So, I hate to say it, but I wasn't that impressed. I was looking forward to trying the sandwiches here, and pair it with a nice cold IPA, which I did I will say, the branded IPA is really good. Crisp, not too hoppy, but loaded with flavor. I went with the Baja beef sandwich, strips of beef, onions, and jalapeños, griddle together, and then top with cheese, loaded into a French roll. On the surface looked good, but perhaps I was needing to try one of the cold sandwiches, which I will do next time. Place was immaculately clean and has plenty of seating inside and out. Craft beer on tap and in cans and Sodas for everyone else. The decor inside definitely gives off that beach vibe which for some reason seems to make order a sandwich all that much better haha. I got the Tom's Choice which has slow-roasted beef, turkey breast, cheddar cheese, with toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, and their signature Sweet-Sour Dressing on a toasted French baguette. I absolutely demolished this monster of a sandwich!! My girlfriend got the Tub O Tuna Sandwich which has albacore tuna salad, Jack cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and onion on sweet wheat bread. I love board and brew!!! We go often, I live their food. It's ALWAYS fresh, staff is always great, the beer is cheap and good!! (Huge draw ) love people watching the local crew that hangs out seems daily. Go and try anything and I swear it will be great!! I do wish they build out larger, or move locations. It's such a popular place it's hard to get a table sometimes, and loved when they did the live music. Only real place in Santee and from someone who absolutely loves to go watch, live music, have dinner and a few drinks with people I just wish the location was larger. *I do want to note, because they are off the riverbed, and critters are around and food drips through possibly, the tables and ground get grimy, and really need to be power washed regularly under them. Small tomato slices and was given the ends. 2 positives, the wrapping was good and secured the sub par sub snug . The bread seemed fresh and overall decent, however the all important "bread to meat ratio" was way off, too bready, which made the lack of meat seem even more apparent. After the last bite I proceeded to dab my lips with the napkins provided with disappointment and a frown, I usually do a full extension of the pinky whilst dabbin away, but wasn't feelin it this time and the pinky remained in a closed position. read more

I have never had a bad experience when I have come here to buy food. The employees are always so nice and welcoming. They always give great recommendations and they always answer your questions when you don't know what something means. Everything on their menu from sandwiches, to wraps, potato salad are absolutely delicious! Their Turkado is one of my favorites and you can ask for it melted or just toasted! The sandwich is big enough to share or even save for lunch for the next day. The place is always clean and there is always plenty of seating inside or outside. I was definitely surprised by how much I end up liking my sandwich and the whole quick experience. The inside is your typical causal or fast food type. There were more two seater tables than four. I think they only had two. The place is clean and that's always an added plus. The beers were enticing but I had too many errands to run to enjoy a beer. But definitely next time. My sister and I went to get ourselves sandwiches from this place (we are Black individuals). We've been going here often and have not had any problems until today. We entered to ONLY order the Tub O' Tuna sandwich. As we entered, there was a white guy with blonde hair (tall and a bit tanned, looks to be around 17-20 years old) at the cashier. The first red flag was that he didn't even acknowledge us. He didn't greet us or look our way. He was helping a lady with the card reader (I guess her card was declining or something). We waited about a minute, and when he was done helping her and the lady left, we thought, "Okay, he's going to take our order now." But he continued to completely ignore us, catering to a couple of men at the bar. And by catering, I mean he was quite literally chatting and LAUGHING with them! It was as if we weren't waiting for him to take our order. My sister gave him the benefit of the doubt, but at this point, I was slowly getting upset. After waiting for 7 minutes (yes, 7 minutes, even though the guy was helping NOBODY), a woman came to finally take our order. She had been cleaning the doors when we walked in. I ordered the sub and then waited for our order, which she said would take 3-5 minutes. I was telling my sister about the blonde guy and how he was treating us. As we were standing by the drinks machine, the blonde guy walked over and picked up the tea dispenser to change it, still completely ignoring us. That was when I gave him a look of disbelief and annoyance. Then, the most unbelievable thing happened, which made me believe this was 100% RACISM. A white group of girls entered, and he quickly looked over, heading their way IMMEDIATELY with a smile on his face to assist them! I couldn't help but look at my sister in disbelief, as she was feeling the same way. This racist white guy immediately assisted these white girls and didn't even give my sister and me the same treatment. My sister told me to ask the woman who took our order for his name, and I was thinking of doing so to report him. After helping the group of white girls, he disappeared into the back. Not long after, the woman came out with our food. I ended up not asking for his name, and that's something I regret. I was feeling so many emotions at that time that it totally slipped past me as I struggled to understand the situation we were in. The woman who handed me the food was even looking at me, knowing something was wrong. We left the place, and we were both furious at this dude and how he treated us. He completely ruined my mood and whole night. That is blatant RACISM. FYI: The woman he was working with that night her name is Emily G. We came to the establishment around 7 pm. I have only ever had the California delight and compared to that sandwich this was a disappointment and I am not sure if it ja due to the sandwich or the location it had a lot of lettuce, the bread was very fluffy and ai felt it did not have a lot if meat on jt. It was food but not great. Staff were friendly. The person at the front gave us time to order as we were indecisive and checked in on us. We got in before it got busy so we got seating and didn't have to wait in a long line. We asked for a water cup and got a full size cup. When I got there I asked the counter guy if that was their only sandwich using "USDA Prime Beef" and he confirmed that so that was my order. Man, was that beef prepared badly! First bite was all gristle. All the beef was chopped very small and way overcooked and not detectably seasoned.
