Yesterday, Mr. Auntie Anne, the big dude behind the counter at Chandler Arizona Mall, was very interested in belittling me in front of the entire mall for taking a small empty pretzel bag from the bag display on the counter. I had purchased pretzel bites and didn't eat them all, so I attempted to take a bag from the counter (which bag display was out with napkins and drinking straws for anyone to help themselves, if needed, I assumed). The next thing I knew most of the mall knew I had helped myself to a small empty pretzel bag without asking. When I asked why the display was out if customers were not to take them, Mr. Auntie Anne asked if I knew how to ask for items, rather than just taking them. When I asked to speak to the manager, he informed me (and most of the mall) that he was the owner of the business and I could lodge a complaint over his cell phone. When I asked for his cell number and name, he refused to give it to me. The line upstairs at Wetzel's Pretzels was long, but apparently other customers have previously been embarrassed by Mr Auntie Anne's attitude and were willing to wait for an order. My advice is to avoid Mr. Auntie Anne'a at Chandler Mall and to patronize Wetzel's, who I am sure, are trained to treat customers with respect. And a final note to Big Dude Mr. Auntie Anne, you will do well in the business world to understand that customers always remember how you made them feel - belittled and embarrassed doesn't equate with return customers. read more

OMG this was the worst service ever today (2/15/26) at the Chandler Fashion Center Mall and I'm old! Lol. Wife and I walked up to the counter and we were the only customers. Worker there (heavy set dude) said it will be 3 to 5 minutes before we would be served, I thought he was joking. He said it again, "5 minutes before I can get to you". Mind you there was no other customer in front of us. We promptly left and went upstairs to Wentzels. They had a line of customers 5-6 deep and we know why. Extremely disappointed at the dishonest employee who took my order on July 7, 2024/ 5:06pm inside the Chandler Fashion Mall, Arizona location. I ordered a sweet almond pretzel and a small lemonade, she greeted me with a smile and there was no problems with the interaction while taking my order. I asked her, "how long has this pretzel been out?" *pointing at the hot display case* She stated "20 minutes?" Then I proceed to ask her if it was alright to get a fresh one instead. & that I am willing to wait. she said ok, she'll get me a fresh one. I was happy that she was nice enough to do that for me so I tipped her 20%. BOYYYY WAS I UPSET WHEN I SAW HER PUT THE OLD PRETZEL FROM THE HOT DISPLAY CASE IN TO THE BAG, HIDE IT ABOVE THE SHELF SO I COULDN'T SEE IT, WAIT 2 MINUTES BEFORE HANDING ME THE SAME OLD ONE SHE BAGGED UP FROM THE CASE. The dishonesty of that employee made me really upset. I don't like to argue so I just gave the pretzel benefit of the doubt, I stood in the front of the register, took a bite from it & it was HARD. I let my son try it too and he didn't like it. So I asked the same dishonest employee if we could just exchange it out for a cinnamon sugar pretzel instead hoping that it might be softer. The dishonest employee looks at her co worker and her co worker looked annoyed, the coworker grabbed another old regular pretzel from the hot case, "sugared" it up and hands it to me. It did not look like the normal cinnamon sugar pretzel that we're use to eating. The pretzel was not soft or sweet. It was hard, salty, and not that much cinnamon at all; taste was really off. Anyways, I threw one of the old pretzels away, gave the "cinnamon sugared" one to my husband because that man can eat anything and I hate wasting money in this economy. & As for that dishonest employee+ coworker: I hope you guys get the chance to read this feedback to please tell your customers next time that you and your staff do not want to make fresh ones for customers who're willing to wait so that we can take our business elsewhere. Just got my pretzel nuggets. I was very excited to see that fresh ones that just came out. I asked for the fresh ones and the employee told me that they are strictly forbidden from doing that and that cameras are recording. He was regretful about it. Visited on Sunday, 11/16/25. No regular pretzels available when we showed up at the cashier, so we asked how long and the cashier asked the girl making the pretzels how long would it take. She said 5-8 minutes. Then she tells the guy checking us out "no actually I don't want to do that" with no apology or care. He said we can come back through the line later to get a pretzel. We said that makes no sense, if it's 5-8 minutes why can't we just order we don't mind waiting. Attitude girl making the pretzel just says "I don't want to do that". So we said forget it. Really shocked by my experience at Auntie Anne's that has been until now a favorite place to get a snack when at the mall. I ordered a hot dog roll and there were two in the glass case, and pointed to the one I wanted as the other one was over baked and burned but they said they could not because they were ordered to only give the oldest item first. They were on camera and seemed so afraid to do otherwise. It seemed they were afraid of losing their job if they gave me the item I wanted. Maybe the CEO of Go To Foods, the company that now owns Aunt Anne's needs to know about this experience. read more

Great tasting pretzels but horrible service! They have a huge sign above stating buy 3 get 1 free but then cashier refuses to give us the deal and said weekdays only. Nowhere on the sign does it say weekdays only. Very misleading! Their prices aren't cheap. We spent over $60 on small portions and got crappy service. read more

The unfortunately long line might be due to it being the holiday season and Santa as well as the Elf Academy area are right by Auntie Anne's. Does that mean they are Santa approved?! But the long line was my only big letdown from this location and they probably are not this busy any other time of year. Considering the rush, the gals behind the counter did try their best to keep up with the hot pretzel demand. I'd take an Auntie Anne's over a the more prominently located (at least in this mall) Wetzel Pretzel in a heartbeat so definitely worth the wait! This elf approves!! read more

He had always said that Auntie Anne's was the superior mall pretzel. Never really thinking about it, I recently started popping into the mall more and since then, grabbing some soft pretzels became routine. Whether it's the pretzel nuggets with hot dogs or pretzel nuggets with pepperoni, it's always one or the other. So just for funsies, we did a side-by-side soft pretzel throwdown between Wetzel's and Auntie Anne's on who had the superior pretzel. Hands down, we love Auntie Anne's! The crispy exterior from that egg wash makes such a big difference and the inside is fluffy like an alpaca! The people who work here are A LOT nicer too. So while this Auntie Anne's is tucked away in a part of the mall I don't usually go to, I'll go out of my way for their pretzels. You gotta visit your Auntie! read more

Auntie Anne's really is the best soft pretzel. They do an impressive job, managing to make every single pretzel with the right amount of butter and salt. Only reason they don't get 5 stars, the extras are kind mediocre. I love cheese with my pretzel at other places, but theirs just isn't that good and heated would be better. If they just had warm good nacho cheese, I don't think I could resist and would have to get a pretzel every time I walked by! Their rewards program is kind of hard to keep up with though, I tried downloading the app, but then later deleted it due to non use. Then I'm there today and of course, its not installed! Maybe I just don't come here enough, but it seems like a pretty inefficient rewards program. They have good soda too, they keep their machines well calibrated, good corp policy here as this can be a real detractor. They have the best fast food pretzels and a good selection of flavors. Our favorites are the jalapeño pretzel and the cheddar stuffed pretzel bites. Sadly, they've changed the cheese dip over the years. What used to be so good it was a "must" is now the cheap neon colored processed cheese. She told me they had a special on hot dog rolls, 2 for $5.00. However, i asked for 2 Jalapeno rolls and she said they were still cooking. I said OK, i will be back in about 5 min. When i came back again i ordered 2 jalapeno rolls. She gave me my order and a coupon for next time. But, when i got where i was going and opened the bag i had 2 plain hot dog rolls. Auntie Anne's used to be so unhealthy - lots of delicious butter and salt. Too bad they aren't that way still, because I loved the way they originally made their pretzels. Example: Jalapeno Pretzel had jalapeno's in the dough, were baked, and then coated with delicious, fatty, unhealthy butter. Mmmmm. Butter. So, so, so good! This is my favorite place to get a pretzel. Warm, buttery and delicious. I try not to think about how many calories must be in these things for them to taste that good, but I think we all know a pretzel isn't health food. If you're going to have one, why not have a good one? I have tried a few of their different flavors. they have all been good, but I always just end up going back to the original because it's just soft, warm, and yummy. A employee by the name David rudely answered with, "If you're not going to buy anything we're not going to give you our supplies." A fork that cost your company less than $0.01? I just tried Auntie Anne's for the first time last week. It was so delicious! The young man up front, I believe his name was Austin, was so very kind and helpful.
