We waited for over an hour for our food. No apology or explanation. No drink refill. Food was alright.

We've eaten dinner here 6 times over the last year and a half and each time the staff has very rude and the service has been bad. The food wasn't great, out waters were never refilled, and it took over 10 minutes for a server to take our order... except once when the owner was there. We came here with our friend who has lived in the valley for decades and got great service, so eat here at your own risk. They are open late, but I'd rather get something at Broulim's to make at home. read more

The online menu for this spot looks great. I only wish I would have had a chance to try it. We tried 3 times to make contact via phone to place a to go order and no one ever answered. So we decided to drive to the restaurant and place a to go order in person only to be denied service - "We aren't doing that right now." The food here is great and the atmosphere is even better. A nice little ski bar with a pool table. Seems like a local place. Our waitress was really good and friendly. It is a bit loud with everyone talking and such but it won't stop me from going back there. I ordered the truffle fries for an appetizer, and then had the wontons and mini corn dogs for my meal. My husband ordered a burger and just loves the food here. It was his birthday so the waitress brought him the chocolate cake he ordered with some salted caramel ice cream. He said both were delicious. We specifically went here for the jalapeño margarita, which my family says is the best ones they have ever had. (If I liked margaritas I would have tried it!) read more

If you're looking for a family friendly bar with a great beer selection, this place is perfect. However, I ordered a couple of their specialty cocktails. If it's a specialty cocktail on their menu, I'd hope the bartenders would know how to make them. The key lime martini was terrible, and the waitress offered to bring me a different drink, so I traded it out for a chocolate martini, which was drinkable. Buffalo burger was flavorless, and the pecan salad was mediocre (though their quantity of pecans was awesome). Fries were fantastic. Waitress was super nice and attentive. The atmosphere was nice, and they use old skis to hold beer mugs in their decor, which was pretty cool. read more

Surprisingly good meal. We received a recommendation from our fishing guide and it did not disappoint. The Royal Wolf is the spot many locals appear to haunt. The salads are excellent and there is a diverse menu of entrees. The Royal Wolf has a full bar, but we stuck to beer and mixed drinks. The scene is about half bar, half restaurant. We had a great spot on the patio. Menu has lots of interesting options. Unfortunately, service was so slow. We waited 2 hours for our entrees. The beer list was not up to date, so we were given beers that we hadn't even ordered. The food was tasty and portions were good. The other negative was that there were 2 large dogs roaming the patio, begging for food. The restaurant staff did not seem concerned about the dogs, so we had to ask the owners to keep them away from our table. I really wanted to like this place. The reviews are pretty good, and the inside seating was full, making me think "this'll be great!. We ordered a margarita, large Cobb salad and a Buffalo burger. We were seated at 7:00. Our drink came at 7:20. At that time, Michelle, our server, took our food order. Forty-five minutes later our food was delivered. The Cobb salad was spot on, but at room temp, suggesting it had been sitting out awhile. The Buffalo burger was lukewarm and significantly undercooked (very raw and cold in the middle). The margarita was excellent. While we waited for our order at least three other tables that ordered after us received their food. Now, let me state that we are fit, young looking seniors, and only a party of two. The average age was probably 30 or less, and the average group size was about four. That should make no difference in the level of service you receive, but we feel it did on this night. My usual 25% tip was cut in half, and I held my tongue, letting this review speak for itself. Our server was pleasant, but the service was poor. The food preparation and presentation was well-below average, and downright dangerous considering the "raw cook" on the burger. It should be quite evident we'll not be going back, and cannot recommend to others. read more

We came with friends and got seated quickly and gave our orders. We did not see our food or waitress for 45 minutes. My friends son ordered the chicken tacos and found inside the taco a metal hook. No one really wanted to eat after that. The manager took 25% off the meal because of the metal hook but it was already such a disappointing experience it didn't seem enough. A local bar - not divey, not trendy, just cool. The potato skins and truffle fries were supreme. My husband got a salad and said it was great! Mom got a burger with a siracha mayo - amazing! Every staff member is a local and can give you some great tips on where to hike, climb, ride, get in the water, etc. Full bar with some local brewery selections. We ordered take out last week (large group, two orders). Our food was average but the fries were dried out and cold. The staff seemed disorganized both times. The place did not seem particularly clean. There were very few masks being worn, and if they were, it was inconsistent, which was upsetting. Most of the wait/kitchen staff seemed to be masked most of the time. However, patrons were walking around with no masks at all, both in and out of the building. It did not seem that there was any concern or enforcement of masks. This caused me to question if any other COVID protocols were being followed. This was very disappointing, especially since other businesses we have been to in the area are working SO hard to follow guidelines and mandates to stay open. This is the best restaurant ever. Literally nothing is open in Idaho after 9/10 pm. This place has bomb food (kitchen closes at 10) and holds it down till 2 am with drinks! Definitely go here if you are in need of some good bar food. read more
