THE SHORT OF IT: Very tasty food with large portion sizes, fantastic service, extremely comfortable seating, but beware, pricing is on the higher side. Great for large groups and also family friendly. THE INSIDE: -Lots of Seattle Kraken memorabilia on the walls, including sweaters from the Seattle Metropolitans. Upscale pub at its best. -Bathrooms are large, clean, easily accessible, and well stocked. -The seats are very heavy, wooden, and well made, all cushioned and cloth covered. I appreciate that it feels like an actual seat instead of a crappy piece of metal that a lot of sports restaurants seem to be transitioning towards. You will be comfortable. -Many tables overlooking three of the four sheets of ice. (Virginia Mason is the only sheet that the restaurant doesn't overlook.) -Full bar with bar seating available. FOOD AND DRINKS: -I've been coming here for years for Kraken watch parties or beer league games, and have never had a disappointing meal. Whether it's appetizer fries or a full entree or a simple cocktail, it's all been in a scale of good to great. -The crispy brussel sprouts are a highlight. Savory, sweet, perfectly cooked, and huge portion size - should be split between a minimum of two people. -The pricing is hiiiiigh (like everything else these days, I suppose). Expect minimum of $12 for an appetizer and $18-$45 per entree. It was far more reasonable the first year they were open and it's all gone up at least 30%. That being said, the serving sizes are big, and one entree could easily be split between two people. -The bar has hundreds of choices. Cocktails are fantastic. The Kraken Hat Trick was particularly nice for the summer weather paired with the World Cup slider trio and brussel sprouts. Easily fed two people. -The nachos are light and while not covered in any traditional cheeses, I rather enjoyed the spicy aioli with cotija on top. Everything tasted very fresh and the chips were thick, proper tortilla chips. Again, portion size is massive and great for splitting. SIDE NOTES: -There are discounts available for players (kids league and beer league). -Kids get an activity sheet, packaged crayons, and a covered cup of water with a straw. -I want to take a star off the rating just on pricing alone, because this is more casual pub than fancy restaurant, but considering all of the positive experiences I've had here with food, drinks, and service, I can't do it. -There is a Starbucks inside the facility with some food options, so I suppose if you're wanting a cheaper option for food to munch on while overlooking the ice, that's your only alternative to purchase on-site aside from generic concessions downstairs. read more

We went here for the first time today to meet family and watch the World Cup. I had the rigatoni Alfredo, my husband had the fish and chips and our son in law had the salmon rice bowl. First there was such sticker shock at the prices of everything here. Service was good at first and then my husband asked for a refill on his ice tea, and then he asked again, and asked again still no refill. Finally a different server came and after the fourth request he finally got a refill. For almost a hundred dollars for lunch for 3 people I expect better service. Pretty neat bar at the kraken ice rink. Was here for my partners game. Decided to grab a bite and people watch before his match. Service was good, lots of people ice skating below and at one point we were watching people practice or play within their league. Decor is pretty cool, lots of pucks and sport memorabilia. I had to wait out a doctor's appointment for my wife nearby so I stopped here for the first time. Ironically it was to watch the start of the Super Bowl in an NHL themed bar. I sat at the bar, had a Coors Light and found they had a Super Bowl special with 12 wings and a draft beer for $18.95. Of course I had to try that. I had the 12 wings with Maple Siracha flavoring along with another Coors Light. The food came out fairly quickly and was served with the traditional carrots and celery sticks and blue cheese. The wings weren't as flavorful as I thought they should be. I didn't taste any real siracha heat and certainly no maple flavor. But they were otherwise cooked just right and was an ample amount for one person. Overall for my first time here, I was pretty impressed with the decor and layout of the bar and grill. There are plenty of windows on the side facing the ice rinks below and a private dining area in the back. There is a lot of seating throughout and plenty of TV's and a plethora of Seattle historical and current hockey memorabilia. I like the vibe here. What a neat find! Random Wednesday on break and felt like lunch so we stopped here. There was a community ice skating session that was fun to watch while we waited for our food. Waiter was nice, nothing special but was efficient and accurate. We asked him some questions about the rinks and he was knowledgeable. The food was good! My sandwich was on crusty bread and filled. The husband enjoyed his and we enjoyed the crispy sprouts, even if they aren't terribly crispy. The vibe was a hockey sports bar. I've been to 32 Bar & Grill at least once a week for the past 3 months. I have no idea how the business remains open. Bar service is abysmally slow. I've sat at the bar for 15+ minutes without being helped. I've had beer glasses sit empty for over 10 minutes while the bar staff is too busy gossiping with one another to help. Not only has this happened multiple times, but it's such a regular reoccurrence that it's expected at this point. Being a hockey bar (quite literally being attached to the Kraken Iceplex), you'd assume they'd have hockey on a majority of the TVs unless asked. Maybe the NHL Channel if a game isn't being broadcast. Nope! I've had to do everything but beg just to get a hockey game on instead of a college basketball game or SportsCenter. You have pucks in the bartop and windows that look out on ice rinks, but for some reason but putting hockey on the TVs seems to be a chore? The food, on the other hand, is good. It just happens to be priced at least $3-5 more than it should (which is a recurring theme for Kraken-run food choices). The pizzas are good, the fish and chips are tasty, and the smashburger special for Kraken game days is delicious. Honestly if it wasn't so convenient, I wouldn't bother at all. I have no idea if the bar staff is there to make money or not; based on attitude and service, definitely not. The default tip options of 18%, 20%, and 25% probably help that, as not many people in Seattle will hit the "no tip" button with the server holding the handheld. Two stars is generous, in the end. Zero is probably more appropriate. This place could be a fantastic place to watch hockey, and one of the premier hockey bars in the state. Unfortunately the staff just don't seem to care about doing more than gossiping. read more

Normally I would be wary about giving such a high rating to a bar in an ice rink, but I really have no notes for this place. Tables and chairs are all very clean, and the staff is super friendly. Our waiter was super nice and helpful with menu insights, as well as overall knowledge of the Kraken team. We ate here twice in a row and got a variety of different items. Crispy brussel sprouts- our absolute FAVORITE menu item. They were so delicious and I highly recommend getting these to split with the table. Summer harvest bowl- this was pretty good but the ratios were a little off. There were huge chucks of beats that I think should have been half the size, and the way the carrots were cut made them hard to pile on the fork and I also had to cut down. Other than that it was a good healthier option on the menu. Margarita Pizza- surprisingly delicious. The dough is hand tossed and was just really yummy. We also got fish tacos and the hamburger. Both were very good. Overall I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. This is a great option for people who just got off the ice and are looking for a bite. The food is delicious, area is clean and very well decorated, and the service is excellent. read more

Super cool spot right at the Kraken's practice facility. With views overlooking the hockey rink, it's a great place to grab a bite and enjoy the ambiance. I can only imagine what the vibes are like during a game. I got the fish and chips and I thought it was alright. The fish had way too much batter in my opinion. At first glance, they look huge but after you take a bite, you can see how much batter they used. The fries and slaw were good, no complaints there. In all, this is a cool place to grab a bite/drink. Located on the 2nd floor of the Kraken Community Center on the northwest end of the building. My visits were during a 3-day hockey tournament, so my experience may be slightly different than the norm. The decor within 32 Bar & Grill is incredible, packed with tons of hockey and Kraken inspired wall and ceiling coverings. The bar is well equipped with what seems like miles of liquor as well as two draft towers with eight beers on draft! I'd say this place is well stocked! The 32 Bar & Grill was packed every night, and day, during the tournament with almost all seats in the house taken, so finding a seat was pretty tough. Unfortunately, for the majority of the tournament the bar wasn't prepared for the drinking crowd. The crowd was fighting tooth and nail to get a drink from the bar. At one time, with no one sitting at the bar, I grabbed a seat hoping to grab a pint before the next game. The bartender told me he wouldn't be able to get to me because of the queue in the well. It wasn't the end of the world but it was a bit disappointing. I will say though, once you got a table, the servers did a great job! They all were very attentive even thought they were outnumbered. Oh ya, alcohol isn't allowed outside 32 Bar & Gril, so you can't take it down by the ice to watch the games, gotta drink it in the bar. Oh well. Overall the venue's got a great atmosphere overlooking two sheets of ice, one being the Kraken practice sheet, and good food. read more

We went to 32 Bar and Grill on 3-18-25 with high expectations of a good time and good food. And for the prices being charged, we expected delicious food. We walked away disappointed. However, the highlight of the visit was our server Engracia!! We were disappointed you had no way to make a frozen Margarita. Ordered the Prime Rib Dip and Chicken Caesar Salad. The French dip was not good at all - over cooked and unseasoned. The Au Jus was cold with grease on surface and wayyyyyy..too much Rosemary seasoning - (Arby's AuJus is better.) Chicken Caesar salad was good, but would be nice to have the choice to have real croutons instead of ground up seasoned cooked (I assume) bread crumbs. Caesar dressing could also have more flavor, lacked true Caesar dressing flavor. Maybe just a off day and this bar is rocking when the Kraken are in playoff contention, but shockingly we had more fun at the Red Robin. Again, Our server Engracia was fantastic!! read more

I've noticed it's an ideal place for parents and families to grab a bite to eat if they have a family member taking lessons at the ice rinks. I've visited 32 Bar & Grill enough times to notice that the food is a hit or miss. My most recent visit was the UW vs UM game, and that was probably my best food experience at 32 Bar & Grill. We went with the game day special: Wings & a beer. We went with Buffalo sauce, and I thought the wings were perfect! Not overly drenched with sauce with a nice crisp. We also ordered the potato pizza. I was curious about the pizzas at 32, since I did not see any pictures on Yelp. I had low expectations, but the texture of the potatoes was spot on, slight al dente with a fluffy chew. I thought the crust was great as well. The only thing I can suggest is that they salt it up a little more, and it would be perfect. The cheesecake we ordered for dessert was fine, but the whipped cream it came with was weird. The texture was as if the cream was overwhipped and had an overwhelming amount of cinnamon and nutmeg. If I get this again, I would omit the cream. Service wise, I've always had a great experience with the staff at 32. Watching games at 32 is a lot of fun, they even had a raffle for kraken UW hats at the UW vs UM game that got everyone excited. Just keep in mind to arrive early if you plan to get a nice spot at the restaurant to watch the game. Overall I give it 3 stars. I think it's a solid place to hang out, watch games and receive pleasant service. I do see room for growth with the food, but I would return for more pizza and wings. read more

Service is as you would expect at a place that turns over so many tables at a very busy ice rink...that is to say, it's fine for what it is but don't expect a lot of follow up service when your server is dealing with the next group of families coming off the ice. I feel for the servers because the groups all tend to be eight person tables which is why you need to make sure you tell them everything you need/want in the front end. I love this place. I can't believe it's only built for the SkatePlex alone. It has one of my all-time favorite burgers. It's the sauce, no wait is the fresh vegetables, no wait it's the fresh hand crafted Patty. No wait, it's the choice of cheese, no wait, it's the environment. No wait, hmmmmmm, it's everything, that's right it's everything. There is a menu choice for all tastebuds. All equally as fresh and incredible as the next. Their beer selection and spirits selection can't be beat. Along with the occasional party night for the Kraken, it makes for an ideal anytime event please. Bring your mother. Trust me. Plus multiple TV's for watching either NHL games or game of the day. Menu wasn't huge but the selections are great for a bar. My dining experience was a delicious skirt steak with chimichurri sauce along with fries. Delish and delightful was my taste experience and you can take that to the taste bud bank. When I finally got help they told me there was a wait and I would have to go talk to the server hostess now. I did so. I live near northgate and I had no clue there was even a bar at the Kraken practice facility. Surprise surprise! It's great to be able to sit in the restaurant and watch 3 ice rinks. So fun! I went for a Hawks game and the atmosphere was good and it was busy with people coming in and out with all the hockey player and kids. Kids are allowed so be prepared for that. The food was average and the beers were way over priced. My chicken sandwich was $20. It's expensive for what you get. I would go back to watch the hockey players practice but I won't be going back on a regular basis to hang out to eat and drink since it was over priced. It's a fun place and great for big groups. Honestly, what a surprise! The whole rink/kraken/starbucks/bar thing was way more than I expected. Didnt expect so many people to be eating here, didnt expect the service to be outstanding and sure has hell didnt expect the food to be good! The food was pretty excellent (crab mac and cheese here). But the service blew me away. 2 servers touched our table and both were so nice, so accommodating (we were dining with a 3 year old) and quick with drinks, food and the check. If I wanted to eat Sysco frozen foods, I know a few bars that would charge me half the price. In general, the food was... dry? The pork belly tacos and the chicken tenders needed lots of dips and lime to keep things moving. They gave me a lime wedge for each taco and I absolutely needed them. The drinks were not great. Very watery and def not the topo chico they listed in the ingredients. Good to meet our curiosity here and cross this one off the list. Such a great find!! Was staying nearby and wanted a place to watch Monday Night, and this fit the bill perfectly! The poutine is excellent, lemon pepper wings are seasoned perfectly and the house salad is surprisingly delicious. Also I can't find fault in a bar that can make a good French 75 (the name of the drink is Seattle 32 on the menu).
