We stopped in while out-in-about at the Winter Garden Music Festival. If you're not looking for this place you could easily pass it as the entrance is off of an alley connected to Plant Street. There is an elevator that will take you to the second floor and the entrance to Pilars Martini & Loft is right in front of you when you exit. There are also restrooms available and medium sized air-conditioned lobby where you can take calls if Pilars has live music inside. Pilars is an upscale lounge and music club. When we arrived, the live entertainment was setting up for later that evening. It was actually nice having the calm contrast to what was happening in the streets currently. Food here seems fairly high-end; it's Market-to-table so everything is a bit pricy. Appetizers start at $14, one of their most expensive appetizers is Seared Foie Gras ($26). If you're not a big spender, they do have Chicken Wings or BBQ Short Rib Sliders for $14, and a Market Burger for $16. If you're looking for something a little more special, they have Filet Mignon ($86), Lamb Shank ($42), Braised Beef Short Ribs ($46), and Iberico Pork ($76). Most of their specialty drinks will run you between $12-$14. Beers are between $6-$9 and non-alcoholic drinks anywhere between $2.50-$8. We didn't stay too long because we were bopping around checking out different places during the festival, but if you are looking for a great place to take a date or have a nice evening out with friends, listening to great live music and Jazz this is a premier spot in the Winter Garden area. read more

We had never stopped here before and decided to have a couple of drinks after dinner to celebrate. As it was a weeknight, we were able to find seats at the bar fairly quickly, but the location was definitely busy. They have a very large selection of beverages to choose from. I started with the uncle Kate and I will certainly be going back for it! It's like having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in liquid form. I had the spank monkey which definitely has more spice to it but very similar in nature with peanut butter whiskey. My husband got a pour of the Yamazaki Japanese whiskey - 12yr. It was super smooth and great pour size! He switched to beer after that and got their amber ale, which he really enjoyed. While the drinks were absolutely amazing truly what made the experience remarkable and will have us going back was the bartender. Tracy was incredibly friendly and didn't miss a beat. I really enjoyed going up to Pilar's. They have outstanding martinis, and the selection is wide. They also have a massive selection of high-end whiskeys and scotches.. I ordered the mussels appetizer and it was delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating. They also had a live band that contain some of the best musicians in the Orlando area.! This place has become a beloved spot for libations, loquacious conversations, and lost time (in the best way possible). Whether you head in for the music upstairs or just handing around the bar downstairs you'll have a great time. The drinks are very skillfully made are damn delicious - my go-to is a Tito's dirty with blue cheese polices. Their aperol spritz is also a great choice. The food that's available comes from their sister business, Market to Table, so you're assured to have quality eats to pair with your drinks. All of the staff are excellent, and I most often end up ordering from Brian & Gina. While I am very much a regular here I have only been upstairs a small handful of times, once for open mic night and once to see the 501 Band (will definitely be back to watch them again!). Disappointing Experience for a Birthday Celebration I chose Pilar's to celebrate my birthday because it seemed like a unique spot offering live music, food, and drinks, with events happening until midnight, according to what I saw online. Since my friends and I could only meet around 9-9:30 PM due to work, I thought it would be a great option. When I arrived, I walked into what seemed to be just a bar--no live music, no sign of the ambiance I had seen online. I had to ask someone at the bar, and only then was I told that the venue is divided into two parts and that I had to go upstairs for the live music area. Upstairs, I sat down and began looking at the food menu. Shortly after, a staff member approached and told me the kitchen was already closed, but since I seemed interested in the food, he'd let me know. I was surprised and disappointed, as this information wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website, and we hadn't eaten yet. I waited about 30 minutes for someone to come to the table so we could order drinks, but no one did. I finally went to the bar myself, and the bartender said, "You must be new here," and explained that they don't offer table service. Guests are expected to order at the bar, carry their own drinks, and return the glasses afterward. I found this very poor service, especially for a place that advertises itself as an experience. To make matters worse, right after I ordered drinks, I was told the upstairs section was closing and we had to go downstairs--right as the music show ended at 10 PM. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing night. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. I didn't enjoy the dynamic at all, and I wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience. read more

Super cute place. Delicious and unusual hand crafted martinis at a typical price ($12-$14). The espresso martini had actual espresso which is a rare find these days. I felt super bad because on a beautiful Saturday afternoon they had ONE bartender working when there is the popular farmers market happening outside. The line was 2-3 deep and the owner just sat there and never offered to help in ANY way...well except for the time he got himself a beer. I suppose that was him helping. The bartender should be given a huge raise for his demeanor and not treated in such a horrible way. The owner just sitting there watching his bartender sink in the weeds, its no way to run an establishment and expect customers to appreciate you. Lost 2 stars because of the owner :( read more

The martini menu is extensive and the skilled bartenders are such a delight. Ask for a recommendation and they will offer up their expertise. The only recommendation I have for this bar is to station 1 person closer to the front or outside just making these specialty martinis with the torches. We came here with the idea to just grab a drink or two and then head to the restaurant which we actually came here for. But in a funny way of receiving a blessing in disguise the restaurant that we came for is actually in partnership with this restaurant. So we're able to order the same food from that restaurant and have it brought over to this one. It was great, what a beautiful Way for two organizations to use each other's strengths for each other. We got everything we wanted as far as the food we desired. And I must say at Pilars, The bartenders are very talkative/open/attentive and I do appreciate that about bartenders in general. So after we ate, they told us about their upstairs part that does jazz music, so we went upstairs and we listen to jazz music and had a few more drinks before deciding to leave. The drinks were delicious as well. My only problem with this establishment is the chicken wings we had, the chicken wings were average. What I should've done was ask them to fry the chicken wings hard and crispy and put the sauce at the side. The sauce was just average to me at best and the chicken wings weren't the best tasting. Everything else however was pretty good to park and it's really nice to just relax on a Friday night and enjoy some jazz music so I will come back again for that purpose. read more

Pilars Martini Bar is a great local spot in downtown Winter Garden. We stopped by on a Saturday evening after having dinner nearby. We sat at the bar and the bartenders greeted us quickly. We were looking at the menu online and they gave us a printed menu after we told them it was our first time in. It was much easier to read all the drink options on the laminated menus. I typically enjoy a dirty vodka martini and don't really like fruity drinks but wanted to try something different. Tracey suggested the Cucumber Cosmo and I'm glad she did. It was tasty, crisp, and easy to sip on. My husband had the West Orange Crush. It was fresh and balanced & he enjoyed it. The bartenders were very friendly and told us about the events they have throughout the week. They told us there was live music upstairs in the loft so we decided to head up there. The loft is a really chill spot with a diverse crowd and the music was great. It was an awesome date night. The service upstairs was great too. Really, the only reason I visit Pilars Martini is to attend the quarterly whiskey tasting hosted by The Central Florida Malt Whisky Cabinet. Our them every December is the Repeal of Prohibition. To commemorate, all of the whiskeys were Single Malts from Scotland! My wife took a drive out with me; and, camped out on a chair in the lobby area, as all of the tables and most of the bar was occupied by the event attendees. I was able to get a snifter of Goose Island's Bourbon County Imperial Stout. I have a few bottles at home; but, Pilars does a great job with the pour. My wife had ordered a strawberry-infused Gin drink; but, they were out of the infusion, so the bartender quickly muddled some gin and fresh strawberries, which she enjoyed very much. I tipped a ridiculous amount for the extra effort; but, I wanted to show our appreciation. I am sorry to say this may be my last event for a while; but, that's due more to my health than it is to anything going on at Pilars and the Central Florida Malt Whisky Cabinet. read more

The sing-along evening on Thursdays is something to look forward to. Ambiance is fine.... but the tables are too cramped together it becomes uncomfortable. This is true particularly when you need to go to/from bathroom, getting a drink or you're leaving. Hopefully also, they get new volunteer singers. So after an ok dinner the girlfriend and I needed a drink from a local watering hole so like always we came to pilars to get some drinks . On a Wednesday night it wasn't busy so getting a drinks didn't take long at all, I got a bloody Mary cause it's a drink I'm hooked on for the moment lol and the gf got her a Moscato and like always the are delicious and even though we haven't tried the food here the cost of the drinks isn't too bad. Although I wouldn't recommend using the bathroom up stairs to which the only way to get to the are either the stairs or the elevator .... I would recommend the elevator cause the doors to the stares are usually locked . I love coming here cause the inside is amazing but they also have a nice outside lounge area if it gets a little crowded or warm. Im giving them 4 and I totally recommend coming to pilars with out a doubt. read more
