It would've been one star BUT the food was delicious. I did a mobile order and just like my fellow Yelper, I should've stayed away from here. Placed a mobile order which, unfortunately, like other establishments, you must call the number to tell them you arrived. I pulled up and the employee was already delivering food to a car next to me. I did over hear the customer in the car, disgruntled, "well about time". The employee apologized and walked away. As the employee walked away, I called to let them know I'm here. It rang... About a minute and something I got a machine stating that no one is available and it hung up. I called again... After the eighth ring, somebody picked up and asked to hold and I said ok. As I was on hold, I noticed the same employee go outside to smoke her vape and check her phone. I was still on hold. ... About 8 minutes on the phone, it hung up on me. That's when I decided to go inside. I asked the host where the mobile pickup was and was directed to the side where the same employee was taking an order. After the customers left, I asked for my order which was behind her THE ENTIRE TIME, and she handed it to me. The. Same. Employee. Put me on hold to vape and then assisted other customers instead of me. Kinda redundant for having a mobile pickup. Lesson learned.

Best BBQ in the Orlando area!! No question. Better than Four Rivers, no comparison. Great ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sides. I had a BBQ beef brisket bowl with dirty rice that was great. Baked beans are the best, so was sweet potatoes and corn. Try the wonderful donut holes!! Fresh made. Place is wonderful, staff are the best, our server was new but excellent. Prices are reasonable.

Pulled Pork Combo with Baked Beans/Slaw.

Nov 23/19: This was not a bad meal at all. I had the pulled pork combo that came with Baked Beans (they were hot but not overly tasty), coleslaw (not much taste but again at the right temp), corn bread muffin (tasty, moist & a solid addition). The pulled pork was good but not hot enough. The selection of BBQ Sauces were excellent & I chose the "Sweet" sauce. It added tremendously to the taste profile of the Pork. Our server was the stand out point for this meal. His name was "Derek". He was one of the best server that I've had in a while. He was friendly, fast & very effective. He made multiple runs to the kitchen for food & always kept our 40oz drinks filled. If this is to be read by Sunnys Head office...promote this fella!! A definite do-over for us.

This Sonny's location is in the heart of Clermont with East aces off of 50. It has recently been renovated and is very clean inside. The staff is super friendly and service is great. Try the drive thru window if you're in a hurry. The salad bar is fairly small, but they have plenty of options with two different kinds of greens. Come in for a Carolina puked Park sammie with a side and sweet tea for aroumd $9.

I have not been to Sonny's in several years and was very pleased by the service. From the moment that we walked in we received friendly and accommodating service. The gentleman seating us started things off great by being upbeat and pleasant. Our waitress (Lisa T. ) followed him with the same awesome attitude. Our food was served quick, taste freshly cooked and everything was hot. We were checked on regularly throughout our meal. We started with fried okra ($4.29) and corn nuggets. ($4.29) The fried okra was served with ranch and like the corn nuggets was a nice treat. For entrees we ordered a kids chicken & fries ($5.59), two smoked wings & ribs ($27.58), chicken & ribs ($13.29), fries ($2.59) and pork 3 ways. ($13.79) The wings were good and the ribs were very good. They were moist and the meat sat loosely on the bone. The pork and chicken was also tender and juicy. My absolute favorite was the coleslaw. The cabbage was crunchy and it was not loaded down with mayo. It went great with the ribs and texas toast.

I ended up trying the London Fog seasonal cocktail, which was Gin based, and I enjoyed it greatly. Once at a table, we were promptly greeted by our server and we put in an order for the sweet potato poutine, and while fantastic, my partner and I both commented that we wished there was more of a layering effort for the poutine in order to have the toppings more spread out instead of just on top. I got the espresso bourbon glazed filet, from the seasonal menu, my partner got the lobster grilled cheese with a side of the 6 cheese Mac and cheese, because that was the other item they really wanted to try, so it was a fantastic option to have as part of the premium sides. my filet was fantastic, I was super pleased with the temperature of my steak, as well as the flavors present, and the sides were cooked to perfection. My partner's lobster grilled cheese was great as well, it was disappearing so quickly I had to remind them to let me have a bite (they had stolen a bite of my filet as well... fair's fair, right?). I can also see why the 6 cheese Mac and cheese continues to be a crowd favorite, as the many cheeses used are well balanced to pack a lot of flavor. We visited on a fairly cold day, so though the outside had some heaters on, no one appeared to be sitting out there until the entire dining room was full, and quite a few came inside to stand at the bar and "warm up" for a few minutes, which was understandable. Service was top notch, food was delicious, and ambiance was exactly what I wanted out of a good gastropub. Can't wait to return

Let's get right to the chorus, er, review... I took a day drive to Clermont to do some business. At noon, feeling that familiar grumbling in my tum it was time to find a cure. Under the iconic Citrus Tower is where I found Uncle Kenny's! This place IS the real deal! If that wonderful oaky smoky smell doesn't lure you in, then the succulent sweetness on the breeze will. I LOVE it! I was greeted and treated to a seat by Pam. She immediately took my drink order and made a few recommendations. As soon as she said "Ri" I was sure of what I wanted, but I listened happily as the rest of her words were uttered. "Ribs", she said. I wholeheartedly agreed! Don't you just love that mouthwatering anticipation feeling as you sit patiently, waiting for your first glimpse of YOUR plateful of plenty? OH! how rewarding it was, as Pam slid MY ration of ribs into place! Opting for just a half slab, sizzling before me were 3 succulent looking mighty fine pieces of meat. My fingers trembled slightly as my first bite was imminent. Drawing closer, a bouquet of fire and smoke curly swirled about me as I inhaled the scents.. One word. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I gazed in wide wonder at the joy I had found! (Thanks Mr. Thorogood! AND now Uncle Kenny!) I 'thorough'ly enjoyed each and every bite. Indeed. After savoring the sauces and succulence of my menu selection, I was treated to a 'tour' of the place. That's when I learned Uncle Kenny's has a downstairs area! Downstairs! In Florida. It was there, amongst the additional seating and back stage kitchen areas that I met the proud namesake of this quintessential 'Q' joint. I met Uncle Kenny himself! We talked like we'd known each other for years. I learned some of his backstory. His years of competition BBQ and some of his inspirations. Uncle Kenny asked IF I'd tried the 'Dirty Rib'? I had not. He went on to explain that it is kind of an off menu item but it is listed in a few places. It's a deep fried rib with a special sauce applied generously. Uncle Kenny took me to the front by the kitchen and got me a sample Dirty Rib to try. How cool is that? Let me tell you what! Deep Fried Rib? That process locks in a lot of moisture giving this Dirty Rib a great texture and an easy bite! It was a magical thing. Back to the song. I'm here to tell ya that Uncle Kenny's is B-B-B-B-Bad to the Bone!
