Surprisingly excellent! I saw this location being built from the ground up and thought it would be a failure in that location... wrong. It's a thriving business in a community that was desperate for it more than they knew. Added our name on the waiting list and our preference to sit outside and off we went. Staff were very hospitable and friendly. Outside seats were clean and well maintained. Our server ( Joyce ) understood the menu well and advised to be cautious not to go beyond our appetite. Smoked salmon Benedict was excellent. French toast was delicious. Pancakes were moist and hearty. Coffee/ orange juice had no complaints. Presentation was great. Wanted to try this location since it was close to home. It was pretty packed.. we waited around 15 mins to be seated luckily we were just 2. We were greeted by our waiter who was pretty cool. I have been wanting to try their seasonal fall menu. First up was the blaze dragon fruit juice - tasted good a little too sweet for me personally. My chicken tacos were OK, they were pretty dried, even with the pico and beans a sauce was definitely needed... the croissant sandwich was really good, fluffy and fresh. I did like the potato's at this location NOT salty at all which I loved. Overall a normal experience with regular service. read more

Came in for a quick breakfast. This was our first time at this location and I found it to be the same quality as others I've visited and enjoyed. Service was ok, but friendly as our waiter walked us through the new menu, though I'll add that he seemed a bit distracted and could take some time to come back to the table. This location seems to be a bit larger and spacious than the older locations I usually visit. I tried the new maple bacon croissant and really enjoyed it. It was very filling and tasty. I appreciated how fluffy the croissant was as it wasn't dry choking. The blazing dragon is the new seasonal drink and it was really good as well. Not an extremely large facility. Nice modern chic feel decor inside. Our waitress was nice. I asked her if it's possible to do two different kind of salad for the Lunch 2 For You menu, she said not suppose to but she should be able to make it happen if I wanted. That was nice, I didn't in the end but still nice of her to offer. It's just crazy to me that the price for the basic Tri-Fecta is almost $15 for basically 2 sausage links and two eggs. (We all know flours to make waffles/pancakes isn't that expensive). I didn't try anyone else's food. My meal was good portion for the price. The fruits on my salad definitely could have been fresher. I don't know if the strawberries were soaked in something to make it more shelf stable but it was soft, kind of white pinkish, & not 'fresh' looking. My roast beef sandwich had good amount of beef. The strawberries on the Tres Leche French Toast had the same issue. Some parts of the million dollar potato were very salty, these were the outer crispy part of the potato (the best parts), but the salt was a bit much. The rest is great; the bacon and the Parmesan cream sauce were nice. The kale tonic was very green tasting, we liked it. Spent some quality time with my grandparents and decided to try First Watch since it was so conveniently located near their community. I had a serious pancake craving, and this place absolutely delivered! Food: 5/5 I got the berry pancakes with a side of million dollar bacon--exactly what I wanted. I have been to multiple locations and while i understand that this one is brand new, it needs more organization. Waited about 50 minutes to be seated, once we had our table, we had to ask our server for things multiple times because she kept forgetting. Once our food came out, it was cold and that was the last drop for me. The "million dollar potatoes" are just breakfast potatoes with crumbs of bacon and some cheese on top. The potatoes that came with my omelette were almost stale. Unfortunately, not the best experience for this particular location. Maybe once they get their rhythm down it'll be better. read more

First time at a First Watch was a nice experience. Party of six was seated quickly and staff was friendly. The interior was bright and pleasant. The large patio offered plenty of extra room. Coffee was served right away. We started with million dollar bacon which was spicy and delicious. First Watch has been one of my favorite eateries for many years. However recently at the new Poinciana location I was a bit disappointed on 3 occasions in the last month. Two times this month when I ordered the Trifecter with the blueberry pancakes were served upside down to hide the fact that they were slightly burned. I brought it to the servers attention and he removed my plate and took it back. to the kitchen. But by the time he came back with a not burned and nicely plated pancake my wife had already completed her meal. Since this happened to me more than once in such a short period of time , it appears that the cooks need better training or supervision. Serving a burnt and upside down pancake is totally not acceptable , for taste and appearance. I would generally give First Watch 4 to 5 stars which ever location I visit but because of this situation I could only give 3. Please note, the servers and staff are the greatest, however they could be a bit more cognizant before they plate the food on the table. read more

I started out so excited! The place is so inviting, warm, cozy, I was so hungry too. Yeah - not at all impressive. The best part was the "look" and "possibility of a good experience". NOPE. So yesterday my friend and I went to Outback for dinner, had 3+ course meal with everything from dessert, to drinks, to amazing soup and salad. For similar price and way way worse service we get a sad omelet. Beyond the super duper average to poor flavorless food - the service was shocking on a Tuesday at 11 am - with 20% occupancy. We asked for everything but silverware and menu. Can we please have water? Can we please have napkins? Can we please order now? Hours later we left unhappy. Sorry but I tell the truth. I decided to get up early and give the new First Watch joint on Marigold a try today -- and I got a free breakfast! But believe me, you do not want to get the 'deal' I got. I was the first one through the door when the manager unlocked it at 7am. A breakfast place that doesn't open until 7am? Whatever. Was sat and ordered. I chose the Bacado - an avocado, bacon and sour cream omelette, coffee and water. My coffee arrived promptly without the water also ordered. After five minutes, a server different from the one I ordered with returned to ask how I wanted the eggs on my Bacado. I looked up at her and said, "It's an omelette." She said, "Oh, OK." 15 minutes later, my meal arrived, half-cold as it sat in the window too long while the three servers on duty rolled setups, filled jam cups and whatnot. Still no water. My plate was dropped off without a word. After finding out my plate was half-hot, I plowed ahead and hoped to see a sign of my water. No luck, so I put my utensils and napkin down and made my way through the completely empty dining room (I was the only customer in the restaurant) to find the three servers at the kitchen window and asked for my water. It came a minute later, but still no inquiry if everything was good and do I need anything else. I read the news and finished my meal, then waited for the check to come. It was dropped off by yet another server, who laid it by my now-empty plate pushed across my table, but again, didn't ask how everything was, didn't clear my dirty plate, ask whether I needed anything else (I drained the half-carafe of coffee I was given and would have liked some more or a to-go cup), or any thanks for coming in. When I went up to pay at the cashier station, I handed my check to the staff who, again, didn't ask how I enjoyed my meal. Before handing over my cash, I asked, "Are you going to ask how everything was?" After my prompting, he said, "Was everything good?" "No," I said. Then I gave him the breakdown: - Order-taker was unfamiliar with your menu - Order was delayed because they are unfamiliar with your menu - Water never arrived until I got up to ask for it after 20 minutes - Food arrived half-hot - Zero check-ins, and I'm about the only guest here, 3 servers working - Plates not cleared when check dropped - No satisfaction check at end of meal - I got zero table service in an empty restaurant He summoned the manager, and I gave him the same story. He comped my meal and wished me a good day. It will be a long, long time before I return. read more

Dear first watch managers and cooks. . I would like to ask you what you call this crap. I ordered biscuit with turkey sausage and gravy and all you gave me was lousy biscuit and a cut up potato. There is nothing in the gravy other than crushed pepper.. This plate is absolutely pathetic. If i wanted " broke people food" I could have made this crap myself. If I spend my hard earned money on food, I expect REAL food. Whoever made this and thought this is acceptable is not qualified to work there. Ok two stars because my food was good and promptly given to me. The only thing was I had to wait awhile for a glass of milk to put in my coffee. My partner's food was wrong, and had to wait another 20 min before he received his order. In the meanwhile, I was trying to wait but after 10 min I started to eat my food. Granted, the place was busy and noisy, but still no excuse for waitress not checking in on us. We had to go up to the podium and get our own togo boxes. Probably cause she was mad that we complained to the manager. Manager was very nice, and comped our meals, but waitress was totally unacceptable.
