The portion of ham and turkey were very close to half of what I was used to getting on this sandwich. Also, there was only one very small (about the size of a nickel) piece of bacon on the whole thing. Finally, the small amount of meat that was on it was bunched up into little piles such that I had to disassemble and reassemble my sandwich so that the meat was evenly distributed. I will try one more time to see if this was possibly a "one-off" but if my next experience is similar to this one I will be finding a new sandwich shop. The remodel was nice and the place was very clean. I will say it was a little warm in there. Not sure if the AC was broken or if they are just trying to save some $$$...

Service (4/5): Portillo's has self-service kiosks where you can customize your order to your heart's content which is a nice touch. Or, if you're old school, you can put in your order at the counter. They call your name when your food is ready. My food took a little longer than expected for a fast food type of joint. Drinks (3/5): I had a strawberry milk shake. They're not cheap here, but I love a good milkshake. This one, unfortunately, while a good size, tasted a bit too artificial. Food (3/5): Portillo's is known for their Chicago-style hot dogs and their Italian beef... both Chicago classics. The heft of the sausage and Italian beef caused the bread to become soggy. Which then led to beef falling out of the sandwich. A messy predicament. Beyond that, I didn't love either protein. Next time around, I'll stick to what I know and like... the Chicago-style dogs. I've been to a Portillo's in Chicago. It's nice to have several locations in the Valley.
