Very disappointed, the last time I ate here i got the cod sandwich with fries and cheese curds and got a severe allergic reaction. I chalked it up to something I ate somewhere else. But when I went back ordered the exact same meal it happened again, prior to me ordering inlet them know I had a shrimp allergy. And I found out after I had to use my Epipen, that they fry all their food in the same grease so they fry their Cod an cheese curds in the same fryer as the shrimp. Even after I disclosed to them I had a shrimp allergy they served me food fried in shrimp grease. Needless to say I will not be eating at Culver's again. read more

Hooray for Culver's! What a great fast"ish" food restaurant. They offer high quality burgers, cooked to order, fresh salads that are filling, chicken and fish dishes, and frozen custard for dessert! They always have a special frozen custard of the day in addition to the regular flavors. The atmosphere is Modern and up to date. The staff all seem to be seniors in this location. They offer friendly and efficient service. Order at the front counter, and you get your drink cup and a numbered sign. Sit down with your drink, and your meal is brought to you. I had the grilled chicken salad with cashews-with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Afterwards, I ate my chocolate fudge with cookie dough frozen custard, which was rich and satisfying. I would recommend Culver's as a healthy alternative to a fast food restaurant if you are on the road! * The only con I found for the restaurant is that I detected a "fishy" smell at the front counter at this Tempe location. There's nothing quite like a tasty frozen custard and a burger with fries on a late Friday night. As one of the restaurants open after 10, we headed over for some late night snacking. I had a single scoop of the frozen custard of the day, Georgia peach, and had a bite of the patty melt. The frozen custard was delicious. It was rich, smooth, creamy, with a refreshing peach flavor and peach chunks interspersed in the custard. The patty melt was decent. There was a strong rye flavor in the bread which did distract from the rest of the ingredients in the burger though. Perhaps a double patty would be better for this type of bread. Service was good and our order was made in a short amount of time. The dining area was spacious and clean. Overall a good place for a late night bite. read more

This was our first visit to Culver's in Tempe. It is located at Southern and Rural across from the Tempe Library and west of Walmart. We ordered at the counter and took a number to a table. We ordered the 3 piece cod dinner because it is featured on their TV commercial. We decided to share the 3 piece meal and we were glad we did. It came with 3 very large pieces of fish, a generous amount of french fries and coleslaw along with a roll with butter. The fish was lightly breaded and cooked nicely as it was moist and flakey inside. The breading did not have much flavor. The coleslaw was tasty. The crinkle cut fries could have been cooked a little more. They needed salt which was not on the table. I was too lazy to go back to the counter to ask for some. The roll was very dry but the flavor was good. We did not get enough butter to make it moist. The service was friendly and attentive. The food arrived promptly and was brought to us on a plastic tray. Once are done you take your trash to the trash can. Overall the restaurant was clean but the staff needs to wipe down the tables every time a guest leaves. They quickly removed anything left on the tables like cups or plates but I did not see the tables being wiped down. There were some crumbs on our table which we wiped off. If you are a dog lover there is a lovely outdoor seating area with a fireplace. We did see some people who came in just for desert or had a desert on their tray. Granted we did not try any of the hamburgers, milkshakes or deserts as we just wanted to try the fish. This might be a case of quantity versus quality. The fish was ok but not good enough to make us go back. We thought it was a bit pricey at $23.00 for one order of fish and two drinks. The parking is a little painful because there is construction in the parking lot. read more

This is one of our favorite places to go for a quick delicious meal. We almost always get the burger or veggie burger meal with Custard Sundays. That's right! They have a veggie burger and it's amazing! We have not gotten any of the chicken meals so I can't speak to those but the butter burgers are great. The custards are almost always loaded with toppings. My favorite part about this location is the staff. They are always extremely friendly and helpful. I thought this was a Culver's trait but I recently visited the Culver's on Shea and the staff was completely different-inattentive and rude. Best burger I've had at a fast food joint! The meat is so juicy and you could taste the melted cheese in every bite, that is in the Wisconsin Pub Burger. The chicken tenders were good as well with a side of ranch and ketchup. I also had the shake. I had the vanilla and you could have 2 toppings blended in, I got the cookie dough and Crunch. It was delish! The only problem is that you can't get any of the toppings through the straw so make sure you get a spoon! read more

Another place that will go under, not because of Covid, but because their inept staff will drive them there. Burgers so thin you can practically see through them at NYC prices. French fries that tasted like onion rings, chicken and fish. OVERPRICED desserts and drinks and slow service. The table was pretty clean, though. First and last visit to Culver's...... at least I know what I am getting at the Burger King right down the street. A man/ teenager(?) comes to me and asks if I have any cranberry juice to help his UTI. I said no I don't but you should probably seek medical attention for that- I just want to say that I come here to be respected and eat food. NOT to be treated with no manners and no respect by others including customers!!!
