    BLT sandwich with french fries.

Ate here with my wife last night (7/8), The Oaks Bar & Grill is located on Carlton Oaks golf course and the patio seating overlooks the course and putting green area. Loved the ambiance of the place right off. Service was very good the entire evening, our server was attentive and food came out quickly. Food was also pretty on point. I had the BLT sandwich that came with french fries and my wife had the Cobb salad. Both were tasty and the portion was plentiful for dinner. I was considering ordering an Old Fashioned but declined due to it being $14 (this was the same price as either one of our entrees!) The other cocktails on the menu are similarly pricey. My wife did have a glass of house merlot which she enjoyed. Some things to consider is that on Yelp their hours are listed as being open until 10pm which they are not. The restaurant is open until 8pm (kitchen closes at 7:45) and the bar is open until 9pm. While the house merlot my wife had was only $6 for the glass their cocktails are very pricey. I had a diet coke which was a reasonable $3. Overall, nice place. I'm considering taking up golf again so I will most likely return since it's right on the course.

an add for this spot showed up on my Instagram feed....no clue why...i live 30 miles from here and it's not a place that I would think about going to. Ironically the house my parents lived in when i was born is a block away. But....my good friend and fellow yelper Cinna, recently moved farther East ...so i figured we should check this spot out. Ok I had something completely different in mind. When I think Country Club, I picture something closer to what I would see on TV. This is NOT television daytime drama country club. i have been to the SD country club in Chula Vista...and I've been to the lodge at Torrey Pines...very different Golf Clubs...This was closer to the style of Chula. There was a big outdoor patio and the view of the Golf Course was beautiful!!!!! Inside was half bar/half dining room (but basically one big space) It was too cold outside (even with heat lamps) so we opted for the bar with a big window view. The bar was lined with TV's displaying different sports... the clientele was all men (one woman aside from us) our server was super nice and friendly! i really liked her. we were here on a Saturday so it's the only day without any HH/specials. (which only means we need to come on a HH day) We both ordered a sandwich with a side salad (side is included) the salad was simple but fresh and so delicious! my sandwich had turkey, ham, avocado, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. All on toasted sourdough. It was something i could totally make at home, but it was delicious! I think the only improvement would be if they had put the avocado on after grilling it (so the avocado would be cold). drinks were good (not strong so don't fear). prices are reasonable. only negative is the volume of TV's and dudes all in a room that echoes. i would like to come back on a warm afternoon and enjoy the patio.

This place was great for a Sunday afternoon lunch with the kiddos. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed items from their Happy Hour menu, which is offered all day on Sunday. You don't have to be members of the country club to enjoy this place. My kids had hot dogs, fish sticks, and chicken tenders. Their meals all came with a side and drink. I chose the bbq chicken flatbread and was definitely impressed with the quality of the food. Their meatball and fried pickle appetizers were great! The price was right. Their service was friendly and fast! We will definitely come back!

Great place. Beautiful golf course view. Service could be faster. There were moments where the server kept forgetting us. Plus train staff to give menu recommendations. Asked waitress a couple times on food or drink recommendations she simply said I don't know and moved on.

Prime Rib Wednesday... Oh and the mango habanero chicken tenders are legit

Comfortable 19th Hole. Food prices on Yelp are way out of date. Brussels sprouts appetizer is $10. Good beer selection. Friendly service

(This is literally the only place I've found that has carajillos on the menu.) Brussels sprouts are crisp but not greasy. I ordered a side of gyros and got a decent-sized portion. My hubby ordered a meat-free pizza for Lent, and was still happy with it. (They have gf and cauliflower crusts too, so !) We have both decided that this is the place for pizza in Santee. The weather is perfect in the spring for outdoor dining. There are shades for privacy since the restaurant's got grocery store traffic. The throwback rock music suits the establishment, and isn't too loud if you want a good convo. There are also lots of TVs both inside and out. Today's server, Lizzy, was so amazing! Super attentive, patient with questions, and quick to offer refills. And so relaxed and cheerful for a Friday afternoon! Thanks for a really nice dining experience, Lizzy!

The NFL Wildcard game was on all the TVs, so that was a plus. We started with drinks. A pint of Buenaveza was $7, which is relatively normal pricing. But 9 bucks for a pint of Ashland Seltzer is crazy. 2 Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sliders $16 Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, house sauce and shoestring fries. They were decent, but not even remotely spicy. Chicken was cooked well with crunchy exterior and not dried out inside. Zero spice. If anything, the sauce on them was sweet. 2 Double Double Wagyu Beef Sliders $18 American cheese (subbed pepper jack), grilled onions, house sauce and shoestring fries. Inedible. Two overcooked hockey pucks in a bun. Two bites were all I could stomach. 18 bucks for burnt burgers. The fries were good and plentiful. I appreciated the pickle wedge. Service was sluggish at best. At one point we had to flag down a different server and ask to have ours return. We had been waiting, with empty drink glasses, to order our meals. She was friendly enough, just not very attentive. Nah, don't need to return.

I ended up getting the breakfast burrito without the bacon to make it vegetarian and it was sooooo good. The salsa it came with was a wonderful mild red salsa. I would definitely order this breakfast burrito again. Plus the burrito was only $12.95, that is not bad at all. I also loved that they host a lot of fun themed nights and events. This really seems like a fun place to work and attend regularly, I wish it was closer to me. The day I went all the of the staff were dressed in PJs because they had a PJ party event planned for that evening. They had indoor seating as well as an outdoor back patio. The experience overall was awesome. One thing I thought was really cool is during happy hour they spin a wheel and whatever it lands on becomes the promotion for the next 30 minutes, which keeps everyone engaged and makes it fun for the whole crowd. The bartenders were awesome too, super attentive and easy to talk to. Definitely a place I'd come back to again. Five stars all the way around,.
