We've been here a few times. We really like the beer and cider selection! The staff is always really nice too. The pizza is great and I love that they have a white pizza. The reason for the 4 stars is because the pizzas are quite small for the price, compared to other comparable style pizzas in the area. A good location on The outskirts of downtown Ballard so here is usually plenty of street parking. The pizzas smelt good and they have a vegan option! I thought the IPA was decent, and they also do samples. There is a water station with reusable cups which is always something we look for. They also do events like trivia. It was empty at lunchtime on a weekday, but I'm sure it's more crowded on weekends. They have some lovely plants and plenty of seating, including out on the patio. Prices were a tiny bit higher than I am used to. read more

Wasn't too busy when we stopped in! Ballard Beer Box is off the main strip so there isn't a ton of foot traffic. It's a bit dark inside so you might think it's closed when it's not. Huge selection of drinks, spacious interior and options for outdoor seating out front and in the back. The food was good - great space for drinks, meet up's, and pizza! read more

Sweet tap and bottle for sale place! My folks and I were up visiting Seattle and while this wasn't on our stop list, stumbled upon it after visiting the Nordic Museum down the street. Super nice lady behind the counter when we came in. Prices were Seattle-good. And their selection is extensive, saw some bottles we didn't know about and their house Rose was crisp and not too sweet. Casual and fun place, clean and the outdoor area has tables, games and such. If I lived here, would be a great go-to spot. I wish there was a 4.5, as the only challenge, was the food. Don't get me wrong their house-made pizza is great, but, for the not so hungry folks, some slice options or just more snacks (chips, packaged stuff or nuts), only had one bag of chips for sale, would be appreciated. Only whole pies here. But again, awesome! And I see that they have limited space and are trying to do only hot fresh, so this is just a me thing. Will be back up in July and will visit again! I've been here dozens of times over the past couple years - Great pizza and beer selection. They used to serve Sicilian style pizza that was amazing, but it appears they don't serve that anymore (or don't advertise it). The wine selection is hit or miss - they typically sell more expensive wine bottles (over $35) with little variety versus other businesses in the area. The boxed wine sold to drink there isn't great - would be nice if they had better options. There also has been lots of staff turnover. Overall, good spot, but it seems that ownership / management is holding them back from its full potential. Social media / website advertising isn't consistent with daily offerings (they sell slices daily, but it's not advertised well) and full of AI slop that's very off-putting. Again, good neighborhood spot, but it's frustrating to see miscues by management. This place has potential to be absolutely amazing. read more

We have now ordered delivery twice and this is some of the best pizza in the city. Certainly the best margarita pizza around. It's absolutely excellent. I'm looking forward to trying more on the menu. But four pizzas in and I'm hooked. I can't comment on the service or ambiance, but delivery orders have been accurate and well made. I live near by and have been waiting for the space to open. One my neighbors and I swung in for a glass of wine just to check things out a few weeks ago. Yesterday a group of five of us visited. We had two pizzas and a bruschetta , a bottle of wine, one Phoney Negroni and I had a beer from the cooler. Just something to know cause I didn't see a sign and didn't know till I was paying that there was a corkage fee. I'd say unless you really want try something in a can or bottle from the large selection of chilled items, go with something on tap if you don't want to pay the fee. The pizzas were good we had the margarita with arugula and the pear apple gorgonzola bruschetta. We really enjoyed the bruschetta it's on pizza dough and more oval shaped than the pizza. Stumbled upon this spot after sailing one day and it was a great find. Bright and cheery interior, AWESOME selection of interesting beers and ciders, and my favorite style of pizza with fun toppings! My friend and I got a beer each, split a pizza and sat by the window to watch the day turn to night. I would definitely come back here for the good vibes, reliably good pizza, and fun and unique beer discoveries. Even being a newer business at the time, the service was genuine and friendly. One person was working so the line does move slow. Worker didn't have any recommendations which was a bit odd for a tap house. Tried a porter and picked up a few beers to try at home. Went for the ambiance, will return for the food. The interior is charming and lots of folks were catching up with friends here, dogs by their side. The drink selection was maybe a little smaller than I was anticipating but we easily found something to enjoy. There are a few games and we happily passed our time with some cribbage. There's also a happy hour from 2-6pm. The real standout is the pizza. The Grand Masala was phenomenal. I did not have high hopes after seeing that all pizzas had to wait for one little pizza oven to cook. But man the sauce was perfectly spiced, there were beautifully caramelized onions, hot peppers and cilantro were expertly interspersed, and the paneer had a great tang. My husband equally enjoyed his King BBBQ. The pizzas are a little much for one person, but honestly it was so good I wouldn't have wanted to share it. Side note: the menu boards have a gray background with small white text so it was difficult to read. I wouldn't have gotten the drink I did if I could have easily read the details. read more

Just a few people came in to get pizzas to go, but I was really surprised by how little foot traffic there is, despite the size of the restaurant, and how frequently I see this name on Best Of lists. Really enjoyed this new spot in Ballard! Ballard Beer Box had a great selection of beers on tap and a huge selection of beers for purchase out of their wall of cold cases. They also had wine and nonalcoholic choices. This new space included a huge tropical mural on the main wall and there are large plants throughout the space which create a very welcoming and casual vibe. There is seating both inside and outside with many tables that seat up to 6 people, so it's a good place for groups. They are serving up delicious pizzas with unique toppings. We tried the Grand Masala which had a tikka masala base and was topped with paneer cheese, cherry peppers, and cilantro. I am already craving it again! read more

My new favorite pizza place! I was doubtful that a restaurant named "beer box" would serve great pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas are a bit pricy but they have happy hour from 2-5pm on mondays-thurs. I really enjoyed the Princess Bianca and Pine and Swine pizzas. I havent tried the Godfather but it's on my list since it looks like they use the same mini pepperonis as Prince Street Pizza. There's a ton of seating + games inside. read more
