You know how sometimes you go somewhere, EVEN Whataburger, and you have such a great experience you just have to say something? Well this is one of those times. First off I got the biscuits and gravy because, for the money, it's SO DARN GOOD!!! This restaurant is clean and kept up very well. But to me, it was the service that made it such a great experience. Stacy was the lady at the drive through and she was so friendly and seemed like she GENUINELY enjoyed being there. She did this very cool thing where she asked for a name for the order, even though I was in the drive-thru and it seemed it was really just so she could use my name when talking to me at the window. Got here around 10:30 on a Monday. I ordered the chorizo breakfast on a bun sandwich meal with fries and a coffee, fries; and apple juice. There was a bit of a wait but I never mind as long as the food is fresh, which it was. That sandwich was amazing! Fries were fresh and hot. Server was nice and addressed me by my name, which I appreciated. The coffee was meh but I don't have high expectations for coffee from a food place lol whataburger is my fav but I've never had the chorizo sandwich so I was pleasantly surprised and happy. read more

First time trying a Whataburger! Glad I did! My sister and I split the patty melt and grilled chicken sandwich. Filled our bellies, tasted good, and I won't get it again, but I'm glad to have tried it! I was eating in my car before work in the dark. After a bite I thought it tasted weird. Shined the light on it and realized the chicken is raw! Hardly cooked at all. Took it back and they refunded me 4$. Could have refunded me the full meal amount atleast. Honestly won't eat here again. read more

Came to eat here before heading back to California. We had the double cheeseburger combo. It was good, I like that they add mustard. I also ordered the Mexican hot chocolate shake, that was bomb! On my most recent road trip out to Mesa, AZ, I stopped here for lunch as I had a digital coupon for a free Monterey Melt. To get the free sandwich, I needed to buy medium fries and a medium drink. I placed my order on the mobile app before going inside. The one employee that was working the counter was really nice and friendly. The burger or sandwich was not bad, but it was definitely much greasier than what I'm used to eating these days. read more

I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and nudge up to 4 Rating. My double Whataburger was quite tasty; and I appreciate the extra tomato. This said, I swear the burgers were better a few years ago. Polite staff. Seemed a bit confused in general, but clearly polite. The 2X burger was fairly solid, fries were average, iced tea was top-notch. In total ? OK, a 4 rating. Definitely not a 5, but the quality of the hamburger was still quite good (5 yrs ago they were better). Eh. Nice shop, although I swear the staff are polite, but limited as to their thought processes. They do all pretty well, so a 4-Star is warranted. read more

I'm gonna say this first, Ive been suffering from floor level low expectations lately with fast food restaurants. This location has consistently gotten my orders correct every single time. Whataburger is middle in price as in you'll spend a minimum of $10 dollars for an adult order.......But it's worth it. Shrinkflation has not yet affected the medium meals. All other locations nearby just can't compete with their competency. The location is clean and messes in my observations have been taken care of when seen. This restaurant was my goto from the day the store was built, not anymore! Past couple times didn't get what I ordered. I'm coming home from a second job and starving, get my go-to, single bacon whataburger w cheese, frys, spicy ketchup! Nope get home, which is 15min away and burger no cheese, no bacon, no ketchup for frys, frys are so limp and soggy....Definitely not fresh! I'm visiting Arizona from California for school and I haven't had Whataburger since I lived in Texas almost a decade ago. So I was pretty excited when I realized that Arizona had them. I stopped the other day at one and it was just terrible so on my way home I decided to stop and give this one a try and boy am I glad I did! My cashier Celeste was super friendly and very kind, and my food was excellent. I enjoyed the memories that being here conjured up, and the ambiance was exactly how I remember WB. If you enjoy Whataburger, there is much to like about this location. It's a relatively new building with modern seating and an open and clean Arizona-themed lobby. We've been fans of Whataburger for 40+ years so needless to say, we enjoy the food. This location does it as well as most. The 5-star rating though is more reflective of our customer service experience here, especially with Daniel at the front counter. He is a godsend, has superb and detailed customer service skills. There's lots of room to park and ample seating inside. Our go-to items are the original Whataburger or the Whataburger Jr. in a combo meal. The food is almost always fresh. When the fries are hot they (in our opinion) as good as anywhere especially with Whataburger's own original or spicy ketchup. The shakes are also excellent, and for people looking to save calories on their sodas, they always offer Diet Dr. Pepper, Coke Zero and a low calorie Lemonade. read more

I would if I could provide 0 Stars. A simple mistake turned into one of the worst customer services experiances in awhile. What a wonderful way for whataburger to start off 2026. An online order from whataburger's website is not them supposedly. Its a 3rd party according to Jalen at the Whataburger #1223 1800 W Elliot Rd Tempe, AZ 85284 and any issues with your order cannot be corrected by the store themselves. I ordered a bacon whataburger that arrived without bacon. When I called to have the issue resolved, I was directed to purchase more food and the missing item will be added to that new order. Who in their right mind would buy more food to fix an issue with the first food order? If you cant get the first order right, how can you expect me to spend more money on a second order in the hopes you get that right? He should have simply told me to reach out to their support via the website to resolve my issue instead of getting rude and telling me to buy more. I will NOT be buying more. I will encourage everyone I know to also not buy MORE whataburger if this is how they plan to treat customers when they make a mistake. read more

The option is in the app they just don't read the order. Had to go back to this store, when we got home everything else was cold. Manager was not nice at all, what happened to customer service. Burgers and grilled chicken sandwich were a big hit with everyone. Unlike a lot of fast food restaurant the grilled chicken tasted like a real chicken breast fresh and flavorful on a soft bun! The only advice would be put a bell on the door if you're not standing at the ready to help customers as they come in. It's called fast food for a reason. read more

I thought since we were in one line I might as well just settle for a Wendy's burger. However, at 10:30 in the morning they don't serve hamburgers. This location has only been open for a week or two. We thought we would try it out. All staff are extremely friendly. We liked the fact that they bring the food to you. The cheeseburger I ordered was OK. Just another fast food cheeseburger. I'm not saying it tasted bad, I'm just saying it wasn't anything special. The fries were good and served hot as well. The service was very friendly and the woman who took our order was very nice. The restaurant as a whole was very clean, however whatever they use to clean the tables and booths leaves a sticky residue that I didn't mind much but is worth noting. My mom and I got the #1 meal and everything tasted fresh and hot. I also really enjoyed the music playing, but that's up to personal taste. Really don't like it when you order something a certain way and they make it their way anyway. I ordered my burger without mustard and it had it. I'm really not into sending stuff back because I do not know what they might do in the back. This location also is not fast at getting orders out. I saw a customer waiting before me and was not happy that he had to wait so long. Food is the same as every Whataburger: You can add bacon to any sandwich, so that's a plus. Service could use an improvement. Usually the front counter is not staffed. This isn't because they're cleaning the seating area. They're usually on their phones or talking to each other about personal topics. Last night, I asked for a chicken sandwich with no sauce or mayonnaise. I didn't say no lettuce or tomatoes. The receipt said "dry" and it was accurate. It was just like a Tyson chicken patty at home with a larger bun. Elwood Blues would have loved it. I give it a two because I usually like the hot food, the 24 hours, and the fact that you can actually walk inside and sit down. However, knowing that I eat here way too often, I'm beginning to suspect that the "new" red sticky spills by the drink station are actually just the same ones each time. I didn't know it was possible to stain stainless steel, but it might be. I suggest you wash your hands and keep your elbows/wrists close so you don't get sticky and pick up the crumbs off the dirty tables. read more

I have mixed feelings about the whataburger classic. It kinda just tastes like a Burger King whopper with mustard. However, I did really like the chili cheese burger. Although, I ordered it with onions and I didn't know they were going to be really crunchy. I don't think any food with onions that you can hear crunch can be good. Like shoot, I would like a burger with my onions. It sort of ruined the after flavor. I'll have to give this another go. read more

The food is not bad but they are so SLOW! There was no line inside or outside and it still took forever to get your food. It took 20 minutes to get a pancake platter and a breakfast bowl.
