Absolutely love the table! One of my favorite go-to spots. While I always to take a picture of their burger, I have to share that it's a must try. The best pairings for the burger would have to be their French fries - I don't know how they make the outside so crunchy but the inside so soft - but I'm glad they do. Can't go wrong with a nice thick cut. I'm not the biggest fan of kale, but the kale Caesar salad is amazing here. I've had it with chicken before and I've had it with fish as well. You really cannot go wrong. The kale really gives the classic Caesar salad a nice twist, a touch of bitterness that I didn't realize I'd like but find my self comparing to other places. Their ceviche is also really great, made with rock cod. I have found that whenever I order fish here it's always really good however nothing compares to their Chilean Seabass. I'm honestly also a really big fan of their tomato soup with the twist to the grilled cheese that comes with it. Service care can be both fast and slow, so make sure you plan ahead to make reservations. They do take walk-ins but this place is so popular. It's just nice to call ahead or come in earlier, put your name on the list and take a walk down the street. This place is super casual. You can sit inside or outside. First off the service was fantastic. Our server was Erica and she was extremely knowledgeable on the entire menu (that can change daily as the do fresh and local as much as possible. The food was very good. We had 2 starters and 3 entries for the 4 of us. It was plenty of food. Starters were Mussels and Toast (just the right amount of spice), Yellow tail crudo. The dinners were Linguini and mushrooms in a beautiful white sauce. Seared duck breast (off the hook good!) & a special meat plate that they were doing wtih ribs and sausage. Overall (5/5): I've been to this restaurant a handful of times and it really is one of the must go to spots for brunch in the area. However, this review is for their dinner specifically. The Table is definitely a great place to eat with friends with a great casual atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. The food is also a great, and it's almost hard to pick something that isn't enjoyable on the menu. Highly recommend giving this place a shot! Ambiance (5/5): The indoor space is bright, and cozy feeling with lots of wood + a few red accent pieces. It's got a very casual feel, yet it achieves a slight upscale presence at the same time. The place is popular so it's quite busy most of the time, and I am a big fan of seeing the entire restaurant conversing and catching up while eating. The outdoor space is naturally not as decorated as the interior but is good in its own and has some serious heaters installed. The place definitely has its own identity. Service (5/5): Have yet to have bad service from The Table. Servers check in on you and almost always have recommendations ready for customers who are unsure of what to pick. They are a friendly bunch and I have nothing bad to say. Food (4.5/5): Acme bread with olive oil and ricotta (3/5): A starter that didn't particularly stand out but it was provided for free. Kudos to them as it tasted freshly made but the ricotta and olive oil was a bit too bland. Could maybe use a little bit of salt or something to give it some lift Tuna tataki (5/5): This dish is packed with flavor from the ponzu sauce. It's got some slight heat to it but it's far from what I would call spicy. The grapefruit/fennel salad was also a welcomed addition to the dish and we ate pretty much everything off the plate. I personally would order it again Bolognese (5/5): The Tables version of the bolognese leans much more on the creamy and rich side than the acidic side. The pasta that they use also grabs the meaty sauce quite well and I didn't find myself needing to scoop the sauce with a spoon. Flavor wise, it's one of the better bolognese I've had for sure and would recommend it if you're a fan of bolognese. Squid ink pasta (4/5): We were told while ordering that they didn't have squid ink pasta available and that they would substitute with linguine instead. There was no calamari either. We ordered it anyway and it was still delicious. The sauce had the right amount of acidity to balance out the dish. There was plenty of seafood as well (although the prawns were a tad bit over). I definitely would order this again, and hopefully the ingredients are complete next time. Pistachio cake (4/5): The plating on this dish was great, and it aesthetically looked delicious. The cake itself had a subtle sweetness and it was nicely contrasted with the (lemon?) sauce + strawberry. However, the sauce was a bit too sour and the strawberries were too tart and potentially not ripe enough. Would be good to see the strawberries treated with some sugar. The crumble with the vanilla ice cream added an extra dimensions of temperature and texture. This was a nice way to end the meal. Smores cake (3.5/5): Although the chocolate cake layer was moist, the marshmallow fluff layer had already hardened when it was served. I went out with my friends for brunch on a Sunday right when it opened up. Parking is limited in the back, so come early to snag a spot! It was not busy at first but later filled up once brunch time hit. The inside was nice and lively, I loved the decor. Pros and cons. Pros: the server was nice and attentive. 4 stars for her. The kids ordered drinks to try; the horchata was yummy and the orange cream soda came in a cool can (with a glass of ice to pour into). Most of the flavors we very enjoyable. The scallops and ahi were really tasty! But that leads into the cons: Cons: The scallop risotto came with 3 scallops. For the price we were expecting more. The ahi bowl, while had amazing flavor, was half salad with minimal ahi. Continuing the pattern, we bought the "bread service." It came with 2 balls of a soft cheese (yum!) but only 3 small pieces of bread. Not enough bread to accommodate the amount of cheese (and the five of us had to cut the small pieces in half. We could have ordered another at that point, but then we would be paying over $10 for a bread service). The burgers were charred on the outside. Which is a preference thing. But we aren't a fan of the burnt flavor. The pot pie meat was chewy. And by our 7 pm reservation time, they were out of both beef items on the menu. Overall we give it 3 stars. I should have known it was going to be rough when I walked in. No crowds of people waiting - figured I'd be noticed immediately. There was a server closing out a bill behind the host stand and some other staff floating around. No one acknowledged or flagged a host. After standing there for minutes the host didn't instill any confidence and another host came over to assist. I asked for an outdoor table and was told it would be a few minutes - no problem. No one took my name or anything (that's how quiet it was). While waiting they seated another party outside. Once seated the service was sloooow. I ordered a frittata and it wasn't it. Very bland, not a lot of texture and very oily/buttery. In the end, it was overpriced for brunch. The kicker was a 3% credit card fee that was added to our bill when we paid. I was blown away that there weren't any signs or verbal confirmation of the fee. Talk about taking advantage of a captive audience that was already waiting to leave. read more

Decided to try out the Table for my best friend's birthday brunch and it did not disappoint! For parking, there's a parking lot by the restaurant on the side with a short walk to the restaurant. We booked a reservation and didn't have to wait to long for our table to be clear and ready. We got the bottom mimosas to celebrate and I was surprised at how cheap it was- only $15 dollars! Other places would have been more expensive so, that's a plus. We ended up ordering the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Duck Liver Mousse, and the Chicken Fried Pork Steak. Smoked Salmon Benedict (4/5)- Tasted rich, savory. The eggs were perfectly poached and the sauce was to die for. I really liked how the hash browns were super crispy. Loved my dish! Chicken Fried Pork Steak (4/5)- Chicken was tender and the gravy complimented the dish so well. Portions were huge and hash browns were crispy too. Duck liver Mousse (4/5)- I wish the portions were a bit bigger for the price. It had tons of flavor and I liked how dried fruits came with it. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the table. I always drive by this location when I go to my partner's salon Kayla Nails in Willow Glen. It's always busy and buzzing here! Decided to meet a new girlfriend here for some brunch and mimosas. The vibes here were lovely. Buzzing with joy and good vibes on a Saturday noon. The waiter was nice. We got bottomless mimosas. I ordered their salmon Benedict and she got their avocado crab toast. I enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. It was a good balance of bubbles and orange juice. I drank an adequate amount to where I felt tipsy so that was good. It's worth the buck. There is also street parking available and a one way lot behind the restaurant. The seating options were very nice both inside and outside. My party of 5 opted for the outdoor seating which had ample shade at around 10am without a reservation. I've never had such great service here. It was a busy weekend morning but the staff were all so attentive and helpful. My group ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, the Reuben, the daily special of squid ink pasta ($30), a BLT, and the fried chicken steak. We also got several of their unique drink options such as the ube tea. I personally had mixed opinions about the pasta. I felt that the noodles were too soft and not al dente, the variety of seafood (eg entire octopus tentacle) was delicious but I was not a fan of the sauce which came off as a bit bland. The Reuben was really solid and I could tell they used high quality ingredients for all their dishes. Would definitely come back with my family. Excited to try other items on their menu. We're new to the area and had never been to Willow Creek before, but it's a really charming town with a Main Street that gives off strong WASP-y vibes--think candle-making shops, farmers markets with local honey, and plenty of moms in yoga pants. We wanted a late brunch with our puppy on Saturday and came across The Table, so we decided to give it a try. Parking was easy to find in a lot along Main Street. We had a reservation and were seated on their patio, which was aesthetically very cute, with a fun, large vintage sign out front. Our server was attentive at first but dropped off toward the end of the meal, with our check taking over 20 minutes to arrive. As for the food, while we enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu selections, the execution was hit or miss. My poached egg was fully cooked through--either prepared incorrectly or left sitting in the window too long. We had ordered four dishes and said they could come out as they were ready. I was most excited about the Ortiz sardine tartine since I've been on a sardine kick lately, but the dish didn't quite come together. The flavors felt disjointed, with pickled onions overpowering everything and random cucumber disks and a halved tomato that didn't add much. The dish I was most looking forward to--the duck liver mousse--was unfortunately a disappointment. I love duck liver mousse, but here it was paired with an overly sweet compote and sauce, both plated right in the center, making it impossible to avoid. On the bright side, my husband's ceviche was excellent and looked great when it came out. Drinks were a highlight. I had the milk punch and liked it so much I ordered another. My husband's cocktails were also well-executed, and we appreciated the selection of dessert wines. The menu reads really well, and it's clear they put thought into their beverage program. We finished with coffees, which were good, and our puppy had a grilled chicken breast--easily the biggest portion of chicken I've ever seen served as a dog-friendly option. The staff was really accommodating about having him there, which we appreciated. Overall, we'd come back to try other items. The setting is lovely, the prices are reasonable, and the drinks are fantastic. We'll just stick to more straightforward dishes next time. read more

I've never been here before but this is where my son wanted to go for his birthday. Very nice inside with a chill relaxed vibe. No one is rushing around going crazy to handle the customers. The waitstaff was excellent! The food amazing...we ordered 2 apps the fig and pear salad and brussel sprouts. Steaks as the entree with turnips carrots and 3 onion rings. Great ambiance but sit with the window to your back so you don't get the sun in your eyes. The special birria omelette was good. Birria sauce inside and across the top. It had a good flavor. The avocado toast needed the trout roe for flavor. I normally don't add hot sauce to my eggs but this dish needed a touch more. The menu has a lot of interesting options (seafood squid ink pasta anyone?) as well as their own take on classics. The pork and veal meatball is memorable. The steak tartar with avocado and quail egg definitely worth coming back for. Everything I tried was delicious. The service is excellent and our waiter was eager to please. I like the wide open spacing as you get a level of quiet and privacy you don't see very often. For a party of 2, we were able to get seating right away (mind you it was on a super-bowl Sunday), but you should generally make reservations ahead of time. We ordered there bottomless mimosas which were good. And the waitress constantly checked in on us and topped off our drinks (which we love). I asked for caramelized onions on my hash-browns (it seems like they only put a pinch of caramelized onions, I wish they put more). The chicken fried steak with the gravy is absolutely delicious. Good quality restaurant! It's always busy here I finally got to try them. Had the cheese board appetizer and the chicken schnitzel. It came with sliced green apples and was a variation on the schnitzel. Also tried the scallops with ravioli a lot of flavor. Very nice service and plenty of seating inside and outside. Great place to hang out for a meal or a drink. My only criticism is that the portions are small so plan on getting some appetizer or side dishes. read more

I think what holds this place back from being a better brunch place are the disappointing entrees. Some were better than others. Notably, the crab toast was missing much of the key component-- crab! It was mostly some scrambled eggs on a single piece of thin bread topped with arugula and two sad pieces of crab meat for nearly $30. The pomegranate soda was god awful sour. The Reuben tasted good but the pastrami was not rendered and trimmed properly and had way too much fat in it. Place has potential as it's in a nice busy area and has both indoor and outdoor seating, but in my opinion does not meet my brunch expectations. read more

Let's talk redemption. I'm giving The Table three (and a half) stars due to past experiences where I felt the service (particularly at the bar) and food (specifically "The Only Burger That Belongs on the Table" and the fried chicken sandwich) were extremely disappointing. So much so, that my husband and I, who live within walking distance, decided we would never go there again. Here's where the redemption comes in. My sister was in town and wanted to give The Table a try. I reluctantly agreed and we went there for lunch. My sister ordered the Reuben and my mom ordered the Chicago Steak Sandwich. The Reuben was awesome! The pastrami was lean and packed with flavor. It was a deliciously balanced sandwich. My mom's Chicago Steak Sandwich was a wonderfully elevated "French Dip" with the gardiniera adding a nice briney twist. Foolishly I ordered a simple green salad which was nicely dressed and tasty. I was just disappointed that I didn't order a delicious sandwich instead. Some people next to us had ordered the burger, and it looked so much better than when I had last tried it. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and very attentive (something the bartenders should take note of) With all of that said, I went home and told my husband that we needed to give The Table a second chance.
