The Royal Wolf was a fun place. It's a really great restaurant/bar setting with lots of TVs. There was a good crowd enjoying drinks and watching football, and the meal I ordered was tasty as well. I'll be back whenever I'm on that side of the state. read more

We went here because we couldn't find another place with no wait. First things first, it's not really a restaurant so much as a bar with food. It was loud, crowded and kind of a "locals only" vibe. The food was ok (exactly what I would expect of bar food) and the wait staff was nice. The huckleberry martini was delicious and the prices are reasonable. We ordered chips and salsa and the chips were clearly just poured out of a bag and the salsa out of a can. The tacos I got were very bland and unremarkable, but the Caesar salad was excellent! read more

The service was very poor. But the food was very good. The waitresses didn't pay much attention to what was going on and spent most of the time flirting and DRINKING with the men she was serving. If you aren't a table full of men, don't expect to get good service. read more

We were camping nearby and thought we'd give this place a try. I ordered the bangers and mash. Not something I'd normally order, but it came highly recommended. OMG!! It was out of this world! This has been a staple in Teton valley since we moved here 16 years ago. The menu continues to grow and develop. Our go-tos are the clausen salad, the buffalo chicken sandwich, the philly and the fried green tomato sandwich. And the pb&j! (Pork belly and jicama) And if Eric is bartending, you should probably get a martini. Best in the world. read more

Great place, wonderful staff. The only bad thing about this place is some of the shallow and uppity clientele ( actually just one lady by the name of Rosie ) whom feel they are gracing the place with their presence, when they REALLY are just taking decent people's oxygen. read more

I base my 5 star rating on 3 dinners during a weeks stay in Driggs. There are other good and very good restaurants in Driggs but the Royal Wolf combines very good food at reasonable prices with great service. The fried calamari and lobster ravioli, a special, are excellent. The pork chimi is very good but the sauce got it a little soggy. The bartenders, Bennett and JayJay make excellent martinis, as good as I have had anywhere! All of the waitresses are friendly and efficient even when the place gets busy. Jess stood out. I enjoyed sharing stories with the local clients and made some friends that I will look for on my next ski trip to Grand Targhee. read more

Great spot in Driggs, be weary of google's mapping, we had friends that had trouble finding it. It's across the street from the phillips 66 and down a few doors, look for the sign in the road. Great homemade food for not a lot of dough. Friendly folks (heck, everyone is friendly this way it seems), good music, and cold beer. And free wifi is a nice bonus. read more

The perfect out of the way place for locals to meet up and enjoy a terrific, broad menu. Visitors who stumble upon this place feel like they just found a hidden box of treasure. Solid offering of local beer on draft and a good mix of botled beer, in addition to a full bar. The coolest thing are the mugs lined upon the bar ceiling... a small piece of real estate giving the owner a $.75 discount on draft beers. If you are fortunate enough to own a piece of these it makes you feel like a real esate tycoon.... only somehow its even better than that. read more

Stopped in about 9:30 p.m. on 8/24 for a quick bite to eat. We were given menus by the bartender, a tall guy in a blue shirt, didn't catch his name. When we were ready to order we waved him down he acknowledged us and then started to wash some bar glasses. I walked over and let him know that we were ready to order and he looked at me and mumbled something and then went back to doing dishes. We waited a bit and were never acknowledged again. I went for lunch over the summer and had a good experience. Decided to revisit for dinner this fall and the experience was terrible. We were seated right away and got our drink and food orders in relatively quickly. We ordered margaritas and shrimp to start.. neither were that great - plus you have to peel your own shrimp. Then we sat and waited. We waited for about an hour for our entrees to come out. Our waitress never checked in or apologized about the wait. I finally walked over to inquire about how much longer it would be. My folks still had a two hour drive ahead of them. We got two fish dishes and a dinner salad. Fish was way over done and terribly dry. Nothing great about any of the entrees. Over cooked veggies + mashed potatoes + fish that was forgotten about in the oven for almost $20/plate. Quality and service were just really disappointing. I won't be going back. read more

We ate lunch here today while riding through Driggs. The bartender greeted us and welcomed us with a smile. We had a salad, fish and chips and the other couple with us had nachos and wings. The salads were fresh and of good size, they were topped with shrimp and chicken the girls said they were excellant. The nachos were huge and very good. The wings were awesome. We had them "naked" with hot sauce on the side and they were served with celery, carrots, and blue cheese. I was disappointed with the fish & chips. They came out looking like they were from Long John Silvers and tasted like Gorton's fish filets from the freezer section back home. The home cut French fries and slaw that came with the meal was very good. This place has cold beer and a friendly atmosphere where the locals hang out. Even though my fish wasn't that great I would Definetly come here again, I would just order something different. Oh, and don't forget to bring a fly swatter with you, they buzzed the table the whole time we were here. So if your in Driggs and looking for a cozy little hang out for some good cold beer, bar food, and friendly service this is the place! This place was good in the summer, it seemed like the perfect place to go for some post ski grub. Good food! My husband got a beef burger and I got the buffalo burger. Very big portions as well. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff.

The Wolf feels more like a bar than a restaurant, although it does have tables and a couple booths, some of which are a decent distance from the bar. It did not feel very clean, greasy sticky tables and a carpet floor. My expectations went way down when we first walked in. The server was nice, but not very attentive. Although she did recommend their house bleu cheese dressing which was delicious! I got the large Cobb salad and it was really good, not iceberg lettuce like I expected. So that was a pleasant surprise. The chicken tenders for my kids were good and my FIL liked his trout. But the fries were weird, like overlooked or something. So if you don't care about hauling two kids to a bar, you'll get some decent food. read more

Went for lunch yesterday with coworkers. I ordered the veggie burger and after waiting and waiting some more it was a disappointment. Our wait time was well past reasonable! While I am accustom to a limited vegetarian menu in cattle country, if you list a Veggie Burger it seems a reasonable expectation that's what you would get. What I got was a black bean burger which is not the same thing - disappointing! Further, our waitress seemed to practice the "less is more" life philosophy. read more

Food was good, drinks were cheap. Definitely a dive bar. Environment gets less child friendly as the night goes on. Locals love the place, that's how I heard about it. Unfortunately we were hoping for a better experience. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I think "Yelpster" respect honest reviews. Although the waitress was friendly, the service was horrible. It took a long time to get our food and then she never came back to see if we needed anything. The food was bland and the "famous truffle fries" were over cooked and tasted like cardboard.
