We recently received multiple Bogo coupons in our email and had a gift card to use, great combination. We arrived around 9am on a Friday and the restaurant was about half full. Everything we ordered was excellent. I especially loved my pomegranate mimosa. Our food came out so fast. I didn't get a chance to order a second drink. By the time we left, the inside part restaurant was packed. There were seats outside in a nice shaded area, but it was really humid today. I met with family relatives here for lunch. This is a relatively new, modern, reasonably furnished but not fancy restaurant. The staff merged tables to create a larger table to accommodate our party. Since we had not seen each other for some time, our earlier conversation involved catching up on activities since our last meeting. The server was considerate and took our drink and meal orders. Food was okay, but this wasn't my favorite First Watch location. One thing I didn't care for was how close the tables are to each other. I don't mind being around other people, but having another family literally inches away made it feel less private than I prefer. My order was also incorrect, but I didn't make an issue out of it since the server was extremely busy and mistakes happen. What I received wasn't bad, just not what I had ordered. First time at this location. First impression: the restaurant inside was extremely smoky so we asked to sit outside and were seated immediately. However, it took around 10 mins for a server to come to our table to take the order. Service was fast from there. I tried something new to me here, as I have been to other locations before, the am superfoods bowl. The chia pudding was delicious, but the toast was nothing special. One of the eggs on my husband's hash was over cooked, and he said the potatoes were slightly undercooked. He opted not to complain given the amount of time we waited to be served. I've never had an issue with the food. It's fresh and well made. I tried the carnitas breakfast tacos and they were amazing. Well seasoned. The black beans were good. I added a little salt for more flavor but overall it was good. The salmon eggs Benedict's were delicious. My wife had that. Cheesy grits were delicious. Okay, wow! The First Watch winter menu absolutely delivered. We tried the new Raspberry Lemon Ricotta French Toast - it was incredible! And the Blueberry Fuji Apple Elderberry Juice was a refreshing and unique twist. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. As expected, First Watch was packed on a weekend, but we were lucky to be seated immediately since it was just the two of us. The chef was clearly passionate this day and the food was amazing. Note that this is a winter menu, so it's subject to change, which is a bummer. But for now, I'll definitely be returning soon! Even the classic breakfast is always a winner. Great service, friendly staff, great ambiance. We sat outside because the weather was gorgeous. My husband ordered hot tea and I ordered coffee, we each got our own pitcher. My husband was given a container with several tea flavors, a lemon wedge and honey, the perfect set up. I had my coffee with french vanilla creamer that was already placed in our table. They had regular creamer and hazelnut creamer as well. The coffee was freshly brewed. We also asked for water and they brought us our own pitcher so we could refill our glasses as needed. For breakfast I had the elevated breakfast sandwich, which was delicious and cooked just as I ordered it. My Husband enjoyed his Healthy Turkey omelette which he said was also delicious. They brought us our check and we were given the option to pay at the front or scan a QR code o that was on our check and pay online before leaving. We scanned the QR code and paying was easy. You had the option to split the bill or pay in full. You could pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or enter a credit card. Very simple and easy. The only reason for my 3 star review is because this place could be a LOT cleaner than it is. The first time we went there it was right after it opened and besides the food being really good, there were 15 tables left to be cleaned while we were there. Yes, we counted, because it was really an eyesore with leftover food all over the place, dirty floors, etc. the second visit was just now and, even though much better, the table right next to us was dirty, with whatever was left from the previous people's breakfast and no one bother cleaning it. We sat, order, eat and left and no one cleaned it. We just think it's a bit weird and looks like it's a common occurrence at this place specifically. While I was waiting on my food she explained how first watch was growing and talked about the area and even other dining options. Another lady brought out my to go order. I was half way home and realized I didn't see the side of potatoes. Went back to first watch and Deanna was standing in the door. I didn't even have to get out of the car. Told her what was missing. All meals were delicious, came quickly, the potatoes had a nice crisp outside, the bacon was cooked to perfection, the pancake was large enough that my son only ate 1 with some left over. We choose this place because it's First Watch and we thought it was a safe choice... this location is big and full of light and spacious and was pretty empty when we arrived yet we got seated in the back, in a dark corner by the bathrooms. We stayed since we have 3 small children so figured it's more important to get situated then asked to move. The waitress set down the coffee pot and literally said this is for whoever wants coffee. I'm not bougie and I can pour my own coffee but this is the first place that has just set the pot down and told me to self-serve. Food was extremely over cooked to the point the pancake was actually crunchy and hard. Waitress forgot the add ons of my order and did not apologize or even bring it up until I mentioned it. Not once did she come back to check on us while we were there besides bringing our order. Been here a few times. Normally the food is good. Today I tried a traditional breakfast and they failed to have the knowledge on how to make over medium eggs. I specifically stated whites cooked and yokes wet these were not these were over easy. I sent them back and the waiter argued with me. For what you're paying one should get what they order. first off, I can tell you that going to a restaurant owned by locals is terrific. It is spotlessly clean and the staff is well trained and courteous. I won criticism is that it's extremely difficult to find out if they're in coupons or discounts I found them online, but I was told they may or may not work unless they come directly from First Watch and that was extremely difficult to figure out how to do so once again, I joined the app and I was told it would probably take a few days. This is important because if you show up with a family of four with jeff you're gonna be $60-$70 for breakfast and they're a lot less expensive options. However, the food is excellent service is excellent. It's just that communicating with new people who are just coming in is not as good as it should be and if you're driving down to Florida and looking for a place for breakfast, this is not a last-minute decision. You have to plan ahead to get the discounts and coupons otherwise you'll find that it's very expensive but it's excellent. One rather odd issue is it as I sat at breakfast I counted eight or nine employees nine employees ---excluding the kitchen staff either walking around the floor sitting and eating or just standing around and talking. It's a little bizarre. I have no idea what their purpose is other than I wonder if that's a focus they have rather than dealing with coupons and customers. read more
