Fantastic food and service. The decor is pretty spot on for a local English neighborhood pub, which was fun to look around at. They didn't have Magner's cider, but did have Strongbow, so I got that. Granted, Magner's IS Irish, so understandable for an English pub. My partner got a soda, and never had a problem with that nor my water running low thanks to our server! I got the fish and shrimp combo, my partner got the steak pie, and we shared the fried pickles as a starter. I really liked how crisp the breading on the pickles were, and my partner commented that it almost tasted like there might have been brine in the batter. The fish and shrimp was amazing- the fish was battered well without being too much, and had a great flavor. The shrimp were not overdone, which I often find a problem. The cocktail sauce was great, good kick from the horseradish. The tater sauce was a good complement, and actually had enough pickle to not feel like I was just eating mayo on my fish..... but, I did prefer to enjoy with just the malt vinegar on the table!!! My partner's steak pie had a lovely flaky crust, and the side of gravy for his chips was very good. We both ended up dipping quite a few of our chips in it! Overall, I'm excited to go back and try other varieties of fried fish, because the base of cod was done so well! read more

We walked in and seated ourselves among all the British decor. Service was fast. We were going to order the cod and chips until our server mentioned the Paddock and chip's special which included Cole slaw, hush puppies and a soda for $13.99. The taste was fantastic, but the proportion of batter to fish was too much. I wonder if the cod would have been more equally portioned. Next time we'll try that with the chowder. The sides were good. Plenty of parking. read more

It had been a while since we had been back here, but both of us were craving fish and chips. We came in on Saturday around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and it was definitely busy. We were assuming lunch rush as it slowed down shortly thereafter. But there is always a steady line for to go orders. They do have different options that you can get for your fish and chips. We stuck with the most common, cod. The cod filet that comes out is very large and perfect for one sitting. It also comes with a very large serving of chips. They are perfectly cooked, although a little bit more seasoning would be great. Overall, we really enjoy our meal and the service is fantastic as well. The entire team is very hospitable. read more

Good, not great, and too pricey for just a little better than mediocre. I've had better fish from Long John Silver's back in the day. The Fries (Chips) were very good and I'll say it was extremely fresh and hot. Yet, the fish had very little taste without malt vinegar or tartar sauce. One piece of fish and some chips were $21+. If it was priced more appropriately, I'd probably give it a 4 star. read more

Clermont Fish House - Fish (Cod) and chips... $21.xx - Fish & Chips Near Me - Clermont, Florida

I ordered takeout, which kept very well on the drive home. The fish was hot and perfectly breaded without being too bread-y or soggy! I substituted okra as a side, which was delicious and complimented the fish well. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed the themed decor of the restaurant. read more

Delicious food and service. We loved the clam chowder and scotch eggs. Fish and chips were a generous portion. Clam strips were good but on the smaller side for portions. This is a true hidden gem. One flaw is their parking lot. It gets busy and crowded and after that you really don't know where to park if it's full. read more

What a wonderful reminder of how delicious English pub food can truly be. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted at once by the staff. We ordered a Scotch egg with Coleman's mustard. Spot on! Hubs ordered the fish and chips and I got the meat pie with peas. It was all very tasty. For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding. It was incredible. There's even a little English store to buy things. Definitely worth going here. read more

I love introducing friends to this place. The fun, bright decor and friendly staff add to the great experience. It's one of a few places I know in the area where you have multiple choices for which fish you want with the most amazing tartar sauce. And yes, do get that yummy dessert. read more

Cod Fish and Chips was so delicious. One of my daughters finds. The clam chowder soup is also delicious. I will be back. Nothing fancy but very good food. Cassie was our server, very accommodating and I'll ask for her the next time we come. Taking the Banana Foster Cheesecake (banoffee) and Cassie offered an Ice Tea to go ! read more

I was craving some fish and chips and wanted to try this place for the first time. They have take out or dine in and do you want dine in then you seat yourself and pick any table you like then our server Tyler came over he explained he was in training and he did a good job checking on us and the food came out quick. Got the cod fish and chips and it was hot and delicious! I like the decor inside because the theming made it feel like I was back in London again and they have a little section to buy British snacks and merch. Definitely recommend this spot if you are ever in Clermont area! read more

Love...love the amazing food and the stellar service here! It is a must to be on your stop and eat list!

After months of seeing this place, I decided to TREAT Wifey to some FISH last Thursday. What A DISAPPOINT...After being seated Service was Spotty, kinda inattentive (when main part of your dinner order is missing). We ordered the Haddock and Cod Sandwiches . The Fish filets were coated in a Shellac of unseasoned thick ass Breading that sheathed the Fish like I've never been served before...The Fish were UNSEASONED, the Fries werhtSPOTe tasteless, ditto Onion rings...Did I mention that the Fish UNSEASONED as Were the FRIES????....My delayed Coleslaw was the sole bright SPOT. Apparently I haven't been Missing ANYTHING !! read more

Wow, what a fun little find in Clermont! We were craving fish and chips and after walking all over downtown following the farmers market, weren't able to find an option with quick seating. We remembered driving past this joint a few times and never going in, so off we went. This place has fun decorations and even a little shop with authentic English food. We enjoyed trying new things like the scotch egg and toasttoast with beans but the star of the show was the crispy fish and homemade sauce. Delicious! read more

The food and service was great. We were traveling and said if and when we come back through here we will make sure to stop again.

I had the Beef & onion pie, very good, tasty. Initially it looked small but I was very full after finishing dinner. My wife had Mahi Salad, the fish was delicious and very tasty, moist grilled just right! Very nice atmosphere, casual and quaint. The staff were very friendly, nice and attentive! I highly recommend this place, we will return again to try other menu options. read more

Clermont Fish House - Fish and chip platter. Perfect! - Fish & Chips Near Me - Clermont, Florida

Good enough to draw lots of customers. Clam chowder needs work. The fish entrees are the best in Clermont. The casual wait staff are not intrusive. Generally, a quiet place to eat and chill. Tables and chairs are basic. I like this place. read more

Food was very good I deducted a star cause the cod was very greasy. Don't get me wrong I ate it all but I needed a couple napkins to take some of the oil out. The Guinness was delicious and cold. I'll be back to try the chicken next time read more

The fish did not have any flavor. My husband had the haddock and I have the flounder. The flounder was slimy. The french fries are frozen with no seasoning at all. Definitely needs to improve. Add more flavor. The sweet tea and the hush puppies were good. The service was good too. read more

Totally love this place. Have driven past 10-15 times a year on the way to Orlando. Open when we go, closed on way home. Made a deliberate mid-day trip for a meal today and we're NOT disappointed. Food is exceptional. Fish (cod is super moist) and wonderful chips with our malt vinegar on the side is yum. Haddock is a bit drier, but coating makes up for that. Big pieces of fish. Yum again! We had room for dessert! Sticky Toffee Pudding arrives warm and is luscious. Decor is very British, soccer, sporty, and lovely. read more

Clermont Fish House - Fish and Chips with Haddock - Fish & Chips Near Me - Clermont, Florida

Food and service are great! I'm not a fried seafood fan and had their mahi grilled and it was great!!

The fish was delicious, cooked perfectly and the batter was outstanding. The chips were disappointing at best. They didn't taste like freshly made chips and they weren't shaped like British chippy chips. The mushy peas were good but the curry sauce was bland. I'll go back but see if I can order fish without chips. read more

This is is the best. Went here with 22 ladies. Out of that group there was no one that made any negative comments. They were all very happy with the food, service and the room we had. If you have not tried this place, you're missing a lot of great food. I had the steak pie and it was just like what I had in England. Meat so tender and crust was very flaky. Yum read more

Great service and fish. Everything is fried, but the batter isn't real thick. Each fish plate comes with one fillet, so if you're hungry order an extra fillet. I really LOVE the give a book take a book telephone booth. read more

My bf and I went Fish House, we both had codfish fish and chips. The restaurant reminded him as old British bar like. Since he is from London. We had to try! The foods were excellent! We both loved and enjoyed them ver much. The waitresses were all super friendly and made sure we got what we needed. We'll absolutely go again! read more

Authentic British-style mom & pop in Central Florida, and the best one I had outside of the UK and Australia. We ordered two cod & chips and had lots of leftover chips. The portion was very generous: one very large piece of tender, beer-battered cod, and thick-cut chips. The cod was both seasoned and fried to perfection. I'm not a huge fan of thick-cut fries but I really liked these. 2 entrees are enough for 4 people if you are not super hungry. We heated up the leftovers in the air fryer on the second day. :) The space is creatively and beautifully decorated with British memorabilia, the service was very friendly, and the wait for the food was not bad at all! read more

You're going for the food. Super crisp and hot. Just the way I like it. The service was nice and prompt. We tried the scotch egg. Never had one before. It was interesting. The mustard had a good zing in it. Ambiance was okay. Wanted to sit at the bar, but no bartender. I will be back. Reasonable prices for reasonable servings. read more

Let's just say everything was outstanding! 1st time here, wasn't sure what to expect. Greeted the moment I entered by a pleasant young lady, then my server at the bar was just as pleasant. Drink order was taken immediately followed by my meal selection. I chose the Cod fish and chips, great choice I made. The food came quick along with the attentive service by the young lady. It definitely deserves another visit, everything was cooked perfectly. You actually feel that you are in an English pub. read more

Was excited to give this place a chance, but I have to say Long John Silver's fish at high-end prices. If there's a long John's silvers in the area, just go to that and save yourself a lot of money at a third of the cost. It was good, but not that good. Too expensive. read more

Friendly atmosphere, delicious fish and chips, fun decor- what's not to love! It was a busy Friday but the wait staff took time with everyone, chatting, and making sure we had what we needed. I tried the cod and my husband had the flounder. Both were excellent. We will be back for sure! read more

Clermont Fish House - Cod Fish and chips, mushy peas and battered sausage ! - Fish & Chips Near Me - Clermont, Florida

The previous owners had a good pub. . . . both a traditional loud bar side and a quieter side ** . . . good fish quality and well prepared . . . ample fish & chips for a good size doggie bag . . . great service The new owners have lowered the quality level significantly. We thought the fish at McDonald's is better. (Yipes!) For those not-in-the-know, go ahead and eat. If you REALLY know and enjoy Irish grub, pass it by. ** Authentic pubs had divided sides - one side usually for men (where they could drink and talk loud or bawdy) and a separate side for ladies, couples, and/or families (quieter and more sedate). read more
