Our little family enjoyed a nice early dinner on the patio of Watershed on a recent sunny day. The food here is quite good. We ordered a basic margherita pizza, house salad, pretzel, and corn chowder. The corn chowder was a revelation; it was a special, but I hope it comes back in the colder months. The pizza was also good: balanced seasoning, snappy crust, flavorful ingredients. The salad was basic but solid, and the pretzel was totally forgettable. The inside of the restaurant has lots of seating and a vibe that manages cozy and a touch modern. The outdoor patio is mostly covered, which is a lovely touch for those who don't want to bake but still want to enjoy a sunny day. The service was responsive but across the board not too friendly. When I showed with my two little kids, I was told gruffly that the wait for outside would be half an hour. I said we would wait anyway, and sure enough about 7 mins later, we were seated. Fine, just a misjudgment. But then our server scolded my 3 year old twice and overall did not seem welcoming. Many other tables had kids, and the place gives big family vibes. My kid was standing up and down on the seating part of a picnic bench and otherwise sitting on the floor off to the side where no one was passing. He wasn't menacing anyone, and I wasn't ignoring his behaviors. The server's attitude means we will probably not make an effort to return--so many other places to go where bringing kids is welcomed that I don't need to have the kind of experience I had at Watershed That being said, the pizza is good and worth a try! read more

I got the ricotta salsiccia pizza and as you can see in my picture it looks like a frozen pizza that someone microwaved. In my opinion this does not appetizing at all. For $16 at 9 inches I was not pleased. It tasted very average but there was a strong garlic flavor only in the center of the pizza. We got the cookie boat for dessert. Good potion size but the cookie part was not very good. Overall I would not recommend this place and would not come back. The reviews are probably not deceiving you. For my 40th birthday party, I wanted a family friendly place with great food and cocktails. We rented the mezzanine at the Watershed and had a great experience. Their event coordinator made sure all of our food was ready to go prior to the day of the party, and our server took excellent care of us. We were able to bring a laptop and play YouTube music videos on the TV and isolated sound system. There was no event fee, just a minimum order amount that we easily hit. A small group of us met at Watershed for their Tuesday trivia (starts at 7, with a second session at 8). Trivia at the Watershed is a lot of fun! We requested a table for 7, but a couple of folks in our party couldn't make it due to illness, so there were ultimately only 5 of us. Even still, the wait staff was understanding and accommodating. I'm partial to Watershed's pie folds, and particularly like their Puebla Verde. This is a vegetarian option, with an olive oil and garlic base, roasted corn, jalapeño, red onion, roasted red peppers, beecher's cheddar, pico de gallo, cremed avocado, and queso fresco. It is nicely spicey. Two of us opted for the Puebla Verde, and were both happy with it. There were a variety of beers and ciders ordered across our table, and we all enjoyed the abundant draught options. This is the 2nd time we've come in for trivia night, and plan to continue into the future. Thanks, Ben and family for providing such a great place for a fun and relaxing evening. BTW, there's usually tons of parking, since Watershed is near the Northgate P&R and Northgate Link station. But...on evening when there's a game downtown, the nearest lot can fill completely. We had dinner here this week, and I loved the chill vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, fun wall decor, and a well labeled menu for allergins. We arrived for happy hour and were seated inside. Despite being seated inside, the bugs were a bit of a nuisance flying on your face, landing in wine, and your water glass.. was a bit distracting. Our server was friendly and prompt and got us drinks and the Esquites dip with delicious gluten-free crackers. We shared the spicy chicken pesto gf pizza, which was tasty, and the shed greens salad, which had fresh ingredients. Everything came out in good timing, and we enjoyed our dinner. I had lunch here today and experienced nothing short of a 5 star review. The ambiance in here is very uplifting due to the decor, music, and of course I love when there are TV's with sports on at the bar. I GREATLY appreciated that they held our table even though we were late to our reservation due to a transportation issue. On this day there was a small performance happening inside and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some fun drink specials and I ordered the Hawaiian pizza with caramelized onions added. The crust was so yummy and the small size was perfect for one person. I feel that the pricing was reasonable. A couple friends and I met up here for dinner on a weekday evening before Christmas. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and made some recommendations for us (thanks for recommending the Festive AF drink - it was delicious, even for anti-eggnog folks!) The best way I can describe the drink is that of melted peppermint ice cream.
