St. Patrick's day celebration was a bust. It was a cash only celebration and they have an ATM just for you. Not only was the food mediocre! $10 entrance fee per person and not enough room to accommodate everyone. Cash only $10 to get in plus $3 ATM fee plus $3 from my bank for using that machine. Went here last night. Bingo night - not particularly busy but it had a pleasant atmosphere. Sadly - the food was dreadful. Not just mine , my friend's meal too. I sent my fish & chips back and they remade it. The fries were cold and looked as though they'd been cooked the previous day and left out on the counter. The fish was just about warm and the batter was slimy. Second time around wasn't much better. I was served same portion of cold fries but the fish was at least warmer. My friend ordered the cottage pie - it was cold and it was claggy; her fries were the same as mine, ie dreadful. Won't be visiting here again. Irish pubs usually have a great menu serving good, tasty food. Sadly, this isn't the case at the Wolfhound Irish Pub. read more

We have come to this lively little piece of Irish heaven a few times for the brunch but today we stopped in during the week for some fish n chips. You know with a british husband we are always on the hunt for good fish n chips. Well our search is over! The Wolfhound has, hand on my heart, the best fish n chips in this area. Plump moist cod loins with a crispy light batter. The chips were cooked to perfection also. We got in just before 6PM and place had a few guests which was a bit surprising but we proceeded to get a table for six. First thing we noticed was there was ONLY one waitress running like crazy to deliver and take orders. Later after ordering drinks we placed an appetizer order which took super long to get, at least 30 minutes. Our party was not ready to place our dinner order so we told waitress to give us a few minutes, huge mistake! The crowd started pouring in around 7 as there was no hope after that. We finally got her attention and she advised there was only one cook and several items were no longer available so we cashed out. Stopped in on our way to Lakeland from Gaylord Palms a few weeks ago. Knew nothing of the place. Could not have been happier that we stopped. Everyone's food in our group of 5 was absolutely fantastic. Every dish tasted homemade and portions were large. It was at an odd time of day so the bartender was our server and he couldn't have been any nicer and was very prompt with drinks and taking our orders. Stopped by for lunch with my partner, we both ordered the same Cod Fillet sandwich with fries. I was still assembling mine when my partner took her fist bite. "This fish has no taste", she exclaimed, I took a bite of my own, my partner was right, this was Not my kind of Cod! The fish was overly wet and sloppy, light gray in color, and it had all the hallmarks of being Pollock, and alas, only Cod's poor cousin. Cod has firm, white flakes, with a distinctive taste, our sandwiches had neither. I called the server and suggested the fish might indeed be Pollock to which he curtly replied, "It is Cod, because it has Cod on the side of the box". I can only guess that the Pollock lost its way and swam in the wrong direction? So bad was our experience that it was our first, and last visit to this place. After all eating out for lunch, should not a game of Russian Roulette, a decent meal should be expected without having to place a bet? read more

Went in because of the reviews but the place was not very lively and we waited 15 minutes with 0 service. Asked the only bartender on hand for a menu and he brushed me off. So I just walked out with my daughter and left. Customer Service goes a long way especially when your workers are lacking.
