I am not normally a beer drinker, but the team working was so helpful and encouraged me to try some different beers on tap. To my surprise, the beers I tried were very good, so really appreciative at how helpful they were. The food menu was fantastic and offered way more options than breweries normally do. We were told some of the burger options are on the menu for a limited time, so we tried the Goomba Burger and the Tri Tip Melt which were both absolutely delicious. Beer drinker or not, I would come back for the burgers!!

Glad they had their air conditioner on as it's 97 out. Beer is good as usual and i had the pale ale which has just the right amount of hop flavor. They offer 2 pale ales but I had one which is more like a west coast style. Tried the chicken Caesar salad and my hubby had a hot dog with garlic fries. Overall food is good and comes out quickly.

Great local brewery that has the friendliest service! We came on a Wed and it wasn't too busy but there were some groups around. They have a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. Not a huge parking lot but we were able to find street parking easily. Since it was our first time, we asked the bartender for an overview and he was really nice and explained everything and answered some questions we had. We both decided to go with their IPAs and they were delicious. They also have stouts, ales, seltzers, cider and sours. We didn't try any food this time but they had a very large food menu. We'll definitely be back!

Burning Beard brews some really interesting beer. I have tried two Belgian-monk inspired ales. I preferred the on-draft Get Thee To A Nunnery to another canned one but the virtue of the canned one was it was smaller if you're looking for less. The food is basic gold. Hamburgers, fries, a surprisingly good hot dog. The prices are not immune from recent inflation. Perfectly cooked, some nice outdoor seating. Industrial location because hey, it is a brewery.

Pretty good beer, tried Panic At The Nunnery and Where Vultures Fare in addition to tastes of the beers my companions had. Heard a pretty good punk rendition of Secret Agent Man while there but as I was leaving I didn't get a chance to ask the name of the band. Also picked up one of the branded glasses. Very good vibe and friendly helpful staff.

First time going here and the staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable on the types of beers they have. The beers were very tasty and we wanna go back for another date night.

Don't remember the exact name-Serrano jam burger. It'll burn your booty hole.

Great location with a small lot but plenty of street parking. Inside was smaller than I expected. Nice selection of beers. We made it just as they were closing the kitchen. The food was good but we got the Serrano jam burger which they warned was spicy but we didn't listen. The fries were crispy and perfect. We came for the 90s early 2000s cover band and were happily surprised with how good they were.

Burning Beard absolutely crushes it with their beer lineup. The LOKI Hefeweizen is hands-down my favorite anywhere incredibly smooth with a wild amount of flavor and depth. You can really taste the craftsmanship in every sip. The atmosphere matches the beer: chill, welcoming, and full of personality. Whether you're a local or just passing through El Cajon, this place is a must-stop for true craft beer lovers.

Nice little brewery which is very popular but we stumbled upon it on our recent visit to El Cajon. Food & Drinks: They have a great selection of beers on taps. We enjoyed a couple of different ones to taste the variety that they had to offer. They also have a food truck in the back with some good burgers and apps options. We got the garlic fries which were good. I absolutely love a brewery that has food. In my opinion that makes the experience complete. Ambiance: Chill vibes with some board games available to play. they have both outdoor and indoor seating and loads of it. Service: They have the sweetest staff. Loved interacting with some.

Rock pie (not on the menu)

We swung by this place after a weekend of spending cordial time with loved but values-distant relatives, and it was exactly the remedy we didn't know how much we needed until we looked at one another one beer in and sighed in relief. It's got that kinda dark, alt venue vibe, but everyone was very congenial and it had a family-like atmosphere. We brought our kiddo and there was another kiddo for him to make rock pies with. I went to put some songs in the jukebox and the bartender had switched it to play from her phone and let me select the next three songs all the same. Excellent, excellent beer. The lambic is one of the best local examples I've had, we had a hazy that blew us both away, and I really enjoyed the American Wild w/Blackberry that I took home. The food is on the indulgent side and also very good. Lots of spicy stuff, lots of hearty stuff. We had such a great time we made a point of going back, and really enjoyed our second visit as well. Thanks, y'all! I have a feeling this will be a perennial destination any time we're in San Diego

The Normcore Pilsner from Burning Beard Brewing!
    Alden C.

Steve and I were very happy and grateful to check off Burning Beard Brewing off of our list as it was on it for a while. The beer that we had and liked was the Normcore. This was a Pilsner, Czech style which we found to be good. A nice, light beer as the heat cranks up for the summer. Flavor features to be on the look out for with this beer are sweet, fruity, dry and a clean finish. Once again as my trend with beer drinking g has been lately it is light bodied which it seems anymore it doesn't seem to matter if it's summer or not it is a beer type that Steve and I prefer more often than not. Of course we try to keep our beer drinking diversified still as much as we can.

Dirty smash burger with a cider
    Ed M.

I enjoyed the cider and double dirty smash burger. Had plentiful seating outdoors on the evening we hung out here. Order at the front of the bar for drinks and food. Food pick up is in the back through the double doors in a food truck.

Kick out the jams: 2 smash patties, Serrano space jam, cream cheese, grilled onions, red onion, garlic aioli, on toasted sourdough

The drinks here are my favorite because to be honest, I'm a sours beer kind of guy and they have a whole building dedicated to it. Definitely worth the visit on a day you see them having one of these vendors or live bands you may be interested in. The people here seem to be very friendly with their regulars and greet you as if you're a friend. I think this bodes well with breweries considering you're usually here to have a good time and chill. I wouldn't say it feels like the reason I'd come back at all but no complaints here. Just didn't feel like out of this world service by any means.
