Just finished my first Ike's sandwich. Their version of a Reuben and it was amazing. The girl at the counter was beyond good customer service. Helped with the bread to choose and when I said everything she immediately asked about jalapeños sensing my appearance might require the question. It did. I laughed. A good sandwich can quickly be ruined by the bread but I think I got their house bread and it too was incredible. Thanks for a great lunch.

When I started at ASU back in 2014, I discovered Ike's as I was exploring Mill Avenue. Since then, Ike's has been among my favorite places for sandwiches. Although it is no longer on the menu, my favorite sandwich is the Steph Curry One, which features turkey, provolone cheese, and yellow BBQ sauce. I found out that even if something is not on the menu, they can still make it for you if you remember the combination. Some other sandwiches I like are the Hunter Pence and the Steve Nash. The service is friendly, and they are more than happy to offer suggestions on what sandwich to choose, as they have an excellent selection of sandwiches. I also like the atmosphere. It is nice and colorful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your food. Ike's is also a great place to go if you need to eat on the run. Once, I had to take my sandwich to go. Upon ordering it, they had it ready with plenty of time to spare. I also like that they have a rewards program. I highly recommend Ike's Love and Sandwiches to anyone who is looking for a great sandwich on Mill Avenue.

Easy peasy 5 stars…read more Tempe Eats has a cool concept, there are several smaller restaurants that are setup in a food court deal, you use the QR Code to get your food. They have alcohol which seems to be sold by a different company-- Anyways chik pop is just amazing. I got the OG Sando spicy which was a perfectly fried chicken thigh in a sandwich-- they add an extra piece of chicken with it so just on portion size this place is a winner. The heat was solid and the chicken was juicy check my pic. Staff was super friendly and the Tempe Eats has someone checking on you as well. The sandwiches come with a purple Italian style dressing ( not sure what is was) that you may find off-putting so if you are sensitive to that stuff get the sauce on the side. I didn't mind it all. Sandwich comes with fries-- the place has water pitchers with lemons in it, get some water. You need to try this place! Can't wait to go back.

I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, and the portion was huge the chicken was spilling out of the bread! I was actually the only one at the table who finished the whole thing (I was hungry!). We came here for my brother's birthday and our server did a great job making him feel special. They offered him a birthday shot, but since he doesn't drink, they brought us churros for the table instead which was sweet of them. One thing to note* I wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was. Our server did give me a heads up but I personally loved the heat. If you're not into spicy food though, it might be a bit much.

Foch Café is seriously so dog-friendly, and Louis & Theodore were obsessed with their puppy crêpes! We enjoyed mimosa flights, delicious food, great service, and getting to spend the morning with fellow dog moms and their pups. We were welcomed with a friendly smile. We explained that the other half of our party was on their way & the host promptly prepared our table... mostly. There were small plates set for each of us, but only one roll-up/napkin (for 4) & no drink menu. Minor details, but it kinda set the tone for the service experience. Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask. That kind of accountability goes a long way. Overall, I'd still go back & give them another try because the atmosphere was fun, the vibe was there, and I can see the potential. Every restaurant has an off day -- especially during a busy brunch rush.
