I am from San Antonio, Texas and have several favorite taco trucks that I frequently visit. Well on Friday I had just finished eating dinner. While I was driving back to my hotel, I saw a sign that said San Antonio tire shop. I was like COOL! Then I saw the taco truck parked on the side.... I couldn't pass the place up. They advertise fresh homemade corn tortillas. Let's just say these are the best corn tortillas I have had. I will be picking up a pack to take back home!! So because I already had dinner, I ordered 1 asada taco, it was really good. I came back Saturday evening after we were done working for the day. I got 4 tacos, I wanted to have some extra for breakfast. I ordered 2 asada, 1 chicharon and 1 carnitas. I ate all four... they were all good! This is a taco truck / stand that is located down Broadway right passed Alma school. They have a blue with yellow tent set up with tables in the front so it is a little hard to see. We arrived around 11:30 pm and it was cold outside. There were about three people working and the guy taking the orders was very friendly. We ordered a few tacos and a gordita. The tacos were of carnitas and the gordita was chicharrón. We also got two Mexican sodas. They also had a complimentary hot cinnamon drink that he kindly poured for us. Our food didn't take too long to be ready. The carnitas tacos were sooooo good. The meat was very flavorful. The salsas were also really good. The gordita we unfortunately didn't like as we did not like the chicharrón. It was just a weird texture and the flavor was a no. By no means is this place fancy but the tacos and the service was good. We paid about $22. I originally wanted chicken tacos but he said they were out of chicken. I was in AZ for a baby shower and I wanted to try the Mexican food there because I heard it's absolutely fire... Come to find out, it is ACTUALLY fire. I came to this place & i loved the tacos. It was fast and efficient and they took my order right away and that is important. They had a little sauce bar on the side in case you wanted to make your own! I finally stopped and got my quick Taco fix. I got two Asada Tacos to munch on, and I was not disappointed. I received friendly service and the turn around time is quick. I will have to return to grab more Tacos and try different menu items. They brought the salsa to me, saying I needed some, I only wish it was hotter. But it complimented the Tacos well. read more

The food here is absolutely amazing, I ordered tacos (lengua, carnitas, pollo) and they were great! I also got a water pina colada and it was very delicious and refreshing, The service was great and I had a conversation with one of the employees there who was a lady and she was the sweetest person ever. I tried the chicharon tacos and cabeza tacos, they were so good! I also really enjoyed the sides of sliced cucumber, carrots and radish, they really compliment the food. The only thing I wish they would do differently is double the tortillas because they tend to break easily, other than that everything was perfect. I really enjoyed the red salsa! So bomb! read more

I wish I would have found this place before. They have a variety of food options as well as aguas frescas. The tacos were extremely delicious and make the tortillas right there. The service was great as well, although it was pretty busy, the guy taking the orders was very nice and attentive. They overcharged me and didn't make it right. Just disappointed with the service. We ordered 3 tacos, 2 hot dogs 1 glass bottled coke and 1 coke can price was $28.00 I just paid without thinking of it until I got in my car I seen the receipt without a item list. I went back and the young girl told me they increased their price on the tacos by $1 which is fine I ordered 3 so $3 for each taco was $9. Then the hot dogs they said are also now $3 which we ordered two so that's $6. The sodas couldn't cost more than $3-4 for 1 glass bottle coke and 1 can coke. So where's the rest of of my $9? Who knows but they didn't offer to do anything or a refund and the older lady in charge literally just walked away back into the truck after telling me their prices. In the end I took another glass coke bottle in exchange for part of my $9 they overcharged. I would have just asked for more tacos or something to take home but they also took 20 minutes to make our food and it was hot no shade I wasn't gonna wait any longer. Stopped by here to grab a quick bite at around 7 pm. The place was empty basically, just two other people on the tables. I only ordered two carne asada burritos and they took about 15 minutes to be ready, and to make matters worse the "carne asada" looked like straight-up ground beef cooked on an electric skilled and stuffed into a flour tortilla. People who honestly enjoy real mexican food will surely be disappointed, avoid this place. read more
