Came on a Wednesday evening. Nice sized, shared parking lot. Decent menu. For our table, we ordered the shrimp and grits that was nice and buttery, jerk chicken sandwich which was a bit bland. With jerk chicken, I expected bolder flavors. Chicken is also shredded. It comes with a nice slaw, fries, fried plantains, and on a brioche bun. We also had someone who ordered a hamburger. Basically only a bun with a lettuce leaf and marmalade. Tasted decent but definitely not a big burger. Fries are good. Service was mid. Didn't check in on us, only when we called for them, although they just sat at the bar.

Absolutely delicious. Bartender was super sweet. Both people working the bar were helpful and answered my questions. Kitchen and menu are really well put together and dominate. I usually get a cocktail but this time I got a beer. I enjoyed my drink but the food really knocked my socks off.

Been coming to Providence for years and always meant to eat here, however as they do not take reservations it was always left off the list. Finally made it and it did not disappoint. The wait was worth it and Slow Rhode is now on my must stop list everytime I visit. Our server was great and we love that they have later hours with a full menu. Hard to pick a favorite but probably goes to the Shrimp and Grits. Crazy low price for the portion it was. The Duck Drumettes were killer and the side of Chedder polenta fries were killer. Green beans were great and ordered a burger we had to pack up we were so full (also very good even hours later). Can't wait to come back

I was looking for somewhere not too fancy but with great reviews to grab a quick bite while on business travel. I came access The Slow Rhode by searching Yelp near me. The place is in a small collection of restaurants- it looks like some sort of concept for this that is cute. But it's not a food hall as each place has its own individual location with one shared parking lot. It's small inside with just a bar with seating and tables along one back wall. It's cute and intimate with wooden chairs and benches and a nice bar wall with bottle. Ambiance is dark and candle lit and there is a nice music selection playing in the background. It is loud, so don't go here if you want or need somewhere quiet. The menu is small but seems intentional. There are several small plates to choose from and here were mine: - Duck fat confit toast - this was not a fav of mine. I didn't actually enjoy the consistency of the fat on top of the toast - Duck drummettes - best thing on the menu! The duck was so tender it fell off the bone and the sauce is awesome! - Fried fish sandwich - it was a solid choice. The jalapeño was spicy, but once I removed that, it was good. I wish the slaw was a bit more creamy, but it was a large and fried fresh piece of fish, so I recommend it - zero proof cocktail - not a favorite; it was too sweet or something for me was off. It may be because I love a good alcoholic cocktail, but for someone who doesn't drink, it's well made The prices are good; all 4 items total came to $38 before taxes and tip. All in all, I would come back for another visit just knowing what to try next.

This is my favorite little casual place to go in Rhode Island! Menu is always changing and the options are amazing. Small, medium and large plates with lots of flavor and culinary inspiration! The bar and craft cocktails are always amazing. The duck drummettes with the white sauce, a must!

I went out to eat pretty late on a weekend night, and slow rhode was one of the few places still open! I had gone once a few years before, but I think it got even better since that first time! We got duck drumettes, which were juicy and had a delicious white bbq sauce on top. We also got baba ghanoush toast and some really good mac and cheese with bread crumbs, and a burger! Everything was quite good and hit the spot!

Came her with a friend. We immediately saw some chair openings at the bar so there we went. The bartender was friendly, quick and attentive to us. Drinks and food were great. The restaurant has dim lighting giving it a relaxed feel ambiance.

A new favorite in Providence. Drinks were prepared perfectly. Impressive signature cocktail menu. American Chop Suey with ground chicken and pork, along with pickled jalapeños was a great dish. Fried chicken sand, cooked perfectly, paired with a size of fresh and crispy fries. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu.

Small restaurant, big flavors! Food first. The spicy chicken sandwich was a great combination of tangy and spicy. The chicken was especially tender and juicy. The fries it came with were seasoned with a delicious Cajun style seasoning that made me wish they would never end. The fisherman's pie was a delicious take on a chicken pot pie, but with fish. The crust was flaky and the filling savory. The only thing I didn't care for was the room temp water served with no offer of ice. I prefer my water cold. Other than that, it was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Food - Was Ok,Just okay! Not The Best But not nasty. Service-when I arrived they wasn't as responsive and each worker walked past me with out acknowledgment.I felt that was a little rude but I didn't take that much offense But once they sat me down they was better with commitment to there job and the reason they are there. So customer service got better during the stay Ambiance- it was clean but A Few nets was bothering while eaten.

Visited The Slow Rhode in a group - waited about 20 minutes for a table. Place fills up quick on a Friday night. This time, we shared the Duck Drumettes and they were DELICIOUS! The white bbq sauce and tenderness of the duck was *chef's kiss*. I ordered the fish sandwich with fries and ate it up. The menu is pretty simple, but the food is really good. Paired my meal with tequila on the rocks. Good portion for the prices and service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend going with a maximum of group of three, however, as the seats are tight and you might need to wait for a seat.

I love Slow Rhode so much that I've openly bawled during an almost-break up here (shout out to our server who brought us over another entree on the house, maybe she thought more food would stave off my tears?) southern food is in my top three favorite cuisines, and I truly believe they're doin it justice over here

The duck confit, poutine fries, insane!

    Is this place Kid friendly?

It's a pretty tight spot, tends to be a little noisy, and food (albeit delicious), isn't super kid friendly. It wouldn't be my first choice if bringing kids.

    Are they dog friendly?

The patio for sure is. I don't know about the interior.

The space is a large modern hanger-style food court with a large bar station and plenty of seating in and outdoors on large patio. Wonderful for families and groups to gather around at long large tables. We found a table by the end by a large screen wall tv with sports on and comfy leather club chairs Great for drinks and talking. First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. It was a cold chilly day, but the overflow folks were headed outside of the picnic tables, which seemed very cold to me, but on a warm day I would all be very nice. A note on parking, we parked in the adjacent parking garage right near behind Track 15 and get your ticket validated inside at wall kiosk by the door when Leaving. This will save you, so two hours cost about $8.95.

Looked at all of our options and I decided to go with Mexican from Dolores and my wife decided to go with Giusto PVD. I wish I had chosen Italian over Mexican. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. I really wanted to order a long Liv beer, but the bartender was talking to someone, I assume that they knew, as although I was only the second person in line I didn't get waited on for over 10 minutes. I ended up walking away to go get my food and just drank water. So my first experience here was not great, overall I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm going to go back and try again as there are a few other restaurants. I really do like the idea of being able to get dishes from different restaurants, pick your own seat and sit with other people at a community table. It's really nice inside and they had live music tonight, which would've been great if we wanted to stay. Next time I go back, I'm definitely having Italian, pizza and some falafel. Dolores was 2 stars Bart was 1 star Giusto was 5 stars Bus boy gets 5 stars too

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews.
