I LOVED this place!
Heading down South to celebrate a friends birthday he said we were going to meet up at a new pizza joint in his neighborhood.
I am always dubious when going to a new place but my fears were quickly put to rest. I fell in love with the industrial design interior the minute I walked in. Polished Cement Floors, Wood Booths, Polished but raw weld metal mixed with wood and metal light fixtures paired with warm lighting was totally inviting, casual but elegant.
Our server, Lisa, was right on top of things when we walked in the door and had great suggestions that lead a couple of us who didn't want beers, to try two of their signature drinks. "The Hemingway Daiquiri" is a lovely mixture of Bacardi Rum, Maraschino Liqueur, Lime and Grapefruit Juice served in a martini glass. "The Phinney Royal Fizz" is a dry refreshing mix of Gin, Raspberry Chambord Liqueur, Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice and Prosecco, served up in tall glass tumbler (It was like two gin and tonics wrapped up in one) They also have a great selection of beers and wine.

The menu is plentiful with sandwiches, salads and pizza choices, it was hard to choose but the birthday boy settled on "The Two Bird" pizza which is chicken, gorgonzola, spinach and artichoke hearts on a pesto base. The crust..the crust...the crust! Let's just say after two years in New York I long for the thin but bready foldable crust that is hard to find on the West Coast, Ridge has it NAILED! We ordered the 18" which had 12 slices, plenty for four people when paired with one of their family style salads. We opted for the Greek Salad: Cucumbers, Kalamata Olives, Tomatoes, Feta and Romaine dressed with a whisper of vinegarette.

I think their prices are on point for what you get. Just our pizza and salad would have been less then $10 per person if we had not ordered drinks. For quality food, great service and a fun atmosphere a TRUE BARGAIN!
You also got to love that they have "Charity Pizza's" which donate partial proceeds to: The Zoo, Firefighters, and the Phinney Ridge Community Center.
Our server Lisa, went ABOVE and BEYOND! Without even being asked, she brought us candles, a lighter and napkins for the birthday cupcakes we had.
When I thought it couldn't get better I ordered a cup of joe and smiled big when a hot steamy mug of "Herkimer" Coffee was placed in front of me...yes, I am a wee bit in love with Ridge Pizza and will be back!
OH! My only small thought of change would be to maybe turn down the music a notch or two so conversation could be heard a wee bit better. read more
