For me, I enjoy the chance to engage with culture, eat a variety of foods, and support our local Asian community. These events typically take place in the parking lot of the AZ International Marketplace in Mesa. Several food and retail vendors fill up the parking lot with all sorts of yummy food and cool merchandise. There is also a stage with live entertainment. I recently attended the Kamayan Festival version of the night market which was part of the celebration for Filipino American History Month. I had a VIP pass to the Sapporo beer garden and enjoyed the perks that came with it. As much as I enjoy being a part of these festivals, the lines are usually insanely long. I come to these to try new things, but find myself getting discouraged by the long waits. I have learned the best time to come to Asian Night Markets is when they first open if you want to try a variety of food.

I am from San Antonio, Texas and have several favorite taco trucks that I frequently visit…read more Well on Friday I had just finished eating dinner. While I was driving back to my hotel, I saw a sign that said San Antonio tire shop. I was like COOL! Then I saw the taco truck parked on the side.... I couldn't pass the place up. They advertise fresh homemade corn tortillas. Let's just say these are the best corn tortillas I have had. I will be picking up a pack to take back home!! So because I already had dinner, I ordered 1 asada taco, it was really good. I came back Saturday evening after we were done working for the day. I got 4 tacos, I wanted to have some extra for breakfast. I ordered 2 asada, 1 chicharon and 1 carnitas. I ate all four... they were all good! If you have never experienced a taco truck or just want some really good tacos, this is the place to go!

We arrived around 11:30 pm and it was cold outside. There were about three people working and the guy taking the orders was very friendly. We ordered a few tacos and a gordita. The tacos were of carnitas and the gordita was chicharrón. We also got two Mexican sodas. They also had a complimentary hot cinnamon drink that he kindly poured for us. Our food didn't take too long to be ready. The carnitas tacos were sooooo good. The meat was very flavorful. The salsas were also really good. The gordita we unfortunately didn't like as we did not like the chicharrón. It was just a weird texture and the flavor was a no. By no means is this place fancy but the tacos and the service was good. We paid about $22. I originally wanted chicken tacos but he said they were out of chicken. My friend wanted tripitas and they also didn't have any. Several items on the menu he said they didn't have available which was kinda annoying.. The take card and cash!

However, from the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding! Mayte was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, welcoming, and gave us some excellent recommendations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely amazing! And let's talk about the drinks! OMG! The lemonade was perfectly sweet and so refreshing! I mixed mine with Jamaica (hibiscus), and it was the PERFECT combination! This place is truly a HIDDEN GEM, and I'm so glad my family discovered it! Great food, generous flavor, excellent customer service, and such a friendly atmosphere. Hands down, the BEST tacos I've had since moving to Arizona!
