    Ham, Egg & Cheese

My coworker introduced me to Kolache cafe. Our office was doing a breakfast potluck so he wanted to bring us each a breakfast kolache. I chose their ham egg and cheese, it was so good. The bread was so soft and a little sweet. I loved the combination. They have many options on their menu! I look forward to trying some other kolaches on their menu in the near future.

I've been seeing a bunch of locations pop up, but happened to be in the area looking for breakfast so we stopped by! Tried the sausage, egg, and cheese kolache and despite the small size, it hit the spot. The staff heats it up for you and we dined in - and glad we did as the savory kolache needed some salsa as we spotted the cholula hot sauce bottle halfway into eating. The kolache had the right blend between sweet bread with the savory egg filling. Also had a bite of the Oreo cheesecake kolache and was surprised to find the staff had warmed it up as well (not sure why I thought it was just the savory ones). It was nice, not super sweet. The building seemed new so we were surprised to find out they had been opened for five years! Great for a small meal or snack so will be back to try other flavors.

This restaurant offers it's customers a very relaxing atmosphere and delighting customer experience. The jelly topped pastry was excellent and freshly made. This is a perfect spot to walk in and grab a morning pastry or a gigantic Cinnabon. The service was legendary!

It's a nice place but very unorganized. I ordered a sausage and gravy, and a sausage, egg, and cheese and asked for them to be warmed up. They were given to me cold and the signs on them were all wrong because I ended up with a ham, egg, and jalapeño and a sausage and gravy instead of the sausage egg and cheese. I took it back up and she apologized and gave me a replacement, but it was still wrong. This time it was a chorizo and egg. I never got the sausage egg and cheese I ordered. They tasted fine but to go up to the counter twice and still not get what I ordered was very disappointing. Overall it was chaotic and mismanaged behind the counter.

Never had a savory kolache we didn't like and this half dozen did not disappoint. Only suggestion is using sturdier boxes. When ours was delivered and picked up the box was soft from the heat from the food and the kolaches almost fell out of the box.

After my nearby appointment was done, I decided to walk over and grab myself a kolache and some sun. Perfect timing as it was later in the morning & empty so the service was very personal. The downside of coming late, a lot of the items I was craving for breakfast were gone. It's always first come first serve. All good so I went with something sweet and something savory along with a fountain drink. Got a chance to catch up on the New Times paper and customer service was super friendly while I was there. Remember to come early and like donuts, get them by the half-dozen or dozen!!

Just ordered delivery for my team at work and they absolutely loved them. We preordered and the dozen pack makes it so easy. They package them up so you know the flavors and make it easy to pass out. Will definitely order again great food such good flavors.

I have now graduated from being a heathen to the status of a believer (in kolaches!). This is the first time I have had a savory kolache and I realize that my life is far from being fulfilled. I need more! A perfect bun of soft bread totally encapsulating a delightful filling of your choice makes for a kolache. A diverse selection of flavors, ingredients, and then dessert of an open face sweet fruit kolache; indescribably delicious! We live in Southern California and it's hard to find kolaches so coming here to Arizona allow me this experience. The café itself is decorated with flowers on the table, soft music so you don't have to shout, clean, colorful and staff bubbling over with friendliness.

Was turned away for paying with a $100 bill for $50 worth of food. We advised the cashier that we drove a long way and that this was our first visit. My family had to leave to get change then come back to reorder our food and beverages. There are no signs posted that the establishment does not accept large bills. We were looked upon and made to feel like we were doing something wrong by the tone given to us. The food and beverages were alright. Very disappointing...

Fresh little setup they got here

The Kolaches are great! I was skeptical about their size but it's all in the quality! The service is also fantastic! The crew always seems to be on their genuine side and helpful. Their dining area is very chill as well! This quickly became a favorite little spot of mine!

Now that they've added catfish to the menu, they've become one of the top spots in the state for true Southern comfort food. The chicken is fried perfectly crispy, seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right. The catfish? Equally impressive. Golden, flavorful, and fried to perfection. He also took the time to share the origin story of the restaurant, which was a nice personal touch and made the visit more memorable. I ordered the three-piece plate and everything was solid. My favorite was definitely the coleslaw, which was very sweet and paired well with the chicken. It also comes with beans and bread. The bone-in chicken had a moderate level of spice (around a 5/10) while the tenders were noticeably less spicy. Overall, chicken was delicious and very much on par with classic soul/Southern-style fried chicken. One fun bonus is that if you order a drink, it comes in a plastic souvenir cup that you can keep! Great soul food place to visit.

Never thought I'd have to make a negative post for this restaurant, but it's time to speak up…read more I used to love coming here a few years ago for my steaks/carrots. I'm the only one of my family who still kept making a 30+ minute drive because it was a decent price for decent quality. They also have amazing carrots (sometimes). Over the years, especially nowadays, I cannot say the same thing now. You may get a good steak, or it may be a horrible steak. It may be seasoned perfectly, or you can receive overseasoned/underseasoned. You can order how you want your steak, but it depends on the cook. You may get an overcooked steak or undercooked. You may receive only part of your order if you order takeout. The carrots may be absolutely delicious one time, horrible the next time. Quality control is a major issue here recently. I have always been the one in my family to say "Oh it's not a big deal, I'm sure they're busy and just got the order wrong," etc. but this time I cannot think of an excuse. To order an 8 oz steak, paying for an 8 oz steak - only for that steak to have an absurd amount of fat to where it basically turned into around 5 oz, I am genuinely speechless this time. I am a regular customer here, and while I've had really horribly made food and really well made food, this inconsistency is not okay. I don't think the 30+ minute drive is worth it anymore after this experience. I have also noticed the managers that work here now compared to a few years back don't really seem to care if they get your business or not. You can tell them part of your order is wrong, and they stare at you as if you'll gladly eat it anyway until you have to verbalize that you would like it redone. Overall, it's been a pretty bad experience lately, and I just don't see it being worth it anymore.

I barely had time to decide if I wanted fries or to change my mind about life. Slow down. Let me breathe. Then the food came out like it was in a relay race -- piece by piece. One plate here. Ten minutes later, another plate. By the time everything arrived, somebody at the table was done eating. Are we sharing or are we time traveling? Now let's get into the finances. A $30 deposit? Okay, cool -- I actually don't hate that idea. But the automatic 20% gratuity per person? Ohhh okay. So we tipping whether service is good, bad, or spiritually absent? Got it. Because once that 20% is secured, apparently so is the effort. No check-backs. No "How's everything tasting?" Just vibes and a bill. And if you don't like something? Don't expect a redo, a swap, or even a concerned eyebrow raise. You'll get a look, maybe a shrug, and then here's your receipt. Let's talk about the water. Plastic cups. Not filtered. Just straight "hydration but make it questionable." The band? Whew. They need acoustic panels, insulation, something. Because that bass was fighting for its life. It wasn't giving live music -- it was giving "speaker in distress." The food? The fish was salty. The crab legs were salty. If I wanted that much sodium, I'd go lick the ocean. Seasoning is cute. Over-seasoning is aggressive. There's a broken chair sitting in front of a beautiful picture wall like it's part of the aesthetic. Is it décor? Is it a test? Are we supposed to risk it for the photo? Now let me be fair. The BEST things in the whole place? * The one photo room -- beautifully lit. 10/10 for selfies. * And the cute white guy bartender. Yes. You, sir. You were the highlight of the establishment. Other than that? The Lush Café is more "Lush Vibes, Low Effort." It's cute for pictures. It's cute for the aesthetic. But if you're going for service and balanced seasoning... you might leave a little salty too. Would I go back? For photos and eye candy at the bar... maybe. For the food and service? Let's just say I'm not rushing. P.S that free birthday shot

Also, the soda was a little flat and didn't have much flavor, which was a bit of a bummer. But overall it was a great casual family meal with tasty chicken, good spice levels, and satisfying sides. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when the hot chicken craving hits. Overall rating: Great flavor, juicy chicken, and a family-approved meal.

Stopped by the Chandler location on West Chandler Blvd recently and left impressed. The staff was…read moregenuinely friendly and quick--solid service without any attitude. The chicken tenders were spot-on: really crispy exterior that actually held up, with juicy, tender meat inside and perfect doneness. No complaints there. The french fries were a standout--crisp all the way through and seasoned just right, not overdone or underdone. Easily some of the better fast-casual fries I've had lately. The slider was a nice surprise too. It's a good, generous size--comparable to what you'd get at the big national chains, but noticeably better quality and flavor. Clean spot, good vibe, and everything came out hot. Nothing flashy, just consistently good food done well. Definitely going back, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking for solid hot chicken.
