I rate their fish and chips very highly, particularly their Northwoods Walleye fish and chips which is only available during Lenten season. It's hard to find a fresh water fish and chips and Culvers of all places has it. Their cod fish and chips which are available year round is also excellent. I would rate their fish and chips against anyone in Phoenix. Service here is great, all the staff is friendly. The inside has some carpet and an "at-home" type interior, something that is missing at a lot of fast food places nowadays. In addition, they have plenty of outdoor seating if you want a nice view of the parking lot. They serve Coke products. Hamburgers...their butter burgers area bit rich and heavy if you're not used to it. They also have cheese curds if you've never tired them before, this is the place! They have custards as their deserts which are available in either to-go container form or you can have it as a sundae also. My wife loves the Turtle sundae. As an occasional fast food junk food-eater I've over the years loyally tasted most everything on Culver's menu at least once, sometimes more from the East coast to the West Coast. Somehow, to the Patrons benefit they are a standout in the industry. So as to make it easy to gauge each of these places, when I do try them, I've devised a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being outright down and dirty nasty, and 5 being the best a fast-food joint can be! I gauge: 1) cleanliness; 2) quality service; 3) product quality and consistency; 4) convenience; 5) accessibility; 6) taste; and 7) the personnel's attitude and customer service level. This location is usually top tier, I have gone here since I have moved to Arizona. They have a lot of younger employees working at the location which I don't mind at all. The last few times I have ordered from this location either by take out or by drive thru I have not received the best service per the food. My last take out order was missing my sides I had to go back in and ask them for the remainder of my order. The girl who gave me my order looked confused I showed her my bag she had just given me and they gave me two additional size to compensate. By the time I got home and was ready to enjoy my meal I opened it and my burger bun had mold on the top.. I was not going to drive all the way back to get another one with the same service.... I did call the location where nobody answered the phone. The last time I received my order to go half of my meal was in there and my sides were also missing.... It's the principle of the matter people pay a lot of money to go to fast food chains that are usually really good. Having the care to put the full order in the bag especially for us who works long hours and want a great meal matters. It takes a little bit more effort to be efficient. The double strawberry flavor of the day one scoop in a dish had a strange flavor to it and was already slightly melted when it arrived to my car.
