It's located in downtown celebration, which is cute. But I found parking to be interesting. It's unclear to a newbie where to park or if there's a fee in the town (there are some areas for visitors to apartments, and a few that note there is a decal required). But we managed to find some on street parking. Anyway, the place is cute. And the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We were seated and the waitress took our order pretty soon after - and the food came out very quickly. The just egg with the hash and an impossible patty was really good. Ironically, when we first stopped in for dinner, we ended up leaving because the menu seemed to have too many fried options for what we were looking for. I'm actually glad we gave it another chance because we came back for breakfast, and I think that was definitely the right choice. Our table ordered the apples and sausage breakfast (which was a big hit), the South of the Border breakfast with four sausages, and the avocado toast. We also enjoyed plenty of coffee, and everyone was happy with their meal. Marcus was a friendly waiter, although I did have to flag down another employee once to get a coffee refill. Other than that, the service was good. The diner has lots of old photographs decorating the walls, which gives it a nostalgic feel. I've always had a soft spot for classic diners, so I'm glad we made our way back and got to enjoy breakfast here while we were in town. I tried the classic burger, the beef was fresh and flavorful, but the single patty was on the small side. They do offer double and triple patties, so now I know to size up next time. If you are coming here when it is busy, like a weekend morning, be prepared to wait to be seated and to wait on your food. The wait will be well worth it. On this visit I sat at the counter and watched all the wonderful food come out of the kitchen. I was drooling the whole time, especially after I saw a side of bacon, the shrimp and grits, the bowls and really everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Ordered a patty melt and make your own skillet, with a folded egg and they got the egg perfect. The patty melt was perfect and loved the tots which were on the side. I feel on this visit they were not on their A game and still the food definitely made up for the wait. Stopped in Sunday morning, was pretty busy. Sat right away. Had a miscommunication with the server and host so we sat for awhile lol all good, once we put in our order drinks and food were out in like 5-10 mins. Very fast, I had the biscuits n gravy platter. Comes with two eggs, breakfast meat(I got ham steak). The bowl of biscuits (like 3-4) was a huge portion. Coulda used a slight more gravy but very good overall. This was our third time here and I decided to write a review... the food? Pretty good. Diner quality, for sure with huge portions. The decor, a lot of fun. I'm an 80s baby/90s kid, and love the fun collectibles from that era scattered around. What I DID NOT love... is the cleanliness. Everything is GROSS. It's sticky, it's crumby, the floors are dirty, and the bathroom (can only speak for the women's) is rancid. Ceiling fans kept dripping condensation into our food while we sat and ate, the ceilings are also gross, so that was nasty. If the place were clean, 5 stars all the way. But this was my third time here (my kids love it, they don't care if it's clean), so I'm 99% sure it wasn't just a fluke it was gross, I think it's like that all the time. Yelp asked if I would recommend it... and I put "maybe". Food is good, staff is friendly, but I'd be embarrassed recommending somewhere so dirty without warning people first. read more

Speaking of decor, I visited during December when the whole restaurant was taken over by The Grinch, and it was adorable. We stopped in for dinner after experiencing the "snow" in the downtown area. For a table of 2 while it was pretty busy, we were seated right away. The service was quick. The sodas were massive. Fried green beans and Buffalo chicken dip was to start. I really liked the fried green beans and the dipping sauce. For entrees, we ordered the Steakhouse Salad and a Cheeseburger. The salad was fresh. However, the steak was overcooked. It was well. I am on the fence about coming back, as I was not impressed with the experience this time around. We tried WORLD FAMOUS DUTCH BABIES. However, I think the experience was not as desirable, as it appears that the back section where they sat us, the A/C was out, during a day when the weather was 94 degrees outside. Both were extremely delicious and very filling. The atmosphere of this diner is very friendly and relaxed. Indoor seating as well as dog friendly seating options are available. Shameful and confirms the nickel and dime business strategy I observed. Edit: Perplexing response from the owner. Essentially dismissed all of my criticisms while confirming the fries changed, the pizza is a tortilla, that my party was given rude treatment for sending the tortilla back, and ignored the pricing comment. Business 101 for you - cheaper to get return business than to win new business. Scolding your customers sharing valid criticisms in the comments is a dumb way to operate. Might as well just buy more curly fries - you'll see margin compression when you have to do more promos after people stop returning. Oh and for what it's worth. Yes a thick burger is an issue when it's a smash burger. As others have noted this place has gone down hill recently. They used to have wonderful Cajun curly fries, now replaced with thick bland cut pub fries. Breakfast pizza used to be on a flatbread. Instead was an uncut tortilla - like an open faced burrito. Burger was thicker, messier and less cleanly constructed. We used to be big fans of the bottomless mimosa deal (albeit in the evening). However it is not marked with a price so the owner silently changes it - our waiter said he was embarrassed when someone noted it was a cheaper option than the mimosa flight (which is offered all day as opposed to a special so not unusual to mildly cannibalize another menu item during promo hours). Service was mediocre to poor. Visibly shook their heads at us when we pushed back on the tortilla as an unacceptable change to the pizza. Don't think we'll be back unless they stop with the cheap cutbacks. read more

Okay, so this is a tough one but I've just about had it with this diner. Had been going every Sunday for the past couple months after dropping dad off at church. Rounded up from two because it's not a chain, the 80's theming is fun and the service while sometimes spotty is always friendly. The food is just not diner quality. The waffles and pancakes for the price are so disappointing. To be specific, they are dry in consistency, bland in flavor. Today I was struggling to find something on the menu that I wanted. My go-to order at fast food places is a simple sausage patty on a biscuit. I asked if that was possible and the server gave me a strange look. I was like, I see you serve them with gravy, why can't I just get one without gravy and you charge me less? He talked to the kitchen and then the kitchen expo, then came back and was like no. Weird, right? I mean, can't you just charge me for a biscuit, and one sausage patty?? The location is great, and there is a tragic lack of diners in this area, but unfortunately, not only is the food disappointing and overpriced, they won't even try to accommodate very simple off the menu requests. It's in a beautiful area called celebration with a lake, a window seat or outdoor seat will give you a nice little view of it. I was asked if I want more coffee and how I am doing a few times, always with a smile. Great atmosphere for a casual but fun breakfast/brunch/lunch. They have a great menu that covers pretty much everything for everyone, including gluten and dairy free options. They also have almond milk for coffee. Food was ok, the egg omelette seemed a little on the soft side, but the vegetables, potatoes and toast were tasty. Coffee was good. Service was excellent, I was traveling with a couple of my vegan friends and they were able to go above and beyond for them. They had a breakfast sampler with "Just Egg" and Impossible burger patties. I had the BBQ roll which had perfect portions of beef to fried onions and a side of their delightfully vinegary potato salad and a shareable fried pickles!! Soooooo salty and good!! The diner itself is clean and cutely decorated with nostaligic toys, but we were very disappointed in the food. I ordered a breakfast pizza, a favorite of mine. The menu said it was made on a flatbread. It came and it was on a tortilla. There was no way to pick it up and eat it like a pizza or even cut it up and eat with a fork. I had to scrape all of the toppings off, bite some tortilla then fork some toppings. Basically, it was an open-faced burrito. Gravy was served on the side and was only about three tablespoons worth. It didn't go far. Usually the gravy serves as the base sauce for the breakfast pizza. Just as well they didn't serve it that way though since they used a tortilla as it would have been even harder to eat. The other two people with me are both fans of reubens and that's what they each ordered. The worst they had ever had. Reubens are a sandwich with the meat, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, and served on rye bread. The reubens here had the meat but only a sprinkle of sauerkraut, no dressing, and was not served on rye. Will not be returning. read more
