The good - Great menu with a wide variety of options. Surely something for everyone. Super unique burger options - the apple cheddar with honey mustard with SO delicious! The jalapeño bacon was good too, but loads of jalapeños, fresh and roasted, so get ready to burn your socks off. Tasty hazy IPA options. The bad - The chips and sweet potato fries came cold and soggy :( fairly clean but not clean enough. When it's not busy and tables stay unbussed, an entire onion ring lays there in a high traffic area, it's like "eek what does the kitchen look like?" The ugly - I really didn't mean to see this, but you can see the kitchen...bowls of raw meat stacked in the fry or warming zone (not sure but there was fry food under the bowls) and then to-go containers stacked on the raw meat bowls There, I said it. I mean you can't make this sh$t up. Hopefully the to-go containers were for something intentionally stacked on raw meat bowls I'm on the fence if I'd try to go again. The food was good but there's some things you can't unsee that just give me the pits...
Wow this place is good! So nice this restaurant plus on Halloween night most employees were dressed up! So cool!! Food here is amazing and staff is great! Dont wait for long lines across the street for fast food this is ten times better!
Firstly, thank you, FIONA, for taking my order and just being so kind and professional. It was my 1st time here and she was patient with me and explained a few things about how I can customize my order. FIONA also took her time to explain the app to me and their Rewards program. I signed up! When you provide your phone number send you a text message to download the app and that's how you get free fries and can earn points for other rewards! From the moment I walked outside, I was greeted by one of the employees and inside everyone is just so nice and friendly. It's super cool when you see people here calling the servers by their name and thanking them. The vibe is very nice, the music is going, TVs are on and it's a well air condition establishment! My big blue burger initially came out with no arugula or bacon, but the gentleman noticed that and brought it for me. I'm glad it didn't come with the tomatoes because I don't care form them anyway and forgot to ask that they were removed. My burger was cooked to perfection. I loved the mushrooms and blue cheese on a nice brioche bun. I'll definitely come back and get this burger and try others.
I have returned to have lunch with my daughter and Mother . We all spent quality time together and it was a pleasant visit. I order a Buffalo Chicken sandwich which was sheer perfection. My daughter ordered the same. She was the one who told me how delicious it was as she had ordered it before. I love how it's a sandwich that is not deep fried because it's grilled and healthy. The buffalo sauce was so delicious. It was spicy but not too hot. My Mom ordered a turkey burger which she said was good but not the best. She said she would be willing to come back and try other dishes on the menu. I appreciated how the staff keeps the restaurant clean also which is important. The staff were professional and friendly which added to our dining experience. A shout out to the cooks who work so hard to make the food good! I will come back here for sure!
Very disappointing experience. Raw burgers! The burgers were served raw and undercooked, which is unacceptable. The quality of the food was disappointing and I was concerned about the food safety. This experience ruined my meal and appetite. A restaurant should ensure that food is properly cooked before serving it to customers. Definitely not worth the money.
8/7/2026 - had the day off and we went there. Grabbed for the first time the chili hot dog which was excellent. Will see if I can pay for a little more chili next time. Only 10 minutes to get the food. Ordered the child's burger as well. Had little to no lettuce. Walked back and they gave us a lot. Not a big deal. Great service and food! 5 stars.
Visited with my son and daughter in law tonight. The cashier was super attentive and responded to our questions with eagerness to serve. Loved that. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day, patio is big and although it has many tables, you don't feel like you're on top of other people. Now the food - we ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, the southwestern chicken sandwich and the crispy tenders with fries they were all really good. Regular fries were delicious, crispy and recently done; however, the cheese fries didn't do it for me and the reason is that it was just a little sprinkled shredded cheese with pieces of tomato and onion so a bit weird. To end the review on a good note - the fire sauce is absolutely fantastic! I would visit again.
Stumbled into this place after my sons game. I've driven by this place I can't tell you how many times. My friend finally convinced us to give it a try. Initial entrance this place is very clean! I immediately was like ok yes. We walked up to order and the menu was overwhelming. Will is who helped us and let me tell you he was amazing!!! His energy his knowledge of the menu even his recommendations. Will himself will be the reason we return. Normally you feel rushed and feel like they want you to move the line along. We ordered about 9 things including a beer bc duh. The beer is cold here too! Also want to add jasston. She was who brought the food out and let me tell you she was attentive and so sweet! The food was of course delicious but I'm gonna be honest I'll return for the service. Thank you guys!!
Came back again, this time the food was a bit better. The restaurant was still very dirty with food under multiple tables and tables with dishes left for long periods of time, we had to hunt for a table that was actually wiped. Counter service and the person in the dining room was excellent. Friendly and attentive. This time the sweet potato fries were indeed well done! I ordered a falafel wrap- decent flavor, half of the wrap was lettuce unlike the picture. I would order this again. My husband had the jalapeno bacon burger. He was satisfied with everything but the cold bun (maybe its supposed to come this way?). We'll be back again and bus our own dishes to not contribute to the problem.
With over 800 community Yelp reviews and still climbing "The Stand" reminds me of so many great keepsakes, and souvenirs in America. Service was good, seats are comfortable inside. Plenty of T.V's. Besides the fact that they have all types of great Burgers: Chicken Breast, Turkey, Beef, Veggie, and so much more. Seeing no shortcuts here while at "The Stand". Because each one of us knows the love, and knows the taste of flavors that is in the food. So, it brings me great joy to know that this Yelp post, or Yelp review will help someone, and bless many to come an try "The Stand". Enjoy
I'd love to review in this place first open, we have been back multiple times. There hasn't been a thing yet that I haven't liked. This time around I tried the side salad regular and the chips and guacamole. Both were absolutely amazing.. You can't beat the side salad, literally it could be all you would need for lunch. So fresh!! I absolutely loved the chips and guacamole, especially with the chips that they serve it with, it was a surprise when it was delivered to the table and I love them. The inside is super cute. Has all the TVs going with sports and staff has always been super friendly. It's becoming a local hangout and I love it.
Today was my third time eating at The Stand in Santee. My wife wanted to go for her birthday. The food and service have been great every time, but today one member of the staff was super impressive. His name was Will and he seemed to truly care that we had the best experience possible. He let us know about options we may have not known, made thoughtful suggestions for our kids, and even asked if I was a veteran so we could get a discount. Will made our experience go beyond the food, which was also so tasty. Great place!
I've had about three different burgers here and they all have been great. The pickles they give you are great and with one or all the dips they have just makes it that much better. They have a good selection of beers on tap too. Service is alway good everyone is nice and will ask how to prepare the burgers and give suggestions. The one I go to is in Santee across from another burger place that everyone knows and love. There are plenty of booths, seating outside, and a bunch of high top tables so even at the busiest of times there is always somewhere to sit.

My mom gave us a coupon for a bogo entree at the stand, so we came to try it we walked in, we stood in line for only a moment before being helped. I ordered the Havarti shropm burger, but substituted the jalapeño scallion aioli with stand burger sauce and got a side of sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the French onion soup burger and fire fries. We sat at a table on their patio. There was some music playing over the speakers and a couple tv's with sports on. The food was pretty good and fresh, except my sweet potato fries were kind of floppy. We would definitely come back again and try something else. The only complaint I have is that the prices are a little high. read more

Came in for school fundraiser. Order from the counter and food is delivered to you. Place is nice and spacious and food comes out pretty quick. We got the onion burger, havati and kids meal and it was all yummy. You can also have as much dill pickle slices from the counter. They cook the burger to your liking so that's a plus. We also got sweet potato fries and onion rings Everything was really good. Can't wait to try the Stand at home along with other items on their menu. read more

This was my first time here. This is a newly open location. Now this is a great place to hang out with family and friends. As well as watch a good sports game. The noise a hair loud, but you really don't notice it. The ambiance is a casual sports restaurant. Very clean and filled with polite staff. Both server Mike, and behind the counter Jacie was so polite and on the ball. Jacie took the time to explain the menu and help with new membership. Yes I said membership. You can collect rewards point, and use them to discount and free items. I highly recommend joining. The food is prepare great. The Chimichurri Steak Salad was outstanding. A little heavy on the citrus side for me. But filled with flavor. The kids Teriyaki is a nice small portion for a child. Juice chicken, with a sweet sauce. The Miso Salmon Bowl, had a nice flavorful Salmon. That is what made the bowl. Now if you don't have sugar issues. I recommend the shakes. These are a nice sweet treat. The Stand is a family friendly burger restaurant which caters to the local community by offering American classics with its own twist. You'll find the space to be ample which is good because it draws a good amount of people around dinner on the weekends, especially when there's a padres game going. There are giant TVs on the walls so everyone can enjoy something with their meal. The staff were all friendly and very polite. They have plenty of people delivering food and helping anyone who needs something. The food came out quick and was delivered without issue. The food was ok. The burgers have some amazing toppings and combinations but the patties themselves were very underwhelming. The fries were ok but nothing too special and make sure if you get fries to ask for several of the sauces they offer because you only get a very small container of sauce ( even ketchup) in each little cup with no table ketchup to be found. The best part of the meal was by far the cookies n cream shake. That was a perfectly made shake with lots of cookies. So if you're in Santee and feeling like a good specialty shake maybe try out the Stand, if you're wanting a good burger, you're better off going across the street to In-N-Out. read more

Definitely the place to go if you're looking for a quality hamburger and a sports bar environment but also family friendly. Charles made the recommendation for a Thai tea Milkshake, something I had no clue existed. The milkshake was amazing. We had the fire fries and the green beans with the curled onions on top. I would have preferred more string beans and less onions, but it was still delicious. The prices were just right for the quality of food we got, but they also run specials all the time. It's definitely worth checking out and when you go, look for Charles. He is a Customer Service specialist! read more

Another visit to the stand. We have gone back a number of times and had a great experience each time. Tonight we each had salads. One was the kale and quinoa crunch with chicken and the other was the steak chimichurri. They were both delicious. We've also tried the green beans and absolutely love them. Service is great. When you walk in even if you think you're not gonna find a table, you always do. It's a nice comfortable place with sports playing on the TVs. read more

I've eaten here three times now. The food is always fresh. I like how creative some of the dishes are with some classics. It also has some good vegan options which is hard to find at most places. Popular chain comes to Santee, which is definitely a nice change of pace from other options in the area. Despite just opening, they've been on top of their service. So far I've been twice to this location. First time I ordered the jalapeño bacon burger, which had just the right amount of spice. I'd recommend adding a second patty if you're a big eater. On my second visit, I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was good, but a little on the smaller side. All the entrees are served individually so you'll need to order sides along with it. For the craft beer enjoyers, they have a good selection of house beers and additional options. Plenty of sitting inside and out, but you'll need to plan accordingly for larger groups. Came to The Stand with a party of 5. Ordered a few burgers (ABC and Jalapeño Bacon) and two salads (Southwest and Kale Quinoa Crunch) with sides to share. Burgers were delicious and cooked as we requested! If you're really hungry, make it a double! Especially if you don't want any sides. Highly recommend the Kale Quinoa Crunch salad, it was crisp and light. Shared a cookie butter crunch shake for dessert and it was incredible! Chocolate chip cookies were dry and not so good, but might try just one next time to be sure. Service was fast, place was clean and it was definitely kid friendly. read more

I recently checked out The Stand, a new indoor-outdoor semi-sports bar that opened in Santee, California this spring, featuring a solid beer selection on tap and several flat-screen TVs for watching games. This place has an industrial feel to it. Inside has booths and communal tables. Outdoors plenty of seating and big TVs playing sports. Plenty of parking. You walk in and order then find a seat and grab a number. Drinks is help yourself. They also have beer and wine. Price is reasonable and the amount of food is good. There are two places up in Orange County/LA area that are called Salt Creek Grill and Stone Fire Grill, is this place similar to those? (For those that know)
Do they have table service?
No. If you want to order you have to go to the counter. They will bring your order to you, but there is no table service. They bus the tables clean, but it gets VERY CUTTHROAT when it's crowded; people will grab tables before ordering.
