What a charming little restaurant in downtown Clermont! We were in town for Thanksgiving with family and they wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday early...and we requested a steakhouse! We had a dinner reservation for the night before Thanksgiving and for a good bit of our meal, we were the only ones there - but it did start filling up a bit throughout the night! We were six adults and service was fantastic. My husband opted for a one of their steaks, as well as the macaroni and cheese; he also started with the lobster bisque which is poured tableside and was literally so good - not too heavy on the cream and full of lobster and flavor. I started with the tomato heirloom salad - it was so unique and fun; from the charred lettuce, to the pesto flavor, to the fresh heirloom tomatoes and cheese - I really did enjoy this light way to start the meal. Then, I opted for the scallop dish - which was good! I didn't love the candied orange bits that were used for garnish, but did enjoy the rest of the meal! For his dessert, they brought out an odd dessert - it was like a lava cake...but with strawberries, caramel sauce, and topped with cotton candy? Haha, we all enjoyed trying it and all enjoyed different parts of it - but as a whole dish, it was a bit of a strange concept. We chose this local restaurant for our one-year wedding anniversary because we wanted to try something different and support a local spot. The ambiance and music were really enjoyable and made for a nice atmosphere. The lobster mac and cheese and shrimp cocktail were both great and definitely the highlights of the meal. They were out of mashed potatoes and offered a baked potato instead, which was fine, but felt a bit underwhelming for the type of dining experience and price point. Unfortunately, the tomahawk steak was a major disappointment. While the center was cooked okay, the steak arrived only lukewarm, which made it seem like it may have been cooked too early and sat before being served. On top of that, the exterior was so heavily charred that every bite tasted burnt and completely overpowered the flavor of the meat. For a steak at this price point, that level of quality was really disappointing. What made the experience worse was the confusion over pricing. Since the tomahawk was listed at market price, we specifically asked beforehand and were quoted $125 by our server. When the bill came, we were charged $175. After my husband questioned it, the explanation became unclear, and we were ultimately told $125 was the correct price and the bill was adjusted. Had we not spoken up, we would have been overcharged by $50. We really wanted to love this place for a special occasion and appreciate supporting local businesses, but overall the experience ended up being just okay. read more

I will say, our server was very nice and I got a really good drink here. I will also say the crab cake was good and the steak, while expensive, was tender and well seasoned. Unfortunately, the brussels sprouts and carrots were completely uncooked, like inedible uncooked. Also, the scallops came out cold and didn't really have a sear on them at all. I really wanted to like this place. The bread and butter were the highlight of my meal. I found the plate to be odd with tons are garnishes that seemed out of place. The steak was very salty and the lobster Mac and cheese had no flavor. Needs to be improved for the price. What a delightful place. I had the opportunity to try them out for brunch and they were so kind. First I enjoyed the water and the option to choose between cucumber,lemon, and lime slices for it. Bottomless mimosa option. Clean bathroom. And white cloth service. I had steak and eggs for my meal and everything was cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the peppers which tasted like a dash of curry was in it. While there time flew by and we watched a couple come in 5 min before brunch close and they didn't turn them away and still provided the couple great service. Everything from the sourdough bread to the lobster bisque was delicious. The lobster bisque was a bit spicy but tasty. The crab app was not spicy and plentiful and no celery. The octopus was a bit over charred but also good. The fennel threw me off but the olives and truffle sauce made up for it. The beef carpaccio was solid. The apps came out faster than our drinks which was surprising. We went downstairs to the speakeasy which closes at 11 and it smelled like the bathroom. First time for us to Crafted. Loved the look, lighting and atmosphere of the place. Our waitress, Jen, was great. Martini and Smokey Old Fashioned were both good. When we ordered our meals, we started with a Caesar salad that we shared and a glass of wine. Steak was fine. Salmon was served cold, still a little frozen ... so it went back. Because of that problem with the salmon, Jen comped our wines which was very kind of her. The salmon never did appear again so we finally canceled it and she took that off the bill, as well. If we return, it will be just to have a drink at the bar and then move elsewhere to eat. read more

Amazing gem of a restaurant in Claremont! We booked dinner here for a family member's birthday and everything was delicious! When we arrived, we were escorted to a gorgeous table in the center of the restaurant beautifully set for our party. The host was incredibly gracious when I requested a large booth instead to avoid the need for high chairs. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables, and even a few dining rooms. Once we were seated our server arrived and was so welcoming and just downright wonderful. I feel guilty now for not remembering her name, but that's what happens when I don't write my review right away! She helped guide us through the menu and offered a number of specials, one of which we ordered. My scallops and risotto were perfectly seasoned and just the right portion, and my in-laws loved their shared tomahawk for two. My husband loved his filet, and the restaurant was so gracious to send a beautiful desert on the house to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. They do not have a dedicated kids menu, but there are a few kid friendly options on the menu like the side of mac and cheese, which was a big hit. All in all we had a wonderful experience at Crafted and we will definitely come back the next time we're in Florida. read more

Second time visiting Crafted and like the first visit.....My Compliments to the Chef! To begin by the Beautiful chandeliers that hang in the dining room to the attention to customer service, No matter what you order you will not be disappointed. All our plates were Beautifully presented but not only that, THEY WERE ALL DELICIOUS. From the beautiful wedge salad to the Beautifully and Delicious presented smoked chicken, the perfectly cooked and Delicious lamb to the tender fillet, it was really hard to pick a favorite! What a fabulous upscale dining experience here in our little paradise of Clermont! Ambiance was stunning. Live Jazz tonight was dreamy and really enhanced the vibe. A group of us went to Crafted. Noticed not a lot of people there but was happy we might get good service. The Ambiance was on the back porch, the night was beautiful, so this was very nice. The service was good, however, not accommodating when a problem arises. I should have known better, when a restaurant is a Steakhouse order a beef product. Several of us ordered Salmon & the medley of vegetables, all received Snapper. I sent mine back, much later my salmon came out with a crust of seasoning and extremely well done/dry. I sent back. The third time the Salmon arrived, was editable however the vegetable medley was left over broccoli, cauliflower and fresh snow peas. The broccoli and cauliflower was mushy and terrible. Another person did order Snapper and he received a dried up slender piece Snapper & vegetable medley $38 after my 3 time waiting for my meal and after everyone had eaten. He was though the first to get his bill $72, mine was $48. The only good thing was the wise ones who ordered the Crap soup!!!! That was outstanding. We were never treated correctly after such a screw up and entire meal to get it was over 3 hours. Save your money, and look at all reviews before going here. read more

We stopped in around opening on a Wednesday afternoon. We sat at the bar area and had great service. We learned that they used to be a bbq place but were thankful to learn that they had recently changed branding to a fine dining restaurant. They were just opening so naturally, it was pretty slow. A few others trickled in through our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to be delivered water with a big platter of fresh fruit of our choosing to put in our water. The martinis and wine we ordered were very good. For dinner, I ordered the scallops over pea risotto- the scallops were perfectly cooked and everything was really flavorful. My friend ordered the filet and that was awesome also. For the sides, we ordered the roasted potatoes and Mac and cheese. Both were really good, although the Mac and cheese was a tad too liquidy for my taste. I'd still order it again. I would definitely return and highly recommend to others. read more

My wife and I visited this place for a birthday. Nice ambiance. The French onion soup, bread, and shrimp cocktail were very good. The rest of the meal fell off of the cliff. The lobster bisque consisted of one chewy piece of lobster served in the bowl with a server pouring the bisque over it in a separate operation. The Penne alla Vodka was luke warm at service with the pasta being several minutes short of al dente. Now comes the false advertising. The PRIME Ribeye as well as all of the cuts of their meats displayed on their website are billed as PRIME. However, when you get the menu the word PRIME has been removed and if you are not paying attention, like I was not, you end up paying $60 for a cut of meat you could have gotten at Texas Roadhouse for less than half that number. Complaints about the food quality and false advertisement knocked 25% off of the bill to $193. Do yourself a favor and drive past Crafted to a real steakhouse. read more

A must! My mom and I went on Saturday during their brunch menu. It was HEAVENLY! I had the caprese salad for $15 with burrata, heirloom tomatoes and EVO. My mom had their smoked salmon for $17, which if I am being honest could have probably fed two people comfortably. I think it was some of the best salmon I have had. We will definitely be coming back! The service was impeccable. I don't think our glasses were ever more than half empty. read more

We arrived about 40 minutes before our reservation to enjoy drinks at the bar. Given it was a busy Saturday night in December, we were patient as we navigated service delays. The bartender who assisted us was unfamiliar with the beer options, noting it was only his fourth week. After explaining our beverage preferences, we placed a pre-dinner order that included wine, beer, and bourbon for seven people. We were seated about 30 minutes later at a round table with a chandelier and live music, which was lovely. Our waiter, James, introduced himself and said he would be taking care of us, but noted he had two other tables. The service pace was slow: appetizers were ordered 25 minutes after seating, and another 25 minutes elapsed before the appetizers arrived, at which point we still had our menus and yet to finalize dinner choices. Bread was served, but dinner selections were not yet made. Three items we requested were not available (two Wagyu steaks and crab legs). Dinner arrived 35 minutes after ordering. Please keep in mind our appetizer plates and menus were still on the table. While the steak was cooked to our liking, it was extremely salty, and side dishes were mediocre. We were celebrating a birthday and requested dessert menus; after a long wait, the server announced, very loudly, that "the chef has 86'ed the 3 soufflés we ordered." We were left unsure what "86'ed" meant, which added to the confusion and disappointment. Overall, the experience was far below our expectations, and we do not plan to return. read more

Dined at the bar on Halloween and everything was great. Restaurant was decorated in a very classy way with a masquerade theme. Live music was tasteful and service was on point. We ordered the lobster bisque, carpaccio and scallop entree. All were well made, presentation was beautiful and flavor impeccable. The only (very minor) "complaints" would be that we like a harder sear on our scallops for a crust, my husband would like a better variety of beer to choose from, and one of the servers looked extremely unprofessional because he was wearing a beanie and had large headphones hanging around his neck. Could have been a Halloween costume I guess but all other servers were dressed in all black with masks for the masquerade theme so it didn't make sense. Otherwise, great experience and we will be back for TWO bowls of the lobster bisque. Prices are a little higher than what we are used to in Clermont but we don't mind paying a little more for high quality food. read more

Steak was burnt and charred to all hell, tasted as if they scraped the char off the stove ontop of our steak and topped it off with a bottle of salt. I wanted this place to be good but couldn't meet any expectations. I at least thought maybe it'd be a place for some drinks, but tasted like straight liquor. A brand new and well needed steakhouse in Downtown Clermont. I have been there 3 times and each time has been an extraordinary experience. I'm a frequent customer at Kreiss Steakhouse or Eddie V's. Not anymore. Why drive 30 to 45 minutes for a top tier Angus steakhouse when you can get it at Crafted Steakhouse. From the moment you walk in with the hostess, the bartenders, the servers and even the Chef...all around great service. Best part...they recently added a Speakeasy to the Restuarant for an early drink before dinner or after dinner drink with lounge music. A plus business. read more

Could take or leave the banana Foster's crepe. I seriously don't think she has ever worked in restaurant before and def not a fine dining one it was clear. Crumbs all over but used the crumebe at dessert. Very odd. Had to ask for water refill. And saw her just standing in corner doing nothing or polishjng a glass. Would Not go again for while caz of service and timing fo the food was terrible. Perhaps partly kitchen and service for that. Now prices are ok but a little bit high for what it is but not bad for food but for wine not good. 21$ for house wine. to visit now again for sure but menu need to rotate and price point needs to be reviewed and meet the client in local area.
