Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel
Ellie Z.

My mother and I had heard so much about this place on social media that when we were at the Gilbert Famers Market one Saturday morning, we had to check it out. We were both hungry and cinnamon sugar lovers so we decided to order the cinnamon sugar pretzel. The woman taking our order was super friendly and helped us when the card reader wouldn't read my mom's chip in her card. We sat down at a table and dug into the pretzel. It was delicious, to say the least. It was thoroughly coated in sugar, but our only gripe was that we wished there was more cinnamon. Even though the entire pretzel was packed in sugar and cinnamon (and not much of it was falling off either), it looked like there were more white sugar particles than cinnamon particles. But oh well, it was still hot, incredibly soft, and packed with flavor. It was gone within a minute or two haha! Now, I want to try their other flavors and try out their cheese dipping sauce when I try a savory pretzel option.

Cute place! Just happened to be exploring on the street and came across this place and decided 'Pretzel? Sure!' We ordered a garlic pretzel with beer cheese dip and we were not disappointed. Came out fresh, hot, and delightful!

Gluten Free Knot Flight was delish!!! I would recommend just sticking with the cheese, everything or sweet knots. The Italian was overwhelming but to be GF these are delish!!!!! My husband had the regular sugar cinnamon and he loved it.

Walking along Main St. popping in and out of shops and eateries when we spotted The Salted Knot. What a darling spot, and so many choices of savory and sweet pretzels. Tina was so friendly and explained the options and gave us recommendations. You can tell this place is a local favorite as Tina knew everyone that walked through the door. We opted for the sugar and cinnamon along with a cream cheese dipping sauce...delish!

We've been getting fed this shop through reels and my father so we decided to check it out finally after driving by it for a long time. The atmosphere is super cute and love the look of it. We got to meet the owner and she was super sweet and helped us along our salted knot journey. Loved that everything is made in house and their recipes too. I went with the flight o bites with the beer cheese and yall.... I couldn't get a pic fast enough because it was so good lol. That beer cheese will be the death of me... in a good way! It was all perfect. My husband got the butter and salt pretzel with a sweet cream dip which was perfect for for a salt and sweet combo. We def want to come back and try more options the had and more of the dips! Thanks again to the owner to making our experiment great!

Pretzel very good and fresh, but a little small for $8.50. The included dip was beer cheese, but that was a bit watery. Need to get better AC inside store.

I introduced my friend to The Salted Knot. She was thrilled to know about it. The owner and her husband were just returning to the building. Maria asked how we enjoyed everything. Awesome as usual. Such nice people! Visit them if you're in the area! Street patrols and parking in back of the building.

I'm not usually one to get my panties in a knot, but I have done just that after stopping in at The Salty Knot! Serving the freshest pretzel you will ever have, this place will get your panties all knotted up too! Pun intended! Having started their business DURING COVID, when mom and pop shops were closing, owner/operators Maria and Chad decided to perfect the ultimate pretzel in their own kitchen. They have since branched out to a cute stand alone shop in downtown Mesa! Helping to revive the quaint Main Street of Mesa, service is great! Atmosphere is that funky, everyone is welcome feel. Whether you are looking for a unique sandwich or popping in for an afternoon snack (uh hum, guilty as charged), you will not be disappointed!

We were just down the street at the Mesa Convention Center for a Scrapbooking Expo and my wife and I took her mom in for a treat after a long day on the convention center floor. Same great vibes in the place as when we were in for a Yelp event recently which introduced us to this great new spot in downtown Mesa. I mentioned to the young girl who helped us the previous time that we loved her dancing to the tunes in the place and she thanked us but seemed a little embarrassed. Having spoken with Maria and Chad, the owners, I knew this was exactly the type of employee they desired so I told her to keep on dancing. Then I jokingly turned to the young man who was cashiering and asked to see his dance moves - and he instantly gave us some Saturday Night Fever moves. We loved it !! There is just something wonderful about the entire place - from the staff, to the decor (Maria's music/concert photography), to the well thought out menu full of deliciousness, to the seating - both indoor and outdoor. We each ordered a pretzel and then we got an Apple Jackson Crisp in memory of the young man who recently lost his battle with cancer. I got the Jalapeno and Cheese, my wife got the Everything, we both went for the Maple Mustard (our favorite dip), and my mother-in-law got the Pizza one with nacho cheese. We all loved our choices and relaxed and ate with no rush at all. Just a fantastic way to hang out and unwind from our day. So glad we found this place through Yelp, and we cannot wait for more visits on our own and with more friends and family. The Salted Knot is helping to revitalize the downtown area. Definitely recommend you stop in and enjoy a pretzel yourself.

Strolling in with my casual look of one of my favorite band tees, jeans, and vans to find out that you get a free soft serve ice cream for wearing a band tee (summer promotion). Rock on! Love that they do this since they have a concert goers vibe in their location. Speaking with one of their owners Maria I learned all the photography is from her! How cool! My Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I had tried this place for a Yelp event the day prior, and all we could think about was pretzels so I went back the next day for a to go order to bring to her house! As I'm writing this, I'm enjoying leftovers and craving to try more on their menu because who doesn't love a good pretzel?! And as someone who grew up with Bavarian pretzels and a bestie in Philly who showed me all the best pretzels back east, I am genuinely overjoyed to find a local Arizona shop to satisfy my pretzel cravings!! This trip, we tried this duo with dips: Butter & Salt ($7) with Beer Cheese dip Garlic Parmesan ($8) with Marinara dip These pretzels went on about a 35 minute drive to their destination, and they surprisingly stayed warm and so delicious! Though, they are definitely best enjoyed in the location if you can dine in. I can confidently say I'll be returning as I have to keep trying the various options. Current winner of my favorite is Butter & Salt + Beer Cheese as it is a timeless classic and absolute legend!

Pepperoni pizza pretzel, add jalapeños

We try pretzels everywhere we go and were so excited to see their social media posts, plus they're in Mesa. We're close! I ordered the pretzel dog and the pepperoni pizza pretzel, I added jalapeños. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza pretzel and a salted pretzel. Almost $50 The gal at the register was nice enough and we saw the owner outside talking to another customer. Thought she'd come over to talk to us as we were eating outside but she ignored us and went inside. We ate and left. No big deal. She's prob busy. Clean bathroom and clean, cute place. Pretzel dough is good but nothing unique- nacho cheese sauce tasted like it was from a can. Stone ground mustard was really good! Pepperoni and cheese was fine and the hot dog was good but nothing special. Don't know if we will go back but it was a nice place for a treat.

So many choices.

This is a pretty cute little place. Music themed decor, and comfortable places to sit both in and out make it inviting to hang out in and enjoy a break from walking the shops on Main Street. The staff and owners are super friendly and willing to shoot the breeze without making you feel like they are trying to get rid of you. The pretzels are very good, as they make them fresh to order and they are not just sitting under a heat lamp (I'm looking at you Wetzel). They have a nice variety of flavors so you can find something for everybody.

So awesome. On the hunt for the best pretzel in AZ and this tool the lead! Must get the beer cheese and nacho cheese and blend together!!!! So delicious and cute. A great place for the whole family afternoon treat

Fantastic atmosphere, and the pretzels are amazing. I'm just glad that it's not that close to me or I'd put on ten pounds.

For me, it was a big hike up to the north side- but totally worth the haul! I grew up in the Midwest, occasionally going to one or two German restaurant/ clubs, so this was not an unfamiliar atmosphere to me. It is definitely a "seasoned" vibe, having immediately taken over the space by a former western bar/beer hall that had been in existence for 50+ years. Their menu says "German and Hungarian" but all I read was German. They have a solid European beer selection, including taps and bottles and some cocktails with a German twist. The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (pork) and just overall the meal was as expected as if I was in the Midwest - amazing, delicious, insert chef's kiss. I wish I could have joined the clean plate club. The cucumber salad was flavorful and not too sour/pickley. My friend and I both noted how umami the savory sauce was- not too bacon, not too mushroom. The potatoes were not too salty or under-seasoned. Literally willing to drive up again if/when someone tells me to go. It wasn't horribly busy so it didn't take forever to order and get everything we needed. Our server was super nice and patient. She even gave a bar suggestion that ended up being a nice cherry for the top of the evening.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Zur Kate 4815 E Main St Mesa, AZ 85205 Companion and I decided to eat German food and having eaten here before, it was time for a new review. We arrived at 4:30 and every table was full! Considering that they opened at 4, it was hard to believe it was so. We had to wait for about 15 minutes, but it was worth it. The owners are from Germany and the food is as authentic as it gets. There is live accordion music also on the premises. When we were seated we were immediately brought fresh baked rye bread and real butter. Our drink order was brought and companion had a Warsteiner beer and I had an Ayinger Dunkel which is a dark beer. Both were from the tap and were ice cold. For the main course, companion had smoked bratwurst with red cabbage and German potato salad. I had the jaeger schnitzel which has a mushroom grave, with red cabbage and spaetzle. Both of our main courses were delicious and large portions. Last was dessert. A big piece of apple strudel swimming in a vanilla sauce. To say we were full is an understatement. A motorized wheelbarrow would have been nice to get out to the car! The restaurant is rated with an A from the health department and it shows. When the bill came it was not to be believed. I've spent a lot more for a breakfast than for this dinner. Including 2 large imported beers the entire bill came to $55.00. I give them 5 stars for outstanding authentic food, good service, and cleanliness.

Very nicely decorated with their theme. The street view seating was shaded and the misters were on which kept it cool. Street traffic was a bit loud but not too bad, the front parking buffered the noise. Our server greeted us quickly and was jam packed with suggestions of comparable commercial beers to their brand of beers. Not going to lie, their brand is delicious and actually a bit better than the commercial brand We had their Dead out & Dont F it up. Dead out is a must try, I'm not in any way a dark ale person but this was by far more tasty than the Don't f it up. However both were wonderful. The food is not a reason to go. We both had tacos and shared onion rings. The meat was cooked perfectly but the sauce was less palatable, flavors were too overpowering and drenched sauce. It killed the flavor of the meat itself. When mentioned it to the server, she simply shrugged and stated they do have "heat", I said that it was too much on there, lifted a piece with my fork and it was dripping, covered. Heat was not the issue, too much was. The sauce itself was tasty, but took away from the dish. Had it been on a chip of a fry dipped into it would have been better. Duly noted, next ask for it on the side, let the meat itself shine through. Lastly, the onion ring were truly disappointing. Arrived a very cool room temperature. They arrived few minutes after the tacos, and after reminding the server as we had ordered them. Almost felt as if they were ready on time by the kitchen staff, she was purely overwhelmed and simply, forgot. Small portion and my opinion not an option on my future visit again. Soggy and very greasy, perhaps would have been better if served hot and on time. Worth a visit, may go again. Maybe. Definitely go for the extensive list of brews, here is where they shine.
