Basic breakfast that was of average quality. I got the traditional breakfast and wife got an omelet made to order. They must have had 15 workers or more when we arrived. I've never seen so many idle workers. A bit pricey, but ok overall. Good service and a very nice atmosphere. Place was clean.

Restaurant front with mist because it's too darn hot in AZ

I came here with my newest friend and his sweet girlfriend for breakfast/lunch after staying indoors for 12 nights. It was cool seeing mist on the way into the restaurant because it was already 106 before going in. It's possible it might be state law here because it's way too hot here in Arizona. The workers here were very nice and our waitress Paige gave us nice service. I like how they bring the pitcher of iced water and the carafe of coffee so you don't have to keep asking for refills! The coffee here is really good! We had a nice window seat with a good little view. The restaurant was really clean, including the men's restroom. So, for lunch, I had their version of the Turkey melt and French fries. They have a unique flavor with the sauce they put on the melt. Was super delicioso!!! I definitely was glad my friend took me here and I would come back! Please give them a try!

I Like US Egg Because It Has A Very Homey Ambiance & The Servers Are Always Friendly. The Food Kind Of Gives You A Small Diner Vibe But It's Not. it's Just A Very Relaxing Environment, That's Suitable For Large Groups Or Solo Guests.

Food was good. Prices are a bit high for what you get compared to other competitors. Over staffed and not trained. We were seated near bus station. Bus staff stood in the same place our entire visit doing nothing. Our server forgot three things we requested and gave us the wrong bill. Train you staff, manage your staff, staff accordingly and you can lower prices and improve service.

Egg-cellent breakfast spot with tasty food and fantastic service (Sam took great care of us). Ordered the half and half with protein pancake and the Idaho skillet of ham, sausage and mushroom with an over medium egg. Huge portion for this dish, good combo of sweet and salty. The coffee was good and appreciated that they leave you the coffee pitcher and water pitcher at the table. Husband subbed fruit for hash browns and they had a great variety. Loved the egg carton US flag decor and US Egg (puns on point) Will be back!

4 employees looking at a phone instead of working. Sanitizing stuff on table but not touched once during my visit!

I used to love this place, but after my last three visits I don't think I will be returning, unless I'm with somebody that really wants to go there. Todays visit, my table and my menu had syrup smeared across it. The table obviously had not been wiped down/sanitized. I actually observed the bus boy on a table next to me sure enough he took the dirty stuff away. Did a cursory wipe with his hand to push some crumbs onto the floor and then put out new place settings. He did not wipe down or sanitize the table. Also, today's breakfast was a real letdown Biscuits and gravy, how can you mess that up? Well I am 100% sure they microwaved them because the bottom and outer edges were tough like biscuits and rolls when you microwave them. The gravy was plentiful, but it wasn't enough to soften up the biscuits., which you definitely could not cut with a fork and even with the knife they give you was still difficult. Much less chewing it. It 2-1/2 bites, Then gave up and ate the gravy. Also why was i only offered water or more juice when i was requesting my bill? I sure could have used that earlier. Each of my visits the staff tend to congregate at the hospitality station, and chat. Unfortunately when your waiting for a refill or the bill, or to get your card back, its frustrating to just see them standing there when your waiting so you can leave. Two visits ago there was a foreign object in my breakfast burrito. I thought it was a dried corn husk, but the manager said they dont have corn husks there. So it was stringy and tough like straw, it could have been plastic. Three visits ago, my waitress disappeared, didn't bring me the bill or anything. I kept trying to flag people down, but they were too busy talking at the hospitality station. Finally had to get up and get someone just so i could pay and get out of there. 20 minutes wasted for that.

One of the best diners I've been to in a while. Their skillets and drinks were amazing. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Prices were reasonable and there really were no complaints from me. If I'm ever back in the Tempe area I would definitely come back again.

A short wait on a Saturday morning. Packed full of people, but I wish the tables were spread father apart from each other. So many good restaurants are in strip malls, and Good Egg exemplified this. The over medium eggs, cheese, and hash browns matched perfectly in my Idaho Hot Skillet with my selection of bacon, onion, and bell peppers. I subbed in toasted for an English muffin. I really liked how they left a carafe of water and coffee (if you ordered coffee) on the table. The staff was pretty busy and this takes away one thing the customers can bug them about.

We went here on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn't super packed but a little busy. We were quickly seated. The waitress was nice and courteous. I got the triple p (I think) with protein pancakes, Turkey sausage, and over easy eggs (made perfectly). My friend got a triple play with protein pancakes, half sausage half bacon, cheese eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit. My other friend got an omelette with a side of broccoli. I also got strawberry yogurt for my baby. Everything was good and flavorful. The broccoli could have been cooked a little longer as it was still super firm. The mimosas were made very well, not with too much juice. It was a good time.

1st they have a full vegan menu. 2nd they accommodated over 18 cyclists today short notice. 3rd someone (sorry no name) assuming Manager, greeted us and had table available. 4th server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Bathrooms were clean and outside was shaded with misters going. Food was great by everyone. Major Taylor Phoenix Riders, thank you.

Our group of 8 ended up here when another Tempe restaurant had a kitchen emergency and cancelled our reso an hour before dinner. Alter Ego was able to accommodate us, and we were glad they did. If you enter from the street side you'd never know you're in a hotel restaurant. It's got an upscale, classy vibe not usually seen in hotel dining. The waiter and bartender were attentive and knowledgeable. The menu wasn't huge but it was a great variety of options. Table had some salads, flatbreads, burgers and a round of butter cake desserts. Each was really, really good. Way more sophisticated plates than expected. Also had a bunch of craft cocktails, unique and well made. Sometimes the best experiences are unplanned. We walked in and were immediately greeted by... absolutely no one. There was what might have been a hostess stand, or possibly a modern art installation--I'm still not sure. After doing a full lap like we were casing the place for a heist, we confirmed: no hostess, no sign, no clues. Just vibes. Naturally, we migrated to the bar like confused NPCs waiting for a quest. Stood there. Made eye contact. Practiced our "we are clearly humans who would like to eat" stance. Nothing. Not even a nod. At this point, I was considering ordering invisibility cloaks since we were clearly already wearing them. Finally, we move to the front of the bar where someone acknowledges us and says, "Oh yeah, just go to the hostess stand... she'll be back." Ah yes--the elusive hostess. A mythical creature. So we return to the podium of mystery and wait. Eventually, an older woman appears (possibly summoned by our collective confusion) and seats us. Progress. We sit down. No water. No greeting. No "hey, glad you solved the puzzle and made it to Level 2." Just silence. About 7 minutes later, two guys get seated right next to us. Within 4 minutes, a server rushes over to them like they're VIPs at a Vegas club and takes their drink order... while we're sitting there like decorative furniture. At that point, we realized we weren't dining--we were extras in someone else's restaurant experience. So we left. To whoever manages this place: you might want to check the tape. Not even to fix things--just to appreciate the full cinematic masterpiece of how impressively this all unfolded. Honestly, it'd make a great training video titled "What If We Just Didn't?" Would I come back? Only if there's a leaderboard next time so I know how close I was to unlocking the "Order Coffee" achievement.

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. Order at the kiosks (super easy), grab a number, find a table in their cozy interior or on their large front patio, and your food will be brought to you. Have a question? But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.
