So, I was pleasantly surprised about going to get a snack from here. This is a small establishment that started during Rona and had moved to a brick and mortar building. The pretzels are a plenty and the options that they have are really good. I loved the pictures the owner has. She told us that she took them when she was a band photographer. Awesome to add to the ambiance of the place. It reminds me of a rocker coffee bar with really really good soft pretzels. The beer cheese is awesome try that. I love this spot so much. The pretzels are so soft, fresh and flavorful. They have a lot of options to choose from classic butter and salt pretzels to pretzel dogs and pretzels bites with a ton of choice on dipping sauces. They even offer gluten free options to satisfy everyone's dietary needs. Service is always friendly. They have great coffee and tea options, I usually get their brewed peach white tea. Their decor is awesome and unique, reminds me a victorian goth meets epic concert shots. Ive heard one of the owners took all the shots too which makes it that much more special. I was super excited to hear that The Salted Knot opened a brick and mortar location. We used to get knots at the Gilbert Farmers Market and at Air Guitar when they offered them there. The knots are decently sized and more than enough for a snack to hold you off til your next meal. The bite sized mini knots are nice for sharing. The ambience of the restaurant is great - the colors and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. As far as the service it fell flat compared to our experiences at the market. I do think we will try again since it seemed like they were still trying to figure things out. We waited about 20 min for a knot and coffee. The knot was dripping with so much butter we had to soak it up with napkins to eat it. And it was warm not hot like I'd hoped for. I did see someone else return theirs as well for it not being hot enough. The coffee on the other hand was scorching - really could barely drink it. Hoping they work out the kinks and get some more folks to help because the line was full the entire time. read more

I've tried The Salted Knot a while back when they were selling pretzels online and they were SO INSANELY GOOD! I was thrilled to hear they were opening up a brick and mortar and my husband picked up a variety of bites today. Wow. Nothing has changed. They are INCREDIBLE! We had the everything, raw sugar and cinnamon, Italian, and butter and salt. They were all so tasty and the dips put them over the top. I normally find them at the Gilbert Farmers market but recently I found out they have a brick and mortar store! My girlfriend and I went in today and we were greeted with a friendly face! The lady at the counter was super nice! I had never tried an affogato and she was adamant that I try theirs. We ended up just ordering a parmesan pretzel and the Italian pretzel bites. They were phenomenal! While we were waiting the lady in the front ended up making us an affogato which was so nice of her! She was right, it was delicious! I came across this vendor today at the Sunday Tempe event today. The pretzels looked really good and similar in appearance to my existing favorite pretzel vendor. I stopped to get a salted pretzel to see how it compares. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. While the pretzel was good, it was too hard in texture for my preference and the pretzel was overpowered by the salt. I also felt the dough was lacking flavor. DT Mesa's first pretzel shop! This place is super cute and yummy! There was a lady who helped us, I think she is the owner - she was super welcoming and very nice. We ordered to-go, and realized we were missing an item. My husband went back since we're close to DT Mesa, and the employee was really nice and offered the bratwurst and a drink. After looking back, my husband realized she didn't charge us for the bratwurst, probably didn't hear him ordering it. We're thankful they offered it to us without charge. We definitely owe them next time! Their customer service is amazing. BTW - the pretzel bratwurst was sooo good!! The interior is so cute. It's very clean and everything is nicely decorated. We kept walking by this place when we went to eat at Nunthaporn (best Thai restaurant in valley). Finally went last night. To be honest low expectations, I never thought much of pretzels. Amazing , 10 out of 10. The fact we waited for our pretzels actually impressed us. They came out warm and delicious. I had the GF bites. It's 5 bites and I thought it would be too small, but it's plenty with amazing cream cheese dip. I had the cinnamon ones my girlfriend had the variety. Love independent shops that deliver. This is such a nice gem in Mesa. We found them through the Gilbert farmers market and we look forward to seeing them every Saturday. We found their shop because we were at the Mesa arts center watching a show and we were so tickled to see them here too! The shop is even more magical inside, but not as magical as their pretzels. Ordered a sugar cookie and a butter and salt pretzel with marinara. Holy moly. The sugar cookie blew my face off. Incredibly buttery. Absolutely the perfect consistency. First time trying out this local gem. Very nice owners and love how close it is to our home. We tried the three's company box, it comes with 3 salted pretzels and 5 sweet bites. So I started off by missing my pick up time, I had the time written down for an hour later. The owners were very nice to send me a text and let me know my order was ready. So I jumped in the car and flew over. I reheated the pretzels at home. Very soft inside with a nice crunch on the outside. I really liked the fine salt crystals versus the traditional coarse. The sweet bites had the perfect amount of sugar. Only thing my wife would have wished for is more butter on her pretzel, that's a personal preference. Saw this place on insta and have been wanting to try it out. Worked out of Mesa for 2 weeks and have visited twice already! Always delicious. Fairly disappointed with our visit, honestly. The good: staff were pleasant. Pretzel bites were decent and fresh. We got the salt and butter. Not so good: the bites are small and they are 5 for $7. You can't mix and match the kinds they have within the 5, you can just get either all one kind or one of each, which seemingly makes zero sense. It took FOREVER to get them to us. Like a ridiculously long time...and there was only an already served family ahead of us in the place. We were about ready to ask if they forgot about our order when they finally came out. So I guess that means they were making them from scratch (milling the flour?) or something in the back. They wrap them in paper and put them in a giant bag and they're pretty lost down in there. I saw the Salted Knot on tv and thought I'd try them. The owners are friendly, fun loving people. My friend and I purchased the same pretzel, butter with salt, but got different sauces. I dipped mine in honey and he got a stone ground mustard which had a kick to it. It was very good. She used to take professional photographs at concerts and has them hanging on the walls. Her husband was a professor at a community college. They opened in 2020 and then Covid hit and had to find something to do. Hence the pretzel shop. I've followed the salted knot on Instagram for a while now and have been wanting to try it! I saw them at uptown market this morning and my husband and I got butter and salt pretzels. They were good!
