We enjoyed a very good meal on a very busy day of the year.... Fathers Day. Reservations were running behind by the time our 5:30 slot came and went. but we were seated by 6 PM and the waitstaff hustled and hurried and handled everything very professionally. Our 7 oz Filet with hash browns and salad plus the Broiled Seafood Trio with French onion soup and baked potato were wonderfully prepared. I kind of missed the extras of sour cream for my potato and tartar sauce for my broiled fish, but our waitress never came to check on us after our entrees were placed before us. Just a small oversight and it did not detract from the good meals that we both enjoyed. The Steakout is a much appreciated restaurant and cocktail bar in our neighborhood. A great place for local customers.

We came here on Christmas Eve for dinner. I had booked a reservation online back in November for the five of us. We arrived early and were seated pretty quickly which was great. This place was hustling and bustling. I ordered an old fashioned and the cocktails were also had at our table, all good. My grandma was impressed with the relish tray and the bread was delicious. Our table ordered a variety of items from lemon chicken, spaghetti, silician steak, New York strip and the seafood combo. All were delicious. My only food complaint was the pasta that came with the lemon chicken. It wasn't great and I think mashed potatoes would have been a better side. Also, the table was quite cramped. It was a table with an end against the wall. Me being against the wall on the side for three people, had very little room. Plenty of room though for the side of the table with two people. Would definitely go back, in fact my mom ended up going back the following week with friends for NYE!

Wow. What a great meal. The Steakout did not disappoint. This place is a well oiled machine. The staff is super attentive and don't stop moving. The drinks are a solid pour and the food is just fantastic. Perfectly cooked to temperature and well seasoned. We started with the Garlic Cheese Focaccia Bread then went into soup & salad. For entrees, I had the bone-in rib eye and my husband had the fan favorite filet. Charred on the outside, pink on the inside. Kiss the chef! They were both perfect. For sides, we both got hash browns--one plain, one with cheese and onions. The hash browns weren't crispy but were so flavorful. A little salt & pepper made them perfect. As an add-on, we got the charred shrimp. The shrimp itself was delicious. The cocktail sauce was the only thing I found lacking. A little too pedestrian for our taste. It really tasted like ketchup with a whisper of horseradish. It needed about 10x more. That said, I'd get it again but ask for drawn butter. We closed out with a Grasshopper. So refreshing. Here at The Steakout, it isn't served with a chocolate or chocolate syrup. Unbeknownst to me, our waitress heard me say how missed the chocolate and suddenly appeared with a little cup of chocolate to pour over the drink. So awesome. It was delicious w/o it but the chocolate made it perfect for me. Can't wait to come back and experience more.

We were on vacation and swung by the Milwaukee Public Market. I'd read about St. Paul's Fish Co…read more and we were lucky to get a table for two around 5:45pm on a Tuesday without a wait. We both enjoyed a walleye fish with rice, veg, pineapple salsa and a beurre blanc sauce. Our waitress (in the Bass Pro Shop hat) was super bubbly and friendly, which added to the experience. We honestly enjoyed the meal and experience more than our anniversary dinner at a swanky 'harbor' restaurant that same week! Plus, you can't beat the price. Helpful?

The wait for a table was impossible and actually quite stressful and uncomfortable, so we settled on ordering our food to-go to sit somewhere in the main communal food hall seating. The line to the register was so long I actually was able to decide on my order pretty quickly - the fried oyster po'boy was meaty and crispy, not too overly breaded. The lobster roll meal came with fries and cole slaw for $20, which I found to be super affordable (this price is probably outdated now). A little bit too much filler but understandable and I was ok with it for the price. However, my favorite bite was the New England Clam Chowder, perfect for the rainy fall day. If I'm ever back in Milwaukee, I'd definitely try to dine in next time, but maybe not on a weekend afternoon to avoid the crowds.

It was one of the most special dining experiences we've ever had in Milwaukee. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we entered the home of an Argentinian chef. In fact, you pretty much having Chef Ana as your own personal chef, with her husband Peter also providing some exceptional hospitality. She came up to our table multiple times during the evening to chat with us and ask us how our meal was. It's pretty amazing that she is the sole chef in the restaurant and is able to prepare all the meals while also checking in with patrons regularly. The food was really good. They have two prefix options, and we went with the paella, with an appetizer, dessert and bottle of rosé. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavor. The warm staff and intimacy is something unique and different than anything else we've experienced. It's rare to find a place where you can experience both world-class cuisine and the personal touch of the people behind it. FYI, there is a price to be paid for such wonderful food and service. But for a special occasion, it's well worth the money spent and would be right up near the top of my list. Cavas is truly a hidden gem -- If you're looking for a unique dining experience, I recommend you check it out!

When we asked him to check the manufacturer label for dairy/egg, he said he "maybe could do that". That was a weird start. Our first round of orders were really disappointing. Our tempera and crab rangoons were soaked in oil and the oil tasted like it was old. We had to soak up the oil from the plate because you could see it dripping from the rangoon. The shrimp tempera was heavily breaded and super oily as well. I understand fried food is going to have a certain level of oil, but this didn't seem appetizing at all. Our Nigiri pieces came out and our fish was warm. Honestly, we mentioned something to our waiter and the response was that the rice was recently made so it was warm. That made us a bit skeptical. Overall our experience was not the best. The sushi was uneventful and didn't taste fresh. I was pretty disappointed and I rarely write a negative review. Jin's - honestly I hope you do better moving forward. This was a bummer.

Luckily the patio was open & it was great weather plus we had a 2 month old with us so could make it easier to step out. Prices are a little steep for an area like Franklin/Greendale. Probably a "nice occasion" dinner than a once a week dinner. Anything with some sort of protein is at minimum $21. I got the Fried Perch Dinner. My dad got the Prime Rib. My wife got the Tenderloin Sandwich. The Prime Rib was massive, not awfully fatty but I wouldn't pay $45 for it but that is also bc I am frugal. However, if it was a special occasion then I'd splurge for it. Dinners come with a salad or soup, bread, potato, & zucchini & squash. This is alone why I didn't get one of the salads & instead got the fried perch. This was definitely 5* to me. Cooked great, great portions, & I love zucchini. I just think the cost on the whole menu is where I dock the point. If you're okay with $26 to $30 on a dinner then this is an A+ spot with high class decor & interior. Heck, even the kid's grilled cheese looked SUPERB!!! They use the bread in the picture & we joked that we wouldn't mind ordering that when we saw a family order two of them.

When I saw the location, I thought what a idilic setting to enjoy a Friday fish fry. On this particular Friday, we elected to sat outside and maybe should have known something was up when the hostess called us brave. Seemed weird but the patio was bustling with people all appearing to be having a good time. All I'll say is the website incredibly oversells the condition and setting of the patio. Online, everything looks well manicured and on point. In reality, their patio area is a mess. Weeds, both dead and alive are a plenty. Besides a few small hanging baskets, not many actual flowers brighten the patio space. Even the planters that were displayed highlight dead flowers. Oh what this space could be with a bit more attention. With regard to food, I ordered the perch fry. The pieces were so ginormous I mistook them for cod. I was assured it was perch. The breading was delicious and the fish flavor. The fries, sprinkled with Parmesan are ok. If I come back I may stick to the inside dining room since its decor outshines the outdoor space.

The seafood is served in so many different ways. The menu is quite extensive and has some interesting and unique choices like ceviche served in a coconut. The chips and salsa were good. They had two types of salsa, a mild tomato cilantro one and a creamy spicy green jalapeno sauce. I liked both. The chips were nice and fresh. The margaritas were large and really tasty, I ordered the shrimp burrito. It was large and pretty good. It consists of a flour tortilla stuffed with a lot of well-cooked shrimp, rice, tomatoes and salad mix with red onion, lettuce and cabbage. Interesting and different, but not bad. I like the presentation with a tomato and cucumber slice on the plate. The beans were a drawback, as they were flavorless and runny. The rice was your standard Mexican fare with little peas and carrots in it. Atmosphere: This is a huge place. There are big screen tv's everywhere and a stage. I think it would be a good place for a party, We enjoyed the Mexican music with videos on the tv's. Service: Our server was good, very attentive, with the exception that we didn't get water on a 95 degree day. I would be happy to come back and try other things on the menu.

We were the 2nd group of customer there. Service was okay. Waitress was nice and informative... but demeanor changed as I corrected my order. Timing could've been a little faster, slow for the fact that there really wasn't any other customers. Food, where has anyone eaten at a Mexican restaurant that doesn't have limes (at least 1 wedge) that come with their entree??? Well, this restaurant. It was an upcharge for limes!!! Then, I ordered the Gobernador that came out with shrimp and bell peppers. I questioned to look at the menu as I remembered it stating poblano peppers with melted cheese. The waitress said "yeah, bell peppers" .... Not the same thing honey! Had them throw cheese on... if I had wanted fajitas, I would've ordered that. My enchiladas came out warm in the middle but room temp on the outer. Could it have been frozen/previously made to bake? And then the sauce was gritty to the buds. Try at your own will. I've made up my mind about returning.
