I've been dying to try Huarike Peruvian Cuisine, the somewhat new restaurant in downtown Clermont ever since they opened, but life kept getting in the way. As a huge fan of Peruvian cuisine, I've eaten at many restaurants in California, New Jersey, and New York, so I was excited to see how this one compared. I stopped in for lunch on Monday with a friend and ordered the Lomo Saltado with fried eggs and sweet plantains (well worth the extra cost), along with their garlic rice. My verdict? It was hands down the best Lomo Saltado I've ever had. The rich, savory sauce, incredibly tender beef, and perfectly sweet plantains were absolutely amazing. I almost licked the plate clean! The portion was huge, and even though I should have taken some home, it was just too good to stop eating. The fried egg took it to another level, and the garlic rice may have been the best rice I've ever had. Trust me--when an Asian guy tells you the rice is incredible, you know it's good! For dessert, I ordered the Tres Leches Tiramisu with flaming rum, and I had to record it because the presentation was so impressive. I honestly couldn't believe how delicious it was. Every bite was pure heaven. I've been dreaming about that dessert for days! The service was just as memorable as the food. Our waitress, Julianna, was warm, professional, and made the entire experience special. Her dessert presentation was outstanding. The owner needs to give her a raise--and whatever you do, don't let her leave! Manager Diana also stopped by our table to check on us. She was so friendly and funny, and together they made us feel like family. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The decor is elegant and romantic, complete with a fireplace inside and a gorgeous outdoor patio that gave off serious Miami vibes. A+ all around. Unfortunately I was with a dude so there was absolutely no romantic vibe This place exceeded every expectation I had. Amazing food, incredible desserts, outstanding service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I can't wait to bring my whole family back. Thank you for being part of the Clermont community. I love Peruvian food and Huarike has been on my list since they opened end of last year. We finally made the trek out to Clermont to have lunch here on a Sunday. It was pretty busy during that time and you can tell this is a popular spot among locals in the area. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating, but we opted for inside since it was such a hot day and our son was with us. We ordered some yuca for my son to nibble on and we started off with some of their signature cocktails. My husband got their Origen classic Peruvian sour and I went with the Tropical Passion which is a passion fruit version of the classic. Both drinks were beautiful. I love the frothiness this cocktail gets from the egg white and it was very refreshing. I was craving ceviche and I was happy to see that they have a whole ceviche bar menu with different selections to choose from. They all sounded amazing, but I decided to go with the servers recommendation and got the mixed Aji Amarillo Ceviche which contains fish, shrimp, octopus, and calamari in aji amarillo tiger milk, with onion, cilantro, sweet potato and peruvian corn. It was a huge serving and more than enough for me to eat as my meal (since I was not planning on sharing, haha). The tiger milk was perfection which is one the main things I love about Peruvian ceviche. All the seafood was tender and fresh - even the calamari rings which I am particular about. My husband got their signature Fettuccine Huancaina which is lomo saltado (steak) served over fettuccine with huancaina sauce and pecorino cheese. It was delicious and he loved every bite. Sadly, we were too stuffed for dessert but those also sounded amazing. Next time! The staff was so friendly and accommodating -- we'll definitely be back. read more

I found this hidden gem out in Clermont, and honestly... it needs to be put on the map ASAP. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but trust me; it's worth finding. All my Yelp elite people, I'm putting you ON. If you live nearby or you're just looking for somewhere new to try, this is easily one of the best Peruvian spots I've ever had! definitely in my top three. The food was espectacular, both in flavor and portion size, and the drinks? Absolutely phenomenal. What really made it stand out to me was the vibe. It has this beautiful bohemian, modern ambiance that you don't usually see in Spanish restaurants, which tend to lean more traditional. This felt fresh, stylish, and still super authentic. On top of that, everything else checked out; easy parking, clean private bathrooms, and amazing service that tied the whole experience together. Highly, highly recommend. This spot deserves way more attention. read more

This is a must see.. must do restaurant. This was the second time I have visited the establishment. The ambiance is a plus for me~ whether outside dining or inside- relaxed, open with friendly staff. Presented in a unique and lovely style~ the food is delicious. I've come as a party of 3 where we dined on their scrumptious and filling tapas. On this day it was a party of 6. ( call before hand to let them know if you have a big party coming) I tried their tartare - with the wonton chips. Delicious! They have crafted cocktails - mine was light and refreshing. I'm adding Huarike to my list of favorite Peruvian restaurants in Central Florida. I checked it out after seeing content on social media. As a Peruvian, I wanted to make sure it was as good people were saying. I'm happy to report that it was good! I was welcomed with "canchita" toasted corn. I ordered a causa acevichada and it was delicious. This is a smashed potato tower with ceviche on top. The ceviche was delicious and that's a must for me at any Peruvian restaurant I try. The ceviche must be good. For my drink I ordered Peru's traditional soda Inka Kola. I also ordered lucuma ice cream which a traditional flavor in Peru. Service was great and I loved the decor of the restaurant. They also have outdoor seating. I will definitely be back and try more dishes. read more

This restaurant hasn't been open that long. But I've wanted to go to it ever since I saw an Instagram influencer review it. It looked amazing. However, you never know if it truly is. We finally went and we are so happy we did. Not only was it good but it far exceeded our expectations! Everything we got was fantastic. Especially the Acevichado Roll! I am literally still dreaming about it. Every ingredient was high-quality and the staff was very sweet and so welcoming and grateful for you coming to dine with them. Tried the newest Peruvian restaurant in Clermont, FL called Huarike. Huarike is an off the beaten path kinda place. Much charm from it being a bungalow home. I surely love this setting. Decided upon eating outside on the patio and it was like our own personal dining experience. I loved the outside more than the inside actually. I ordered the Peruvian Ramen which comes with Seafood. This was so so good, & distinctly different than usual Japanese Ramen. My husband had Lomo Saltado with fettuccine noodles and pesto. It was very good. We were able to walk in and get seated right away, which was a great start. The cocktails were beautifully presented, incredibly refreshing, and fairly priced. The ceviche was fresh, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious--we ordered ours super spicy, and it delivered the perfect kick. For dinner, we had the wagyu sliders, which were fantastic. The fries could've been a bit crispier, but overall still enjoyable. The lomo saltado was packed with flavor, but the true standout was the handcrafted fettuccine with huancaína sauce and pecorino cheese. It had a nostalgic hint of Kraft mac and cheese, but in the best possible, elevated way. I'd honestly return just for that dish. Service was impeccable--friendly, fast, and attentive. It's very difficult for me to find something to complain about (food wise) and give low ratings, however-- our experience here was incredibly disappointing. Im aware that this restaurant is brand new and are fixing and tweaking things, but the food was terrible. When we first arrived, there of course was a wait which is expected. However, there were a total of 2 chairs in the 'waiting' area and it was so hot and crowded. There was no host and the waitress had to stop what she was doing to help the guests in line. We were seated in about 8 minutes and promptly greeted by our waitress who was such a sweetheart. Our drinks took over 10 minutes to arrive at the table and were so sour we had to order extra water. Our appetizer took well over 15 minutes to arrive. Then came our entrees after about 35 minutes. All of it was incredibly salty, an unbearable amount of salt. For the steep prices, the quality of the food was mediocre and some of it overcooked. We've eaten plenty of authentic peruvian food at hole in the walls but its apparent that this restaurant focuses more on an aesthetic than the food and offerings. We unfortunately will not be returning. If you want good peruvian food in clermont, I recommend Don Ceviche instead. read more

We came here for my birthday with my family! It was so nice and the vibe is really amazing. All of our food came out very quick and it was all so beautiful! Food, service and ambiance are 100%. We were in Claremont doing errands and hadn't eaten anything all day. I refused to do a chain restaurant. I wanted something tasty and different. I jumped on Yelp and did my magic and walla...came up with this restaurant. My husband and I loved it so much; he's having my birthday there tonight with our close friends. It's a favorite now and will be looking for more errands to do in the Claremont area. There are so many Peruvian dishes that are delicious but you absolutely have to have the ceviche. The place is in a remodeled house near a lake. Place was packed, but we were lucky enough to get a table on the porch. The weather was cool enough so we were comfortable.
