordable even before anything got comped compared with other options of the same caliber in the area. Portons are quite large as well. While I don't love communal tables typically, almost no one was seated at the same table and if they were it was quite far apart (see photos). I can see that being bothersome on a busy night but we were there on a summer night (busy enough to run out of a wine) so I can't imagine it being typically worse than that So I say again, I don't understand what people don't like about this place. We'll be back.
