I love skellig for a day drink or night out but WARNING if you bring your dog to the patio during the day - there is broken glass EVERYWHERE in the gravel. This pile is just within arms reach around our table.

Absolutely incredible! We had our holiday party here and I can't tell you how amazing it was! The food, drinks, and hospitality was exceptional! Lots of parking in the rear of the building. Highly recommend!

We went here for TX/OU. It was a great atmosphere with both Texas and OU fans (unfortunately...) and we were able to all sit at the same table. The staff was exceptionally kind and understanding despite the anticipation of serving during such a wild game. I got a simple breakfast which was of course great, and the cider was wonderful. They have an interesting twist on a sangria with rose wine.

Vibes off the charts

So many people inside this joint. So many people. Everybody just watching the games happening. Kinda fun honestly. Sheridan the waitress (friend of my friend cam bam grand slam woodall) was a gem and a half. My Dr Pepper was tasty. Got the double whiskey something or other burger and it was delectable. Booth had a caged light thing that made the whole thing have a mysterious, almost pirates of the Caribbean vibe. Not complaining. No jack sparrow sightings.

El Chapo's all around

Great place to watch games, try el chapo's with your friends. Loaded fries were good too

Beer Companion

On weeknights Skellig is a consistent, engaging neighborhood pub. Their beer companion board rivals some of the best charcuterie I've had in Dallas. The chicken tenders are crisp and fluffy, like Cane's, and the chocolate brownie is blissful. If you sit outside, make sure to let someone at the bar know because sometimes they forget to check on who has walked up. On weekends; however, Skellig turns into a raging sports center. They're packed wall to wall with post-grads and SMU students watching football and pregaming clubs. I wouldn't recommend trying to come for dinner as you won't get served anything but alcohol.

Old Fashioneds, and house made salsa and queso with chips
Gabriella F.

This is one of my favorite go-tos! They have something for everyone in terms of food (vegetarian options), and drinks. The standard of service is also ALWAYS on point. My Old Fashioneds are always prepared the same way and always excellent. My friends say The Skellig have "the best fried chicken fingers in Dallas!"

Chips & Queso

Skellig is where the party starts and ends for the night. This is where you go in Dallas to meet young successful people in Dallas. The food is good, but that's not the real reason you come here. The atmosphere is great if you are into the crowded bar scene. The food is surprisingly good and the beer is cold!

Burger
Zoe M.

Loud, lively, with a young crowd! Everyone seemed to be in their 20's unless someone brought a parent in! Classic bar food. Only complaint is the burger. Really thin slab of meat. Relatively similar in size to McDonald's or Whataburger. Fries were similar to that category as well. The ranch and queso were both great! Chips were served hot! Food and drinks came out in good timing! We ordered the El Chapo shots which did not disappoint! Service was great. Good atmosphere.

Enjoying a summer night!

Staple neighborhood bar. Good service, good drinks, good crowd. Don't expect superior mixology but they can pour a good drink.

Beer is great, but restrooms are nasty. It has indoor and outdoor options. Also cute pups on the patio.

We got a cheeseboard, but if I had to recommend one thing, definitely the fried mushrooms if you like mushrooms. They're huge and the spicy cilantro sour cream sauce is killer! We sat in the indoor/outdoor area, which was my fave. It can take a minute to flag someone down when it's busy, but that felt understandable for how busy they were. Easy place to settle into and lose track of time a bit--just drinks, conversation, and good food without overthinking it.

I came for "just one pint" and left three days later wearing someone else's sweater, speaking in a…read morequestionable accent, and convinced I'm 1/16th Irish on my mother's side (DNA test still pending). The Guinness is poured so perfectly it should be in the Louvre. The bartender, Austin (I'm pretty sure that's his real name and not just what he tells customers), has the patience of a saint and the sarcasm of a man who's been asked "Do you have anything like Guinness but less dark?" one too many times. Highlights: The fish & chips were so good I briefly considered converting to Catholicism just so I could thank God properly. The bathroom graffiti is poetic. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I came for a piss and met half the crew." - actual quote. Then you've got Hannah, who's basically the pub's chaos coordinator. She's got blonde hair that could guide ships in a fog and a laugh that echoes like a banshee having a great time. Don't sleep on Wes - He'll nod once, slide you your drink, and if you're lucky, mutter something profound like "Life's short, drink good stout." Then he disappears to polish glasses like he's auditioning for a monastery. Absolute mystery man, 10/10 enigma. And rounding out the crew is Paige, the wildcard. She's got stories that start with "Back in then..." and end with police chases, lost sheep, and at least one exploding still. She'll flirt with your grandma, roast your ex in three sentences or less. There is also this Asian guy that looks like a confused troll with blonde hair. He lives up to the saying once you go Asian it's amasian. Can't forget the blonde girl that's going through the Dallas legacy transition of bottle service to real estate. Shes as good at serving as she is selling real estate. These people run the bar like a well-oiled dysfunctional family. They banter with each other louder than the jukebox, remember birthdays you forgot you told them, and have an unspoken code: if you're having a rough night, they'll slide you a free shot and pretend it was a mistake. If you're being a gobshite, they'll roast you into next week without missing a pour.

This review is long overdue but hey as long as I get it done…read more We were luckily referred to Harwood Arms by the front desk of our hotel at check-in, which was conveniently within walking distance (~10 mins) and has a kitchen that's open late which was nice after a day of travel, later check-in and being hungry. It was a few days before Thanksgiving, there was a decent crowd in the bar and everyone including the bartender (who's name I now cant remember because I took so long to write this) were all very friendly and helpful. The bar was warm, cozy and decked out in Christmas decor (and cute bathroom wallpaper). Good beer selection, great food (I literally ate the tikka masala twice during our couple day trip) and they were conveniently open on Thanksgiving after the game and a fun shot wheel, which was both fun to partake in and fun to watch others do. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves back in Dallas.

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.
