Great place !! Met some old friends there for breakfast. This was my first time there and it definitely won't be my last !! Food was Great and the Service was Excellent too !! Nice comfortable, friendly feeling ambiance there ! I got "The Jebbit" and it was Fantastic !! My family and I were looking for a place to have breakfast so we found this place because it is close to our AirBnB. The restaurant is a good size, lively and clean. The staff from the front to servers were so awesome. We called ahead and they accomodated us right away with a group of 10. They told us we would have to squeeze a bit then they extended our table after a new one opened up. The menu was not too expensive but had a lot of good choices. Here is what we had THE MAC: classic egg & cheese sandwich with choice of bacon, sausage or ham served on an english muffin - my cousin said this was delish, perfect for a simple breakfast without the hassle HALF SPOONFUL: two eggs any style, choice of bacon, sausage OR ham, home fries & silver dollar pancakes - my sister said everything was good, sausage was flavorful and not chewy, eggs cooked perfect to her choice of over medium, the only thing was pancake was a little dry but she is pancake picky so it should be fine MEAT & CHEESE OMELETTE: two eggs, choice of bacon, sausage OR ham & american cheese; served with home fries & choice of toast - my cousin got steak for his meat and he said it was perfect. Egg was of good consistency not dry and steak was cooked perfect Salmon Benedict: lox was not too salty, eggs cooked to perfection, and hollandaise....I haven't tasted better than this MAC Benedict or Corned beef hash Benedict: difference with the salmon, min was served on a toasted croissant. This was ingenious, like a sandwich with creamy sauce...soooooo ahhhmazing. Going Bananas waffle: Belgium waffle topped with caramel, bananas, and toasted pecan....can we say YUMMM!!! Steak burrito: we took his to go but it looked equally good Steak and eggs: the steak was so tender and the flavor....perfect Classic burger: my brother in law got this and added egg and bacon. The burger was cooked perfect and the egg too. Grilled cornbread: ok if you ever go here...this is a must...the best cornbread I have ever had! Side of homemade gravy: This was delish!! Side of extra crisp bacon: when we order this, we usually get a bad burnt bacon, or crispy on the ends and chewy on the inside. This bacon here....was perfect. The flavor was on point and it's like it disintegrated in my mouth after the first chew. Overall, everything was sooo good. I commend the chefs and staff for having such a great place to make our bellies and hearts happy. When we visit here again, we will definitely go back to eat and try other things. Terrific and impressive breakfast here earlier this morning! The host accommodated my motorcycle gear and helmet showing me to a small table with ample space to stow my helmet and jacket. Ample free parking in front and around the back. Bottomless (and hardy) black coffee to start. Hot (as black coffee should be!) An expansive menu with MANY breakfast options + specials on the wall. I opted for a Chorizo Omelette with Dary Rye Toast. (I passed on Home Fries solely due to calorie management. I could see them on almost every other plate coming from the kitchen; they looked great!) My omelette was a fine blend of ingredients, delicious, and topped with fresh guacamole. This was clearly a chef who cared about their work. My toast was delicious, too. The restaurant filled up with couples and families. No rush to clear my table. Service was very accommodating (from the entrance, seating, serving, and checking in on me. I can see why this restaurant filled up, and I will make a point of returning and recommending to family and friends. (The Patio was closed as it was chilly when I arrived.) Asked for bacon well done crispy and they delivered. home fries are decent - good flavor but nothing to write home about. scrambled eggs were slightly watery but I still ate them. Order eggs and you are good. I had a pastrami sandwich and it was like the meat was fried. Waitress offered to get me something else but I declined. Servers are excellent. She did take $5 off. I did not eat any of it however lol. My husband's meal was good and our granddaughter's as well. I said I wouldn't return last time I was there but she likes the pancakes being 7 years old lol. The Spoon is exactly what you'd expect out of a local breakfast spot. The inside has diner vibes, and their outdoor patio is covered for dining in the shade in the warm months. If you like spicy, make sure to order the Jebbit breakfast sandwich! It hit the spot on spicy flavors without setting my mouth on fire. My husband got the breakfast burrito and also enjoyed it. Just happened to be in the area and decided to give this place a try. 10/10 experience. Sat us almost right away. Just walking to our table I could tell we were in for a treat judging by how good everyone else's food looked. Even the people leaving the restaurant were talking about how good everything was! Checked this place out for an early lunch with my wife today as we were going to be in the area. Got there around 12 noon exactly and were seated immediately at the counter. We decided on the Loaded Tots as an appetizer. They came out quick and hot. 6 larger than average tots made with cheese and bacon inside and out , served on a bed of hollandaise and chopped green onions. These things were AWESOME. For our main choices, we both almost got the Southwest Burrito until my wife pointed out that they had chicken and waffles on the menu which is one of my favorite things to get when we go out for brunch. We got both and shared. The chicken and waffles were great. 4 tenders, lightly breaded and fried, served on a big fluffy waffle. I've had better but these were satisfactory. First time going, I didn't expect much from here. But oh was I so wrong. When I say the food was cooked to perfection- I mean it. Perfect proportions and just the right amount of crispy. Waiter was efficient and friendly, and my substitution was followed through. Very affordable as well. I haven't come across a brunch restaurant to my liking until The Spoon. Our last visit to The Spoon was a bit disappointing. Always enjoyed the breakfast and service but the food was not the same quality as on previous visits and never had my coffee refreshed. The lady at the hostess stand (older lady) is very rude & passive when talking to customers. It's unfriendly. The food is good- expect for a few things on the menu that are definitely just warmed up in the microwave example: hash browns. The portions of the food have gotten smaller as well. I've been going here for years and used to love the environment and atmosphere the workers brought but definitely has gone down these past few years. Would love for a come back ! read more

Traditional American breakfast, but they don't have hash browns. So I opted for a bowl of fruit as the side to my veggie eggs Benedict. It was pretty good, with sautéed veggies under the egg instead of meat. But my plate was still dirty, which was kind of gross. But I was so hungry I didn't complain. I like it!!!!! They were busy, but the staffs were kind and helpful! When we finally got our table, the waitress was like superwoman, who remembered all our order with special instructions without writing things down! How ? I'm still amazed by her ability! I have a handful of friends that live nearby, and The Spoon is always our first stop for breakfast in the morning after staying up all night on suburban adventures around Hopkinton! Even though it's technically a diner, this Spoon is anything but greasy. You can order a variety of food, from freshly made griddled cornbread that comes out perfectly golden brown with a rich, buttery crust, to a fantastic smoked salmon Benedict, which is one of the best ones I've ever had. And I am a brunch connoisseur! The Spoon is an awesome place to take a group, because there's really something for everyone. The interior of the restaurant is clean and bright, with booth or bar seating, just like in an old fashioned diner. The waitstaff is cheerful and friendly, and after a few visits will usually retain your order from memory - just another great detail that adds to the fun, homey appeal of this restaurant. Any New England restaurant that serves Biscuit and Sausage gravy deserve a a 5-star rating! The Spoon is a cozy restaurant in Hopkinton that specializes in breakfast dishes. Eggs Benedict, breakfast burritos and traditional selections are delicious. Late breakfast on a Saturday morning was busy, but we were seated quickly. Biscuits and sausage gravy was properly prepared. Biscuit was split and lightly toasted, gravy was loaded with crumbled sausage. Salmon Benedict was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable with most items under $10. read more

Tried this place again and had a much better experience. In my previous review I had doted on the environment, I've actually come around to it. It's almost like a modernized classic diner and it suits it pretty well. I also feel like their menu expanded immensely since the last time I went. This time around I got The Jebbit and my sister got a tuna melt and side Caesar. The Jebbit was really tasty (but messy), the best part was that they used fresh jalapeños unlike many breakfast places that use pickled. The home fries were also way better then the last time. The side Caesar salad was also huge, could've been a meal in itself. We were there on a Tuesday during winter break around 11am and it was quite busy. Lastly, in my previous review I had complained about there not being an ice cream spot anymore. Turns out there is - The Spoonery - but still doesn't seem to have the original Kit Kat soft serve :( read more

A real mixed bag here for food. I ordered the two egg omelette with american cheese and bacon. The eggs were spread thin and ended up a bit on the overcooked side. No fluffy quality to them at all and a mediocre flavor. The cheese inside was fine. The bacon inside were not pieces but more like tiny bits of bacon. The flavor of them reminded me of grill scrapings. Why aren't they using small pieces of bacon or bacon strips? I will never order this again here. Now for the good part. My home fries were pretty good. The other person at my table ordered the avocado toast and said it was excellent. The third person at the table ordered some kind of pastrami sandwich which was reportedly very good. So it seems as though your experience for food here may depend on what you order. Some meals are a hit and some are a miss. It's just a matter of coming often enough to figure out what to avoid. I have to say though for a place that serves breakfast in such a prominent way should have a decent omelette. The service was excellent. The staff friendly and helpful. They swung by at appropriate times to see if we needed anything. Hadn't seen such excellent service in a while. At one point we asked for something and it was instantly brought to the table. read more
