Mr.RayRay makes the BEST sandwich in El Cajon. Hands down. Maybe even in all of San Diego. As someone who has cooked for a living most of their adult life, I can honestly say this is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Anywhere! I was super bummed when I found out my other sandwich shop closed. But talk about a Blessing In Disguise! If you love sandwich's and haven't tried Ray-Rays, you are missing out. Try it ONCE, and you'll never go back to another deli. I'm here twice a week, easy. Not to mention, the dude is super friendly. Super chill spot. He keeps the A/C cranked. I have to say I have lived in the Rancho San Diego area for my entire life and ever since I caught a glimpse of Mr. Ray Ray's gourmet sandwiches logo it has always given me a interest in trying out their menu. I just had my first encounter with Mr. Ray the owner and I must say the hospitality along with the food and the great seating arrangements. I am beyond impressed with. how well the establishment takes care of their customer, not only by serving a great dish, but also taking care and making sure that the customer is pleased with the order before they are on their way. I myself I'm also trying to promote and grow my own brand business and services. And all am in support of someone who is doing the same. First time here since it switched over from Deli Belly. I got the Maple Smokehouse sandwich. While the flavors were good and the ingredients obviously fresh, there was such a small amount of turkey + bacon compared to the overwhelming amount of cheese, bread and onions to merit the $15 price tag. I'll be returning because it's very close to my home and the ingredients are good quality, but I hope the portion sizes get figured out! read more

They called out everyone else's names (and they usually call out mine when I order) and we noticed that our sandwiches were looking skimpy compared to how stacked we know they can come. My husband uses a nickname that might not be the name he was given at birth, but is a name he has used for over 20 years and might as well be his "real," name. We don't want to make assumptions, but most of the staff has always been at least a little cold towards us at best, slightly rude at worst, and even though this experience might seem relatively small to some, it's ultimately the straw that broke the camel's back. We suspect that their distaste for us might be politically motivated. We know it can't be personal because we've been nothing but polite. It sucks, but it seems to be that if they perceive you to not be "their people," your money isn't as green at their establishment, even if it spends all the same. I loved this place and felt lucky that they're close to my house, but feeling disrespected and like the staff are trying to fire us as customers is enough motivation to take our business elsewhere.

I placed my order online and asked for an excessive amount of pickles. Apparently my definition of "excessive" is different from theirs because I definitely could've used more, keep piling them on on! Either way, the sandwich was delicious, and they even drew a funny little pickle on the wrapper, which made me laugh. The employees are always great too. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, with only a few tables indoors, but there are additional tables available outside. My wife and I decided to try a couple of their sandwiches--the Cubano and the Greenbird. Both were absolutely amazing! The flavors were on point, and we really enjoyed both sandwiches. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other sandwiches. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I had to ask for more because I seriously couldn't stop eating it! It was the perfect combination. I also had the pepperoni and pineapple pizza (I didn't get a picture, so don't let the lack of photos fool you!). The crust was exactly how I like it--no flop at all--It was cooked perfectly. For the drive back home to Los Angeles, I grabbed an iced coffee with vanilla and cinnamon, and it was SO good. It was the perfect way to end the meal. OH! & On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere inside was such a vibe. The space is welcoming, the music selection was on point. It really tied the whole experience together. The chefs and owners were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. :) Thank you again to the chefs and owners for such a wonderful experience. I'm also planning to come back and try their iced coffee since there aren't many places to grab one out here in Jamul. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was fantastic.
