It's a fun local place, and they have games planned throughout the week. The restaurant is a good sized and when we went there on a Thursday night, there was a trivia group playing. Our server was friendly and overall we had a good experience with the staff. The food however, didn't really impress us. We ordered the fish and chips and scotch eggs. The scotch eggs didn't seem very fresh and were quite hard on the outside. It was my first time trying them so I wasn't sure what to expect, but after looking them up online, ours looked much more over crispy than they should be. On the positive side, they have a great selection of beers and ciders. I tried the Magners and really enjoyed it.

My wife and I stopped in with family while visiting in the area. We were looking for someplace different and I certainly was having a hankering for fish and chips. So happy we stopped here! Fairly large and well kept restaurant, they were setting up for their Thursday night trivia. We sat in front of a large television that was playing a cricket game. We opened with adult beverages. Was so very happy that they had Magners cider. My wife ordered a chocolate espresso martini while my sister-in-law's friend ordered an old speckled hen. Two of us ordered the cod while my wife ordered a tomato basil bisque and a sausage roll. And our other ordered the chicken curry pie. All was delicious and authentic! There's even a small English shop you can hit on the way out to pick up some goodies! So happy we stopped! Keep up the great work!.

What a lovely experience! My husband has been dying for some British food (his home country) lately and since we were at Legoland-it was the perfect stop before we went back to Orlando! Service was wonderful and so attentive! The restaurant had so much space and lots of seating! But also a great little bar area, live music and a pool table/darts! Food was delicious as expected and I Loved the homemade tartar sauce! The dill was the perfect touch in it!! We also loved the little British Shop attached! Perfect place to buy some British delicacies! My husband is always looking for crumpets so he was very excited to buy some! Can't wait to come back!!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and they were not too busy. The service was excellent, the server was very attentive. The food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. Cute little place, we would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Al way had a little Love/Hate with Friar Tuck. But location often won out to meet a friend for a quick drink, but normally not food. Now under new ownership, I went back for dinner. Started with a house salad. Nothing really special, but works. So....actually I'm a sucker for shredded lettuce! That and a good Blue Cheese and I'm happy! Followed by the Cottage Pie. Presentation is a five! Being picky the mash on top looks great, but are a little over done and dry. However, not bad.

We loved the food, ambiance and service. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great, mine was atleast (Bangers and Mash). My husband didn't care for the fish and chips, they weren't terrible just lacked flavor... so very authentic. Lots of events, like trivia nights on Tuesday so we will definitely be going back.

Cute little British pub. My husband and I dropped in one evening when I was craving fish & chips. We didn't realize that they have so much fun events but we instantly were so excited about the schedule of events displayed when we came in. We definitely want to come for a trivia night, it seems like it would be such a fun place to attend an event. The service was pretty slow considering there was such a small number of people in the restaurant. I got fish & chips obviously and my husband ordered a ham and cheese toastie. He liked his sandwich! My fish was HUGE and tasty but I was disappointed with the thickness and sogginess of the batter on the bottom. It fell apart so bad while I was eating so I ended up having to scoop it up with a fork to eat it. We really want to come back for Sunday roast now that we know it's a thing.

The people are great!! I really enjoy them. The service however was amazingly horrible. I literally sat in a dining room with 4 other sat tables. Four servers walked past me multiple times. I couldn't even get a glass of water none of them stopped despite me looking parched, starved, and longing for attention. I finally moved to the completely empty bar and had to wave down the hostess that originally sat me. I wanted Scott eggs and a Donner kabob. They didn't have either!!! Wth!! Frustration on top of frustration. Settled for a sausage roll which turned out to be a reheated frozen version. It was just ok. Ordered the fish and chips with a side of curry sauce for my fries. Sadly the curry sauce was the best part!! The fish was good size and the top half was crispy and delicious. The bottom half seemed to have been set IN grease to drain as opposed to on a rack for the grease to drain of. It sat on top of the greasy AF limp chips (French fries). When finally asked if everything was ok, I asked for the fries to be fried crisp, like a chip should be. He said the deep fryers were off and mine was literally the last order they cooked. Frankly, it should have never been sold. I tried to order a dessert to go and was told the kitchen was closed. It never even dawned on him to let me know the kitchen was going to close and ask if I wanted anything else. Extremely disappointing visit. I might try them again mid-week, but will never be back on a Sunday.

This place is cute! Found it in my Yelp searches for food nearby our resort. This place popped up so we headed out. About a 15 minute drive from Mystic Dunes. It's located in a shopping and dining plaza where there is street parking as well as lot parking behind the building. The place wasn't busy at all and we were greeted upon entering. The owner was the only one working the front and he was doing a great job. Very apologetic about wait times due to him being the only one however service was great so no need to apologize. Breakfast is served until around noon. I got the corned beef hash which comes with eggs and toast. Hubs got the Lil Friar which I didn't snap a pic of. I loved my breakfast! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash was delicious! They do serve tea in a porcelain tea pot and tea cups which why wouldn't they right!? I didn't know until after I saw others with them on their table. They also have a small British store attached that sells goodies. Come support local and give this place a try. They are so friendly and service is great.

Authentic and very good British pub food. Fish and chips are spot on. Full English breakfast is authentic and delicious. Great atmosphere. Terrific service. Friar Tuck has a full bar. There's a small shop with imported British foods and snacks. Next time we'll go for the traditional Sunday Roast. Look forward to it.

My wife has been bugging for a few days to try this place, but after trying another British pub in…read morethe area, I was hesitant mainly because that wasn't the best experience, but I finally agreed. What greeted me when I walked in was a very very quiet place (it was 9.02am!) but also Chris and Anne. Between the welcome of both of them, I very quickly felt like I became part of the family. I did have my baby goat with me - yes you read goat correctly! Who was happily in his stroller and both Chris and Anne fell in love with him. Because we were one of the only couples in the pub at this time, my wife and I had a real opportunity to sit and chat with Chris and Anne, and as a Brit who hasn't been home in a very long time, I can say meeting these people made my little British heart happy. We ordered a breakfast (because you have to!) and beans on toast, with a pot of tea - everything was incredible! It was even British bread!! My wife did get a cheeky beer, one : because she's on vacation, and two: because Anne took the batteries from the clock so it showed 5pm haha BRILLIANT!! Fast forward to dinner! My wife and I liked this place so much we came back from dinner and bingo!! Well to say we got an entrance is the understatement of the decade! Chris announced Vinny's arrival (that's the goats name!) and the entire place roared with excitement that there was a baby goat there. For dinner, I tried the fish and chips and my wife got the chicken curry. Chicken curry first - that sauce was exceptional. It was so good that I stole more than I will admit, especially in writing. The naan was cooked perfectly and something I would have no trouble ordering for myself. Fish and chips - I have tried more different fish and chips claiming to be good (then aren't) than I care to admit, so I didn't really have a lot of hope. This was extra true because they were so busy. Well let me tell you, when Tracy, one of the exceptional barmaids brought it, I thought straight away "they know what they are doing", it came on a greaseproof mock newspaper sheet and a tray - not a plate. I also got it with curry sauce and mushy peas. At first sight, it looked perfect - but I've learned, hard, that it is all in the taste. Well, they met my expectations and then some. That by far was the BEST fish I have had in America in the 16 years I've lived here. It was the correct amount of crunch for the batter without destroying the fish filet, the fish was a good meaty piece and held so much flavor, and the portion was amazing. My wife had fallen in love since her morning dabble with Old Speckled Hen beer so of course had to order (a few) more. Everything always came out quickly and even though we did have to wait maybe 15 - 20 minutes for food, I can appreciate still how fast that is when there was barely a seat in the place and everything is cooked to order! My wife and I sat at the bar until the placed pretty much closed - because we opened the day with them so it felt appropriate to close it out too. I looked around and realized just got much I missed home. But! This was a great plan B just to really scratch that itch! And with Anne's shop in the back selling all the crisps I could want, frozen goods, cakes, goodies and all the staples us Brit's miss, this feels like somewhere British people can really come together and regroup. I want to make sure I stress how incredible Chris is! That man is a real jewel to that place. He has a sense of humor that with keep him smiling forever. I feel like there's a lot of incredible people out there, but Chris, he's something truly special and 100% lives up to the title of Best of British. Truthfully, seeing Chris was a massive part of the reason I wanted to go back for dinner and bingo. He also gives the best hugs!! Tracy met me as a customer and her as my server, and my wife and I walked out knowing we made a lifelong friend. She has a heart of gold and I have no doubt that she too, is an asset to this pub. Although I think she liked my goat the most haha! Do yourself a favor, if you're in the area and want some good wholesome food, drinks and conversation, try it. You won't be disappointed. 100% would recommend! Human and goat approved.

We were seated immediately, all the staff were friendly (shoutout to our server Lucas who went above and beyond to make our dining experience amazing). Fine, if that's the rules, I'll play by them. But on top of that, our personal server only gets to share that tip and has to ask for additional tip?
