I visited this on a week night around 9pm. The drive thru had only 2 cars in front of me and the wait wasn't long at all. You can also order outside at their cute windows. There is some seating outside. I ordered one of the chocolate shakes with chocolate in it and it was sooooo good. The portions are quite big too! If you want a quick treat Andy's is a great stop off the road. The custard was yummy and exactly what I wanted in the HOT Arizona fall. The banana split was so big! With hot fudge it was perfect. They didn't give me whipped cream though... Our service through the drive through was quick! Loved their quickness. Tell you how delicious this custard is they had the Keylime custard and they added I want to say almost a whole slice of Keylime pie in that serving. I drove by and noticed a new business. I decided to turn around and check it out. I have never heard of Andy's Frozen Custard. I was told there is also a location in Mesa. The menu is extensive. They only have vanilla and chocolate custard base flavors available. I ordered a chocolate mixed with peanut butter mixed in. It was really good. I had a difficult time deciding because there were so many options. I would probably order something more extravagant next time. There is a drive through, as well as window/counter service. Andy is selling just frozen custard aka "concrete" which is frozen custard blended with your favorite flavor/toppings, there are splits, sundaes, malts, shakes, floats & old fashion sodas. The concretes are so thick and dense, one could easily make a meal out of it. Also, a small is big enough to share with two people. Flavor profile similar to Freddy's or Culver's, all of which are really good. I like Andy's a little more as they have lots of combinations and you can add/remove any topping you'd like. Went to the drive thru on a Sunday afternoon and the drive thru line moved quick. Pro tip: There are a couple full size menu boards in the drive thru line, but you order at the window. Even with the signs saying "order at the window," first timers are often just waiting for a speaker box to come on. read more

We have been here multiple times now. The custard is always delicious. My frustration is the staff. I have always gotten the same thing - a small chocolate custard waffle cone. Today I was asked how many scoops, and I said whatever the small comes with (as I have gotten it multiple times before), and I was given and charged for a child's cone. The waffle cone is huge and literally the tiniest amount of custard was in it. The line was too long for me to ask for a correction. The staff either need to be trained on the menu or the menu needs to be updated to reflect what the staff have to hit on the register. The menu reads - small, med, large, jumbo for cones. read more

Strange policy for ordering custards. Went with my wife who order some cherry infused frozen yogurt in a fairly good-sized container. I only want a single scoop, I am trying to reduce my intake of sweets, so I ordered a single scoop of the cherry infused stuff. Nope, I was told I couldn't get that in in a single scoop and the young lady dutifully pointed out all the other larger sizes. I relied okay, then I guess I totally missed the point, so I naively asked for a single scoop of butter pecan. Nope, you cannot get that either I was told. So, I asked the key question, what can I get a single scoop of? Vanilla and chocolate...not even a nod to strawberry was the reply.
