    Spudsy!!

No trip to St. Anthony would be complete without going to the Star Bar. It's very divey classy and eclectic all at the same time. You will bump into the friendly ranchers and pretty locals who certainly have lived some colorful lives. Tree branches adorned with christmas lights frame the walls and ceilings, making you feel like you are drinking under the stars in a forest like mystical den. Mystical you say?! Well there is a very groovy vibe here, i kid you not. And to top it off the bartenders are great. I love the spuds doggie lamp, and and I love that they have microbrews and cocktails too!

I was cut off after 3 drinks. What are you in business for? Evidently not to service bar customers!

From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping onto a movie set in the best way possible. First off: the saddle bar stools. Yes, they're real saddles, and yes, they're as fun as they sound. The rustic wood interior, antler chandeliers, and classic country vibe make this place feel authentically Wyoming without being cheesy. It's lively, loud, and exactly what you hope for in a legendary cowboy bar. The drinks are solid and poured generously. Expect classic cocktails, cold beer, and whiskey options that fit the setting. Prices are about what you'd expect for a popular spot in a tourist town, but the atmosphere makes it worth it. If there's live music, even better. The dance floor fills up quickly with a mix of locals, visitors, and the occasional person in full Western gear. It's not a quiet, intimate cocktail lounge. It's a high-energy, boots-on-the-floor kind of place. Perfect for a fun night out, people-watching, or just soaking in that Old West charm. Pro tip: Go later in the evening if you want the full party vibe. And go later if you definitely want a photo on those saddle seats! It's practically a rite of passage!

It is the definition of an iconic Western watering hole. The atmosphere is unbeatable--sitting on the saddle barstools is a rite of passage, and the live band they had playing was absolutely fantastic. They really know how to pick talent that keeps the energy high and the dance floor moving. The service was also top-notch; despite the crowd, the staff was attentive, fast, and kept the drinks flowing with a great attitude. The Pro Tip: Enjoy the neon lights and the music, but skip the food upstairs. It's just not where they shine. Instead, head downstairs to the Million Dollar Steakhouse. The quality difference is night and day--the steak was phenomenal and well worth the visit. Come here for the legendary vibes, the great service, and the live music, but save your appetite for the basement!

Cafe Genevieve - Pig Candy - $16 for 4-5 pieces. More sweet than it is bacony. Good though!

Meal prices are about what you would expect for Jackson... overpriced for eggs and pastries. People rave about the "pig candy" which is 4 pieces of candied bacon they give you for $16. It was good and crisp, but so sugared that you honestly can't really taste the bacon part of it. I got the egg platter with sausage. The bread and sausage were great. Really nice quality. My daughter got Eggs Benedict which she also liked. They keep your coffee full. There is also a bar to eat at if you are solo and are looking for that option.

Cafe Genevieve does them very well. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was rich and flavorful with a plentiful amounts of sausage. The eggs done over medium were also good. A bowl of fruit was ordered with fresh blueberries and ripe strawberries. Again, a generous amount. Cafe Genevieve has a staff that hustles. The food is done well and the portion sizes are large. The costs are a bit high with an average spend of $25 to $35 pp not including a morning cocktail for a basic breakfast. If you are hungry, stop by Cafe Genevieve for a solid breakfast.
